Auron charged straight at Oliver with bursting flas covering his entire body and making him look like a blazing teor crashing forward.
anwhile, Aria glided sideways as she circled around the room. Ice continuously ford beneath her feet, allowing her to move effortlessly across the battlefield like she was dancing in frozen field.
"Tch! That girl is trying to encircle and attack from my blind spot!" Oliver muttered. If she were not here, he would have already won this battle. But her interference and intelligence were making the fight far more difficult.
However, Oliver could not allow his concentration to lapse for even a second. Auron was already right in front of him with his arm pulled back and ready to unleash a devastating punch.
Oliver had no ti to react. He imdiately covered his body with Nyx’s green aura. Thanks to his familiarity with Nyx surpassing 100, he was now able to use most of Nyx’s abilities, including the passive skill, Fortress Carapace, which greatly reduced incoming damage.
He quickly raised his arms and received the attack head-on.
BOOM!
The impact was so fierce that his feet were dragged violently across the floor, leaving deep marks on the floor. Oliver could feel an intense burning pain spreading through his arms as if his bones were being crushed by molten steel. Fortunately, Nyx’s defensive skill reduced most of the impact. Otherwise, his arms would have already been shattered.
But before Oliver could fully recover from the attack, another assault followed imdiately. Several sharp ice spikes suddenly appeared behind him and shot toward him at deadly speed.
Oliver’s eyes widened but he stayed calm. He imdiately activated one of his newly acquired skills.
"Terra Spike!"
RUMBLE!
Massive earth spikes erupted violently from the ground and collided head-on with the incoming ice spikes. The clash shattered the ice instantly, sending frozen fragnts scattering across the battlefield.
As the dust cleared, Aria leapt forward and clashed directly with Oliver. Ice covered both of her hands, forming sharp frozen blades around her fingers. She swung her arms rapidly as each of her strikes were swift and precise.
Oliver was imdiately pushed onto the defensive. Thankfully, his passive skill, Triple Instinct, allowed him to evade most of her attacks, but only barely. Several icy slashes still grazed past him, leaving freezing pain across his skin.
Realizing he was being overwheld, Oliver switched to Crimson Aura and attempted to retaliate. However, disappointnt quickly filled him.
Every single attack was effortlessly avoided as Aria’s movents were fluid and smooth. She would evade his strikes by the smallest margin before instantly counterattacking at the sa ti. Each contact causing layers of ice to spread across Oliver’s body little by little.
As Oliver thought things were already bad, the situation beca even worse when Auron suddenly appeared behind him and launched an attack.
"Tch!"
Oliver clicked his tongue and imdiately forced himself backward to create so distance. At this point, he was being completely overwheld.
On the other side, Husk and Nyx were struggling as well.
Nyx’s body was nearly frozen solid with ice spreading across his shell armor, while Frostrix had only suffered minor injuries as it continued flying around to evade attacks effortlessly.
As for Husk, patches of burnt fur covered most of his body from Ignivor’s relentless flas. Both monsters quickly retreated back toward Oliver.
Seeing the condition of his companions, Oliver could not stop the guilt within him. If only he were stronger, his monsters would not have to suffer like this.
Auron and Aria regrouped together with their monsters.
"Huh, looks like he’s struggling. That’s why I told you we didn’t need to use this routine. It’s just a waste of energy," Auron said.
"There’s no such thing as being too careful," Aria replied.
"Let’s finish him right now. I’ve already lost interest in him. I thought this would at least be fun."
The twins then stood side by side before raising their arms toward the center at the sa ti.
Instantly, a massive magical array appeared before them that ford from intertwining red and blue circles that glowed intensely with mana.
Oliver’s eyes widened as he stared at the enormous magic formation.
"Frost Fla Burst!" both of them shouted together.
In the next instant, a beam of ice and flas erupted forward before rging midair into a single devastating attack that carried both scorching heat and freezing cold simultaneously.
BOOM!!!
A massive explosion erupted, shaking the entire dungeon violently.
Auron and Aria slowly lowered their hands. This was their ultimate attack. Even boss monsters would not be able to survive such destructive power.
Auron stepped forward to inspect the damage. But the mont he entered the smoke-filled area, his eyes widened in shock.
The only thing remaining from the blast was Nyx that was frozen solid in a defensive stance.
As for Oliver, he was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, Auron felt a dangerous sensation run down his spine. He imdiately turned toward his twin sister.
"Behind you!"
Aria instantly spun around only to see Oliver with his entire body now engulfed in a complete Crimson Aura due to his synchronization with Husk.
"Do you think you’re the only one who can transform?!" Oliver shouted. In the next instant, he unleashed a relentless combo of attacks toward Aria.
His movents had beco unbelievably fast as he combined Crimson Slash and Crimson Fang together in rapid succession.
Aria was imdiately pushed onto the defensive.
’So fast!’ Aria thought in shock.
She quickly covered the exposed parts of her body with layers of ice shields, but each one was instantly torn apart by Oliver’s crimson enhanced attacks.
Although the ice continued regenerating over ti, it consud a massive amount of mana and causing her reserves to deplete rapidly.
As Oliver continued attacking Aria without pause, his eyes briefly glanced toward the frozen Nyx in the distance who had sacrificed himself to block their ultimate attack.
’Thank you, Nyx... I’ll repay what you did for .’
"Rarrgh!" Auron roared as he charged forward. Oliver imdiately kicked Aria away to create distance before using the montum to launch himself straight toward Auron. Aria was sent crashing backward behind them.
Oliver t Auron head-on and swiftly evaded his incoming attack. In the next mont, he unleashed countless slashes across Auron’s body.
Compared to Aria, Auron’s reaction speed was slower, making it harder for him to keep up with Oliver’s relentless assault.
Each ti Oliver struck, flas instinctively covered Auron’s body to protect him from the damage. But Oliver quickly noticed sothing.
The flas regenerated slower around Auron’s torso after repeated attacks. Without hesitation, Oliver focused all of his attacks on that single spot.
Finally, after forcing the flas to weaken, Oliver seized the opportunity and delivered a powerful kick to Auron’s torso, sending him flying across the room.
"Auron!" Aria shouted.
Her transformation had already started fading as she returned to her normal form. Compared to Auron, her mana capacity was far lower. She dropped to one knee and breathing heavily from exhaustion.
anwhile, Auron, who still had plenty of mana remaining, slowly stood back up. He coughed out blood as intense pain spread through his chest.
Wiping the blood from his mouth, his eyes turned bloodshot with rage.
"How... dare... you!!"
Suddenly, Auron inhaled deeply.
The surrounding air rushed violently into his mouth, and at the sa ti, all the flas covering his body and the nearby area were drawn toward him as well.
His cheeks swelled while the muscles across his body tightened and expanded from the overwhelming energy gathering inside him.
Aria’s face instantly paled. She knew exactly what attack her twin brother was about to unleash.
It was a devastating skill capable of engulfing everything in its path, both allies and enemies alike. She imdiately attempted to create an Ice Barrier.
But the mont she raised her hand, she suddenly coughed weakly. At the sa ti, Frostrix disappeared and was forcibly recalled into her body.
"Oh no... my mana is empty..."Her face turned pale with fear.
Oliver imdiately beca alert. He could feel the terrifying amount of mana gathering inside Auron’s body. His instinct in him told that the attack being prepared was extrely dangerous.
Right now, his only thought was to escape. He quickly recalled Nyx and prepared to run when his eyes suddenly landed on Aria, who was still kneeling helplessly on the ground.
Her ice armor had vanished, and Frostrix was gone as well.
"Why isn’t she moving...? Don’t tell -" The mont Oliver saw her pale expression, he imdiately understood.
On the other side, Auron had already finished preparing his attack. He then unleashed it forward.
"Howl of the Flaming Beast!"
A gigantic sphere of blazing flas roared across the room toward Oliver. Oliver’s original intention was to dodge and escape using his current speed.
But if he moved away now, the girl behind him would be completely engulfed by the attack.
(What are you doing, kid?! Run!) Husk shouted inside Oliver’s mind.
Oliver hesitated for a brief mont before finally making his decision. He activated Scarlet Pursuit and instantly appeared behind Aria.
Aria was shocked by his sudden arrival and imdiately tried to struggle free but Oliver quickly shouted at her,
"If you struggle, we’ll both die!"
Hearing those words, Aria imdiately stopped resisting. Oliver pulled her onto his shoulder before dashing forward at full speed.
At the very last second, he activated Scarlet Pursuit once again and burst away from the area.
BOOOOOOM!!!
