That year, Sienna Thornton was fifty, and Simon Forrester was fifty-five.
The two were in good health and remained as loving as ever.
The transford Forrester enterprise was also developing better and better, with its industries covering real estate, robot manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and communications, among which the robot manufacturing industry related to AI beca a global oligarch.
That year, Victor turned eighteen, Cherie and Yvie fourteen.
Victor showed his talent in the field of physics the year he entered junior high at the age of twelve. The year he graduated from junior high, he was admitted to the youth class at Caleston Tech and three years later was sent by the country to attend MIT, ranked number one globally in world physics research, to study astrophysics.
Fourteen-year-old Cherie was more lively than her brother and showed a great interest in business operations from a young age. Simon Forrester straightforwardly took him to the Forrester group during vacations to help out, attending etings, and visiting enterprises with him.
Fourteen-year-old Yvie grew up slender and elegant, with deep, defined features much like Simon Forrester, and a tall, slim figure, fair-skinned like her mother. Growing up with Sylvia Langley, she developed a strong interest in fashion and aspired to beco a globally renowned fashion designer. Sylvia Langley was very pleased with this and repeatedly stated publicly that her fashion group in Franland was to be inherited by Yvie in the future.
That year, a hundred and five years old, Old Master Forrester passed away.
Two days before his departure, seemingly feeling his ti was near, he called Simon Forrester to have Victor, far away in the United States, co back. Simon Forrester thought the old man was confused, not understanding that it wasn’t easy for Victor to return from the United States and refused him then and there.
At that ti, Sienna Thornton was right beside him. After hearing the conversation between Simon Forrester and Old Master Forrester, she beca uneasy and took the morning off the next day to visit the elderly man at the old house.
The old man sat in a rocking chair, smiling peacefully while looking at the birdcage hanging under the eaves. Seeing his granddaughter-in-law co in, he smiled and invited her to watch the birdcage together.
In fact, there were no birds in the birdcage.
Sienna Thornton felt uneasy and sat next to the old man, gently asking, "Grandfather, do you wish to see Kyle? Kyle is in the United States, if you want to see him, I’ll have him take leave from school and co back right away."
As soon as the old man heard the na Kyle, tears started flowing down.
Sienna Thornton felt things were not good and imdiately called Victor, telling him to return to the country as soon as possible.
After she returned, she told Simon Forrester that the old man might be nearing the end, urging Simon Forrester to visit the old house more often those days.
Simon Forrester didn’t take it to heart, and it wasn’t until Victor returned ho that the family of five went back to the old house together.
Cherie and Yvie shouted as soon as they entered the courtyard: "Great-grandfather, great-grandfather, we’ve co to see you!"
The twins bounced into the inner hall, with Victor following behind.
Sienna Thornton also hurried her steps.
It was late autumn in the evening at that ti, the outside was bleak and very cold, with an old-fashioned heater in the living room emitting a faint light bringing warmth to the dim environnt.
Old Master Forrester sat in a rocking chair by the fire, and the TV was showing the news of Sienna Thornton hosting a conference.
The twins ran to the TV, exclaiming together: "Wow! Mom is on TV!"
Victor silently walked to the old man, squatted down, held the old man’s withered hands, and softly said, "Great-grandfather, Kyle is here, how is your health?"
The old man ca back to his senses, his eyes shining: "Kyle, you’re back, great-grandfather missed you..." As he spoke, tears flowed.
Victor’s eyes reddened slightly as he stood up to hug the old man.
Sienna Thornton walked over with her bag, bringing the twins from the TV to Old Master Forrester: "Talk with great-grandfather."
Cherie and Yvie imdiately surrounded Old Master Forrester, chattering, making him very happy.
After the family of five had dinner at the old house, noticing Old Master Forrester’s spirit was good, Sienna Thornton had Victor stay to accompany the old man while she and Simon Forrester returned to Fenmore Hill with the twins.
As she got out of the car, she looked up at the starry sky, noticing how bright the stars were that night, she pulled Simon Forrester’s hand to signal him to look.
Simon Forrester looked up.
Sienna Thornton asked: "Seeing the stars reminds of you saying, when you were a child, grandfather would watch the stars with you every night to cheer you up."
Simon Forrester smiled, sighing slightly: "Yeah, so whenever I see the stars, I rember my childhood."
Sienna Thornton shook his hand, her eyes moving to his face, still handso over fifty, worried: "You really should take more ti to accompany grandfather."
Simon Forrester ponderously nodded.
The two held hands and ascended the stairs.
Sienna Thornton’s phone in her bag suddenly rang, she paused, picked it up, and answered: "Kyle, what’s wrong?"
In the next mont, her expression changed completely, her eyes turning red instantly.
Simon Forrester turned to look at her: "Whose call is it?"
She hung up the phone, anxiously saying: "Honey, Kyle said grandfather is not doing well, we must return to the old house quickly."
