How ridiculous!
Chloe Reed stared at her. "Listen to yourself. Don’t you think this is ridiculous? We all know what you’re after. I’m not giving them to you. Now tell , where is Grandma!"
Autumn Linton shook her head. "I’m not telling you unless you do as I say."
Chloe Reed’s hands clenched into tight fists. She was utterly disappointed in Autumn Linton!
’This woman is despicable!’
"What about the Reed Group? Aren’t you afraid of it going bankrupt?" Chloe Reed asked coldly.
Autumn Linton frowned. "You want to move against your own family’s company? Chloe Reed, are you insane?"
"She won’t, but I will."
Just then, a deep, magnetic voice rang out, and with it, a bone-chilling coldness enveloped the living room.
Autumn Linton was startled to see Walker Grant walk in through the door.
"Walker Grant, this is our family’s business. What does it have to do with you?" Autumn Linton’s heart tightened as she spoke hastily, desperate to drive him away.
She had never, ever expected Walker Grant to suddenly appear at a ti like this.
’If he gets involved, things will get a lot more complicated!’
Walker Grant glanced at Chloe Reed and, seeing she was unhard, swept a cool gaze over Autumn Linton. "I’m just the type of person who loves to ddle in other people’s business," he said. "Can the Reed Group really survive another round of turmoil?"
"You!"
Autumn Linton’s expression turned grim.
She quickly composed herself and said, "Walker Grant, it was Sunny who saved you back then. In all these years, she’s never asked you for a single thing. Now, she only has one wish, and that’s to give her grandmother the sapphire earrings that belong to her. You won’t even help her with sothing so simple? Are you not going to repay her kindness?"
Walker Grant arched an eyebrow. "Right now, we’re talking about where Grandma is. What does that have to do with her?"
Autumn Linton said, "Have her bring out the sapphire earrings, and I’ll tell you where Grandma is."
Chloe Reed’s spine stiffened slightly, and she looked toward Walker Grant.
For a mont, the atmosphere in the living room was frozen solid.
Her heart leaped into her throat.
’Compared to the other assets, a pair of sapphire earrings really isn’t much.’
’Is he going to help Autumn Linton, too?’
Chloe Reed’s heart sank lower and lower.

For a mont, she was speechless.
She knew she didn’t have what it took to control Walker Grant.
If Walker Grant decided to be ruthless, he wouldn’t care who any of them were.
Just as the atmosphere grew even more tense, Walker Grant’s phone rang. He answered, "Hello?"
A mont later, he hung up and turned to Chloe Reed. "Let’s go. They’ve found Grandma."
Hearing this, so of the tension drained from Chloe Reed’s body. She asked urgently, "Where is she?"
The next second, her own phone rang. It was a call from Daniel Hayes.
"Hello, Daniel Hayes."
"Miss Reed, we’ve found Grandma Sutton," Daniel Hayes said. "She’s at a nursing ho on the outskirts of the city. Our people are almost there."
Chloe Reed closed her eyes. "Okay," she said. "I’m on my way."
Without another glance at Autumn Linton, she hurried outside.
Autumn Linton stood up and subconsciously took two steps after her, her expression grim.
’They found her so quickly.’
’This ans my plan has failed.’
’What do I do now?’
’What else can I possibly do?’
