For his future boss and partner, Lucifer was truly at a loss, yet as proud as he was, it was evidently impossible for him to grovel shalessly like this guy.
So, apart from silently despising the idea that a sycophant never ends well, the King of Fallen Angels quickly composed himself.
"Alright, let's talk about the purpose of your summoning ."
Lucifer asked.
He remained amiable and did not display the arrogant deanor of the Demon Lord of Pride as legend would have it. This made the hobody witch, who was ready with a powerful strike, pause and scratch her head in confusion.
"Ah, this, isn't it said that the Demon Lord of Pride is difficult to get along with, antisocial, and acts superior? Isn't this quite amiable?"
Dorothy suddenly felt there might be room for negotiation, so there was no need to unleash everything at once.
At that mont, she quickly put on a sweet smile and obediently responded.
"Actually, we didn't plan to summon you. It was just the child being mischievous, causing trouble. We're really here to discuss sothing with the Vanzo family and the Sacrificial Faction."
The hobody witch said while glancing at the Vanzo mother and daughter, who have been dumbfounded from the beginning.
As for the Duke Vanzo and Lucia, they were really shocked, looking at this true form of the descended Demon Lord of Pride in disbelief.
No, how did it beco so easy to successfully summon?
Back then, their whole Sacrificial Faction put in significant effort to build the Demon God Summoning Altar. Later, they spent even more to get the high and mighty Demon God to glance at them and respond to their request.
Yet, despite all that, Lord Lucifer wasn't inclined to deal with them much. The last successful summon by the Vanzo family was decades ago, and even then, Lucifer couldn't be bothered to send even an incarnation and only left a command to search for the Soul of Extre Evil and a drop of his blood.
Later, Vanzo used that drop of Demon God's Blood with Vampire Clan Secret Arts and Witchcraft Secrets to nurture her hybrid daughter Lucia.
Well, the Vanzo and the entire Sacrificial Faction were quite satisfied with that summoning, as such a result was already remarkable among records of attempts to summon the Demon Lord of Pride.
After all, Lucifer, being the Demon Lord of Pride, naturally wouldn't care about the requests of a bunch of ants, right?
Most summonings aid at the Demon Lord of Pride ended in failure, and Lucifer wouldn't bother to respond.
But since the Thirteen Vampire Clan Families had a history with the incarnation of the Great Demon Satan, their sacrifice received a response and even a precious drop of Demon God's Blood, which other summoners wouldn't dare dream of.
Vanzo herself was sowhat pleased by this.
But now, seeing the direct descent of Lucifer's true form, this Vampire Clan Witch Grand Duke felt her mind was burning.
This is a real descent of a Demon God, and with such a gentle deanor....
Vanzo admitted she felt a bit sour because Lord Satan was her unrequited love for thousands of years. Her forming the Sacrificial Faction and seeking a path with Lucifer was driven by this unspoken affection.
Though she remained loyal to the Thirteen Vampire Clan Families and never thought of betrayal, she was willing to get closer to her White Moonlight without breaching her loyalty.
After she received the Demon God's Blood, instead of using it to enhance her strength, she chose to conceive a daughter, showing her intentions clearly.
Yet now, with the true presence of her White Moonlight, they wouldn't even spare a glance at her and her daughter....
Though Vanzo had ntally prepared, knowing that the eyes of the great one never saw her, that this affection was rely the humble adoration of a weak mortal for a powerful demon, let alone for the true form of Lord Lucifer.
Yet, no amount of ntal preparation could prevent a tinge of sadness when faced with the bloody reality that "my image was never in the eyes of the great one" before her.
And what saddened her more was that it wasn't until this disguised Miss Magician noticed them that her White Moonlight followed and finally paid attention to them.
How truly clownish I am.
Vanzo laughed bitterly in her heart.
Fortunately, she was no longer the naive, fragile mortal of yore; thousands of years had already transford her from the noble young lady she once was into the Vampire Clan Witch Grand Duke commanding a region.
She quickly composed herself and humbly bowed to the silver-haired beauty with a face strikingly similar to the Lucifer of her mories.
"I greet you, Lord Demon God."
Only then did Lucifer finally set his gaze upon the two Vampire Clan witches. However, unlike his earlier amiability towards Adam, Dorothy, and Artie, the gaze of the Lord Demon God was suprely aloof.
No, this should be his true nature; he inherently looks down on the world with contempt. There are few things in this world that can catch his eye, and even fewer worthy of equal treatnt.
