Seeing her frightened expression, Chloe Reed quickly reassured her. "Okay, don’t overthink it. He hasn’t found you, and he won’t be able to for now."
Iris Yates looked at her, lips trembling, and asked, "He’s been looking for this whole ti. Will getting married really work?"
Chloe Reed lowered her gaze slightly and said, "We’re just betting on a possibility—that if you’re married, he’ll drop those ideas he has."
Iris Yates’s small face scrunched up. A sense of unease inexplicably grew in her heart, and her anxiety made her feel nauseous.
She covered her mouth and ran straight to the bathroom, where she started to dry heave.
Seeing this, Chloe Reed hurried after her with a bottle of water. A sense of unease grew in Chloe’s heart as she watched her friend heave like that.
"Iris, have you gotten your period?"
Iris rinsed her mouth and said, "It’s not ti yet. It’s still a week away."
She clutched the water bottle, asking with extra nervousness, "Chloe, what do you an? Don’t scare ."
Chloe Reed said, "You’re suddenly so nauseous. I’m just worried, what if..."
"Impossible!"
Iris quickly shook her head. "No way. I rember seeing several used condoms on the floor, so there’s no way I could be pregnant."
Her face flushed slightly as she forced herself to recall the events of that night. Her eyes flickered.
Hearing this, Chloe Reed finally let out a sigh of relief. "That’s good. You absolutely can’t get pregnant right now, or things would get even ssier."
Iris nodded. "Yeah, I know. So it’s definitely not possible. I took the pill afterward."
She nervously took a few more sips of water, and the feeling of nausea disappeared.
After they left the bathroom, Chloe Reed had her join the old lady in a ga of cards.
The old lady was very interested, and gradually, Iris’s tension and fear began to fade.
That evening, the butler prepared a guest room. Chloe Reed led her over and said, "You can stay here tonight. Walker Grant will have soone take you ho tomorrow morning. I’ll co see you then, so just stay put and don’t wander off."
Iris nodded. "Okay, I’ll rember."
She grabbed Chloe Reed’s hand. "Chloe, please stay and keep company tonight."
Chloe Reed nodded. "Sure. I’ll just go take a shower first."
Iris replied, "Okay, I’ll wait for you!"
"Okay."
Back in her room, Chloe Reed took a shower, did her skincare routine, and opened the door to go find Iris.
But to her surprise, Walker Grant was standing right at her doorway.
She froze for a mont, then said, "I’m sleeping with Iris tonight."
But Walker Grant replied, "There are still two tis left this month."
Chloe Reed’s fingers curled slightly. "Can’t you co back tomorrow?"
"No. I want to do it tonight."
As Walker Grant spoke, he walked straight in and wrapped his arm around her waist.
Chloe Reed: "..."
She frowned slightly, wanting to resist. But then she thought about how there were only two tis left. ’The sooner it’s over, the sooner I can relax.’
She said, "Let send Iris a ssage then."
She turned to grab her phone, but the man pulled her back, bent down, and pressed his lips against hers.
"Mmph!"
’What is wrong with him!’
Chloe Reed struggled and hit him, but it was no use. The man on top of her seed to have truly gone mad, taking her with reckless, domineering possession.

Iris waited for a long ti, but Chloe Reed still hadn’t co. She decided to go look for her. Arriving at Chloe’s door, she was just about to knock when she heard strange noises coming from inside.
Iris blinked in confusion. ’What’s that sound?’
She leaned closer to listen. When she realized what the sound was, her face instantly turned red. Her eyes widened, and she quickly turned around and hurried back to her own room.
’Damn it!’
’Grant the Scumbag actually took her Chloe for himself!’
