Ding!
[You have added "RainbowDragon" as a friend.]
[Friends: 7]
"I had already added the others before," Violet smiled lightly while crossing her arms. "You were the only one left."
"Strange ID," Leon noted while glancing at the notification.
"I like it," Violet imdiately protested. "anwhile yours is literally just... Celestial. That’s way stranger."
Leon only shrugged.
Unlike every other player in the higher domains, none of Leon’s companions inside the [Forsaken City] knew about his ID or the global announcents tied to it.
There hadn’t been any worldwide notifications inside the assessnt after all, aning Violet and the others still had no idea what kind of chaos Leon’s existence had already caused outside.
Honestly, Leon preferred it that way. And even if Violet learned the truth, he doubted she would react that strongly anyway.
"I’m in [Higher Domain #1]," Violet said while smiling faintly. "So I’ll probably spend so ti exploring it again. It must’ve changed a lot after all these years. Let’s et up later if we get the chance."
"Alright," Leon nodded.
"Leave."
The mont Violet spoke the command, her body imdiately dissolved into particles of light before disappearing from the [Expert Divine Temple].
And just like that, Leon was alone once more. Well... mostly alone.
The temple itself was still packed with players from countless races moving around the enormous divine hall, so entering assessnts while others returned injured, exhausted, or celebrating their rankings.
Leon casually opened his [Friends List] afterward just to check sothing.
As expected, both Emilia and Celeste still showed the status: [Expert Divine Temple]. aning they were still inside their assessnts.
’Still going huh,’ Leon thought while leaning against one of the gigantic walls of the temple near the gate area.
Strangely enough, this ti there hadn’t been any global announcents regarding the completion of his God-Rank Assessnt.
Though after thinking about it carefully, Leon realized it actually made sense.
Back in his previous life, he had never personally witnessed such announcents either despite the fact so players probably completed God-Rank Assessnts without anyone else realizing it.
And so, Leon waited. Hours passed quietly like that.
From where he sat, Leon watched hundreds upon hundreds of players get their rankings, head into their respective gates or erge from the divine gates one after another.
As expected, almost nobody managed to achieve an S-Rank. Most people received ranks far lower than that.
And naturally, because this was the [Expert Divine Temple], fights constantly erupted everywhere as well.
Leon watched several players slash each other apart over petty argunts, insults, or simple arrogance.
Blood stained parts of the massive temple floor every now and then before divine energy erased the remains shortly afterward.
Leon didn’t care in the slightest. As long as nobody bothered him, he had no reason to interfere.
And honestly, after everything he had gained inside the [Forsaken City], none of the players inside this temple could even remotely threaten him anymore.
The difference in combat power between them was simply absurd.
Even if every single player inside the temple attacked him together, they probably still wouldn’t manage to injure him.
But of course, as though fate itself wanted to annoy him—
BOOM!
A massive explosion of aura erupted in the middle of the massive chamber.
[S-Rank]
The glowing golden words imdiately attracted attention throughout the surrounding area as countless players turned toward the gate in shock and envy.
Then—
BOOM!
Another S-Rank appeared.
And imdiately after that—
BOOM!
A third.
Leon looked toward the [Divine Stele] with narrowed eyes.
’Similar to when , Celeste, and Emilia got our rankings,’ Leon thought calmly. ’Except mine was God-Rank.’
And naturally, the players erging from the crowd were people Leon imdiately recognized.
"Oh co on," Leon sighed.
The three figures walking out stood nearly two ters tall with crimson skin, black horns protruding from their heads, and powerful physiques overflowing with demonic aura.
Anybody familiar with the [Higher Domains] would instantly recognize their race. They were players from [Fated Star].
And more specifically... Titan, Ralph and Tiara. The exact sa trio Leon had encountered multiple tis already.
The last ti they t, Leon had literally sliced Ralph’s arm off.
Though judging from how the crimson-skinned demon flexed his fingers now, it had obviously been healed sohow.
At the sa ti, Leon also understood far more about them now after speaking with Violet earlier.
The biggest revelation being the fact that [Fated Star] itself hadn’t actually been destroyed. Its world still existed.
aning these players could potentially return ho. It was a strange concept for Leon to think about.
If Earth still existed, he would absolutely try to return there soday. Unfortunately, Earth had already been annihilated. There was nothing left to return to.
anwhile, the Eternal-Level worlds still survived: [Fated Star], [Ember], and the third one Leon knew about.
Perhaps there were more of these worlds, but their players would likely be in the [Eternal Domain].
Leon didn’t fully understand the rules behind returning ho though.
Maybe there were conditions. Or perhaps they could freely return whenever they wanted.
And if that was possible... Did that an many people from Eternal-Level worlds simply refused to seriously participate in [Eternal Ascension]?
After all, if their worlds were still alive, what forced them to risk their lives climbing endlessly for power?
People like Violet clearly pursued strength willingly. But others might simply choose peaceful lives instead.
Leon eventually shook his head, ’No point wasting ti thinking about this now.’
anwhile, the three players from [Fated Star] had already noticed him.
"Hah," Titan laughed softly while his eyes glead with interest. "I guess this world is smaller than anticipated."
"Holy shit, it’s that human again," Tiara blinked several tis in disbelief. "Why do we keep running into him?"
"Disgusting," Ralph spat while glaring directly at Leon with obvious hatred burning in his eyes.
It was clear he still hadn’t forgotten what Leon did to him previously. Not that Leon cared.
"In here, nobody can protect you," Ralph laughed coldly while stepping forward slightly. "And my combat power already reached one million, so—"
"Ralph." Titan’s calm voice imdiately interrupted him, "Don’t waste ti. Let’s go."
"But—"
"Let’s go."
"...Damn it, fine," Ralph clicked his tongue before glaring at Leon one last ti. "But rember this, human. Soday I’m going to kill you."
"Go back to your world before I destroy you instead," Leon smiled casually. "None of you stand a chance against ."
And at that mont, Leon allowed a small portion of his aura to leak outward.
Instantly, all three demons froze. A chill ran down their spines.
Titan’s eyes widened slightly.
"...Incredible," he muttered while staring at Leon carefully. "How strong are you exactly?"
Leon didn’t answer. He simply kept smiling.
Eventually, Titan slowly turned around.
"Well," he said calmly, "it won’t matter in the end. Because before the strongest among us...Even fifty million combat power won’t be enough."
Then without another word, the trio stepped toward the S-Rank gate before disappearing inside their next assessnt.
anwhile, Leon remained leaning against the wall while a strange grin slowly spread across his face.
’Fifty million isn’t enough, huh?’ Leon thought while chuckling softly, ’Then I’ll just aim for one hundred million.’
