Walker Grant ignored him, leading Chloe Reed to a seat on the sofa. The man of the hour hadn’t arrived, so anything they said now would be a waste of breath.
Chloe Reed, however, couldn’t help but glance at William Quinn.
She knew what he ant.
Walker Grant had promised to help him find the girl he’d spent the night with, but so far, there had been no news.
’It wasn’t that she hadn’t been found, but that they couldn’t reveal who she was.’
’If they told William Quinn the girl was Iris Yates, Iris would probably face huge trouble!’
’So, this matter had to be kept secret.’
’Iris’s life is peaceful. She can’t get dragged into this kind of ss.’
Chloe Reed lowered her gaze slightly, hiding her thoughts.
But William Quinn refused to let it go. He marched right over, his blue eyes fixed on Walker Grant. "You actually brought a date? Aren’t you afraid of your wife finding out? Isn’t she already trying to divorce you? If I tell her about this, she’ll be even more determined to leave you. You’re going to lose your wife!"
He looked delighted, as if he could already see this future, a wide grin spreading across his face.
Walker Grant arched an eyebrow. "Are you threatening ?"
"You’re the one who lied to first!" William Quinn said angrily. "You promised you’d help find my first-ti girl, but how many days has it been? Have you even looked for her? You haven’t looked at all!"
Walker Grant chuckled. "I did promise you, but did I ever say I would *guarantee* I’d find her?"
"You!"
William Quinn’s blue eyes widened in an instant. "You’re too cunning! You’re a sly fox!"
Walker Grant held up his hands. "I looked, but I couldn’t find her. I didn’t break my promise, and I didn’t lie to you. Maybe the girl just saw it as a one-night stand and doesn’t want to see you again. Why are you so fixated on it?"
"She has to take responsibility for !" William Quinn’s expression was incredibly stubborn. "She took my first ti! She has to take responsibility!"
Everyone nearby who heard this was stunned!
’A man, caring so much about his first ti?’
Chloe Reed shot him a look of utter astonishnt.
’He looks like a total playboy, but that was his first ti?’
’He couldn’t be lying, could he?’
William Quinn ignored them and started to drink sullenly, muttering to himself about his "first-ti girl."
Nathaniel Monroe, sitting off to the side, rubbed his temples. "I’ve heard this a thousand tis already. It’s like he’s possessed."
He leaned in closer and whispered, "Sotis I think he’s got a screw loose."
As he said this, he tapped his head.
Walker Grant said, "You should talk less. Be careful he doesn’t cut your tongue out."
Nathaniel Monroe imdiately slapped a hand over his mouth, his eyes showing a flicker of real fear.
Because that madman, William Quinn, had actually done sothing like that before!
Chloe Reed held a glass of juice, taking small sips. She couldn’t help feeling anxious, but she forced herself to remain calm.
"Hey, you know he’s married, right?"
William Quinn had sidled up beside her at so point, his blue eyes staring straight at her.
Chloe Reed raised an eyebrow, though her expression was hidden by her mask. "And?" she asked.
William Quinn said at once, "He’s married, so you shouldn’t get too close to him! Don’t go around seducing another woman’s husband. That’s completely immoral!"
Chloe Reed was baffled.
