But Noah Grant kept looking toward Walker Grant, crying out for his uncle over and over.

Charles Reed finally understood.

Charles Reed glared at him. "Walker, aren’t you getting a little too brazen? Is that any way to speak to ?"

Walker Grant’s expression remained cold, but the oppressive air around him only grew stronger. "I just want to settle what happened last night. Lest people get the wrong idea and think you’re a father who can’t tell black from white."
