In the distant Sea of Blood, Du Guangyuan gazed at the pillar of light disappearing mid-air and Shitang Longsi standing in the air, a scene from the battle at the Secret Prison suddenly surfaced in his mind, jolting him awake as he loudly warned, "Watch out, he’s deceitful!"
Before he could react to the warning, a colossal photograph appeared beside Shitang Longsi, from which a gigantic pillar of light shot out swiftly, turning Shitang Longsi’s figure into nothingness under the dazzling glow once again.
"Cough, cough, cough!" After a mont, a silhouette fell from the void. Despite using the Substitution Technique, the series of three powerful bombardnts heavily impacted Shitang Longsi, who knelt on one knee with a knife in hand and coughed up several mouthfuls of blood. His skin, reddened due to the possession by Kamikaze Thunder God, now appeared more ferocious and horrifying as it was stained by blood seeping from his wounds.
Facing an apparently heavily wounded enemy, Pei Yan did not continue the bombardnt. The three full-power electromagnetic cannon shots had nearly exhausted the limit of his Origin Energy. After deactivating the chanical turret state, he couldn’t help but pant heavily and adjust his breathing and physical condition to recover the overly consud Origin Energy.
"Why don’t you fire another shot! Three shots is your limit, huh? What a pity; one more strike might have killed !" said Shitang Longsi as he struggled to stand straight with the sword’s hilt, looking at the exhausted Pei Yan with a cold sneer.
"Why would I waste another shot on you? Why are you little bastards so shaless? Even after being beaten like this, your mouth is still this tough!" Pei Yan retorted, taking out a bottle of mineral water from his ring, chugging it down before tossing the empty bottle aside.
Upon hearing the taunts, Shitang Longsi did not retort as he usually would; instead, his face darkened with competitiveness. He silently reached for the ring on his finger, obtaining a blue pill which he swallowed.
Watching Shitang Longsi healing rapidly in both injuries and energy after consuming the pill, Pei Yan understood and sighed deeply with his hands on his forehead. The Investigation Bureau reportedly lacked such pills for rapid power enhancent and injury recovery – not due to stinginess but because such dication has stringent usage criteria, requiring at least a Fifth Rank Superpower Awakened for safe consumption. Lower-ranking Awakened would face detrintal effects or even death.
Now, i Simiao serves as the best example, suffering severe side effects despite his powerful Seventh Rank Awakened status, showcasing the potency of the drug.
Since the Investigation Bureau has them, it’s natural that those closer to other dinsions, like the God’s Desire group, wouldn’t lack them.
Indeed, envying the dicine doesn’t help anything if one’s strength is insufficient!
With the last wound healed, Shitang Longsi’s gaze turned venomous, his murderous intent erupted sharply on him. Grasping his longsword, his figure vanished instantly, realising now through multiple vicious battles that he must never distance himself from this annoying brat. His advantage lay in close combat, and he would achieve ultimate victory through relentless lee attacks.
With this thought, the next mont, he appeared before Pei Yan, slashing with his longsword fiercely, each cut faster and tighter than the last, leaving no room for retaliatory breath. No matter how Pei Yan evaded or maneuvered, Shitang Longsi followed relentlessly, targeting Pei Yan’s vital points, aiming, hacking, flipping, and swiping to put him down.
Under the torrential blade assault, Pei Yan couldn’t help but acknowledge that had it not been for relying on the chanical Eye and internal Suzi to quickly analyze and react, directing his body, he would already be minced flesh and et instant death under such attacks.
Even now, integrating all functions with the Power of Thunder yielded just enough defense without hope for counterattack. Seeing the situation turning grimr, he anxiously called out in his mind, "Suzi, not done analyzing yet?"
"Please hold on a bit longer, data is still being collected," Suzi’s gentle voice resonated within Pei Yan’s mind.
After Shitang Longsi shattered the thirteenth longsword in his hand, Pei Yan rolled his eyes and continued urging, "For heaven’s sake! Hurry up! Or once you finish collecting I’ll be dead!"
"Sorry, I’m already at maximum speed, dismantling enemy offensives while parsing data simultaneously," Suzi replied, slightly frustrated and agitated.
Pei Yan froze, surprised by how over ti, nad Suzi by him, the system seed increasingly humanized following his Third Rank Awakening.
In that mont of distraction, Shitang Longsi sharply noticed Pei Yan’s slowed bodily reaction and seized the opportunity, his desire to kill left no room for hesitation, swinging the longsword down.
Pei Yan quickly returned to his senses and raised the sword to block, in his rush unaware of the feint attack. Mid-swing, Shitang Longsi changed tactics from slash to stab, piercing Pei Yan’s left arm straight through.
Having succeeded with this move, Shitang Longsi’s face showed a cruel smile. With the lightning-emitting blade, he hacked off Pei Yan’s left arm, simultaneously leaving a long scar along his chest, exposing the Origin Energy inside Pei Yan’s chanical body. It fueled his ferocity, rekindling a long-hidden thought in his mind: if he personally killed an Origin Fragnt holder, what would happen? Would the fragnt just beco his?
The last person he associated with this idea was his highly esteed master, yet faced with his master’s unfathomable power, such thoughts remained re fantasies!
Now, he had the chance to realize that idea! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Driven by this insane notion, Shitang Longsi lunged aggressively towards Pei Yan’s heart. Just as the blade neared, bang! An electromagnetic cannon shot struck his cheek precisely, halting his assault. Pei Yan seized the mont to activate the engine on his back and soar straight into the sky.
Floating in the air, Pei Yan felt a wave of suffocation and powerlessness transmitted to his mind. Although his chanical body couldn’t feel pain, the severe damage incurred still fed back negatively into his consciousness.
"Pei Yan!" From afar, Pei Jin, who was assisting Wang Wenze and closely monitoring the battlefield, cried out in anguish as her beautiful eyes widened upon seeing her brother lose an arm and have his chest slashed open.
"Go help Pei Yan! I’m managing here!" Wang Wenze shouted while alternating attacks alongside Liang Qian against the bloodpeople continuously appearing in the Sea of Blood.
Upon hearing Wang Wenze, Pei Jin did not hesitate and vanished from her spot.
