The cup was large, and it wobbled in the little one’s two small hands.

Seeing this, Chloe Reed reached out and took it, but her expression remained cold.

Noah looked at her timidly. "Auntie, you didn’t say thank you."

Chloe: "..."

She laughed in exasperation.

She looked down at him. "You’re not scared of anymore?"

Noah looked at her cold face. He used to be scared of it, but surprisingly, he wasn’t anymore. He just shook his head honestly. "Not scared."

"Heh..." Chloe scoffed. "Wait till I call the Big Bad Wolf to snatch you away. Then you’ll be scared."

Noah shook his head. "My uncle will scare the Big Bad Wolf away."

Chloe: "..."

’I must be crazy.’

’Why am I even talking to a kid I can’t stand?!’

She looked at Walker Grant and said, "Move. I’m going ho."

Walker Grant: "I haven’t eaten. No energy."

"..."

Noah carefully wiped his small hands with a hot towel and then began to eat.

He had excellent table manners, taking small, slow bites and not randomly grabbing at food.

Chloe found herself watching him.

Walker Grant noticed her expression. His gaze flickered downward for a mont before he quickly looked away.

He spoke up, "I’m planning to get custody of Noah."

Chloe looked at him, astonished. "Turning your nephew into your son? Aren’t you clever."

At her words, Walker Grant’s brow furrowed. He gave her a look of exasperation and said, "I just said I’m getting custody. I never said I was making him my son. He’s my older brother’s son."

"Heh..." Chloe scoffed again. "Is there really a difference? In his eyes, you’re no different from a father."

Noah had never t his father; the person he was closest to was Walker Grant.

Looking at the mockery in her eyes, he said very seriously, "I’ll have my own children. There’s no need to make my brother’s child my son."

Chloe’s expression remained cold. "Oh, that’s nice."

"You agree?"

But to her surprise, he suddenly grew excited.

Chloe frowned. "Agree to what?"

Walker Grant said, "Let’s have one."

Chloe was on the verge of swearing. She stared at him as if he were a madman. "Have you no sha? After everything that’s happened, you have the nerve to suggest we have a child? Walker Grant, did I dig up your family’s graves in a past life? Is that why you’re taking revenge on like this?"

"Chloe."

Walker Grant sighed in exasperation. "But haven’t you always wanted a child?"

"And I’ve always wanted a divorce. Why won’t you agree to that?"

"..."

The conversation hit another dead end.

Walker Grant fell silent. Without getting up, he began to eat slowly and thodically, just like Noah.

Just then, his phone rang. He took it out and saw it was a call from Judith Pierce.

"Hello, Mom."

Judith Pierce’s tone was grave. "Walker Grant, what have you done?"

"What?"

"Sunny Reed ca to the family estate. The mont she walked in, she claid you were trying to take her son from her, and then she fainted. She’s at the hospital now. You need to get over here imdiately," Judith Pierce said, her voice low.

Walker Grant’s brow furrowed. "And did she tell you what happened?"

"She fainted right after saying that one sentence. How am I supposed to know?" Judith Pierce sounded unhappy. If Walker Grant really did take Noah, Sunny Reed would undoubtedly latch onto him for good.

That was not a situation she wanted to see.
