"You!" Charles Reed’s face was livid.

Just then, Iris Yates spoke up. "Sunny Reed was the one doing all the provoking, so how co our Chloe is the one who ends up getting slapped and yelled at? Sir, you’re so obviously biased."

Charles Reed shot her a dark look. "What does this have to do with you?"

Iris flinched and muttered, "So I’m not allowed to say what’s fair? So biased."

Charles Reed: "..."

He nearly fainted from rage.

He looked at Chloe Reed. "Fine, I was wrong last night. I shouldn’t have hit you. What more do you want?"

Chloe Reed raised an eyebrow. "My face hurts, and so does my heart. I need compensation."

Charles Reed said with a grim face, "Fine, I’ll give you compensation!"

"Ten million."

Charles Reed waved a hand dismissively. "This matter is over. No one is to ever ntion it again. And since it was all just a misunderstanding, let’s drop this talk of divorce. Do you think a marriage is such an easy thing to co by? All of you, just behave yourselves."

After he finished speaking, he got up and left, his expression dark.

"Rocco."

Walker Grant called toward the door.

A tall bodyguard imdiately entered and dragged out the servant who was kneeling on the floor.

Now, only Noah Grant’s soft sobs could be heard in the hospital room.

He was still calling for his uncle, wanting to be held.

Walker Grant sighed and took the boy. "You’re a big boy. Why are you always crying?"

Noah Grant clutched his clothes. "When I can’t see you, I get scared and upset."

"That won’t happen."

Walker Grant’s voice softened. "Don’t listen to your mother. I’ll co see you often."

Noah Grant blinked his big, tear-filled eyes. "Really?"

Walker Grant replied, "When have I ever lied to you?"

"Tsk, tsk. Anyone who didn’t know better would think he was your biological son," Iris Yates chid in again.

Chloe Reed grabbed her hand. "Have you forgotten what happened earlier?"

Iris flinched again. "I just can’t help it. ’Putting so much heart into soone else’s kid... does that an you don’t plan on having any of your own?’"

A sharp pain shot through Chloe Reed’s chest. She took a deep breath and said, "The show’s over, and the money’s in the account. Let’s go."

Iris nodded, grinning. "Hehe, you’re a rich woman now. Be my sugar mama."

Walker Grant watched them go, his brow deeply furrowed. "Chloe..."

But before he could say anything more, Noah, who was in his arms, clutched his clothes. "Uncle, don’t go."

A deep helplessness filled Walker Grant’s eyes, and he could only watch as Chloe Reed walked away.

Autumn Linton, who was standing nearby, said, "Give Noah to . You go after Chloe."

"Co on, co to Grandma," she said, holding her arms out to Noah.

But the little one turned his head away, refusing to look at her, and just clung tightly to Walker Grant.

Outside the hospital, just as she was about to get in the car, Chloe heard a familiar voice from behind.

Chloe Reed said to Iris Yates, "You get in the car and wait for . I’ll be quick."

"Okay."

Chloe Reed turned around to see Autumn Linton approaching. Her expression was cold. "Is there sothing else?"

Autumn Linton reached out to touch her face. "Does it still hurt?"

Chloe Reed instinctively pulled away. "Mom, if you have sothing to say, just say it. I’m hungry and want to go get sothing to eat."

Autumn Linton sighed. "Your father... really. Hitting you in front of so many people, and without holding back. But it’s all right now. The misunderstanding is cleared up, and your father knows he was wrong. Chloe, don’t hold a grudge against him, okay?"
