"The woman who often appears in your thoughts," I said, my tone deliberate, stepping closer to Akaza as the artificial darkness I had summoned cloaked the battlefield. "The one who holds your heart, even now. I can bring her back."

Akaza froze mid-step, the feral grin slipping from his face, replaced by an expression of confusion and shock. His piercing golden eyes locked onto mine, searching for so hint of deceit.

"What are you talking about?" he demanded, his voice quieter than before but carrying an unmistakable edge of vulnerability.

I didn’t flinch under his intense gaze. "I can resurrect her for you," I said, taking another step forward, the ground crunching under my boots. "But only if you choose to stand with . You need to make a decision—here and now."

He remained silent, the words hanging heavily in the air between us. For the first ti since the fight began, Akaza seed at a loss. His fists, still clenched tightly, slowly lowered as his posture shifted. He wasn’t backing down—no, Akaza didn’t back down. But the weight of my offer was clearly pulling at sothing deep inside him, sothing even his Blood Demon Arts and martial prowess couldn’t mask.

I observed him carefully. Normally, I wasn’t the type to seek male subordinates.

But Akaza was different. He wasn’t just strong; he was soone I could respect. A warrior who held an unshakable resolve, even in the face of his own darkness.

The mory of Akaza’s fate in the original story ca to my mind, the manga panel seared into my mory. I recalled how he self-destructed in the fight against Tanjiro and Giyu—not because he was defeated by their strength but because of the lingering trace of a sickly girl he had once loved, whose face and na he could barely rember.

Even as a demon, twisted and lost in the endless hunger for blood, Akaza had adhered to a personal code. He refused to consu won, an unspoken vow tied to that girl from his human life.

That kind of loyalty, that depth of feeling, wasn’t sothing I could overlook. It was rare, even among humans. Among demons, it was practically unheard of. Akaza wasn’t just another enemy to be defeated; he was a potential ally, a kindred spirit in his own way.

Akaza’s lips twitched as if he wanted to say sothing, but the words didn’t co. His breathing was heavy, his chest rising and falling with the remnants of our brutal clash.

I could see the conflict in his eyes—rage, desperation, and the faintest flicker of hope—maybe.

"You’re lying," he said finally, though his voice lacked conviction. "Demons can’t bring back the dead. Not even My Lady could do that."

"I’m not Muzanette," I said firmly, my tone cold. "And what I can do is far beyond what he ever dread of. You’ve seen it with your own eyes." I gestured toward the unnatural night that still hung over the battlefield, the spell’s imnse power radiating in every direction. "This is just a fraction of my abilities. If I say I can bring her back, I an it."

Akaza’s gaze darted to the barrier, which is protecting him from sunlight.

His hands tightened into fists again, and I could feel the tension radiating from him. This wasn’t a decision he could make lightly.

"You don’t even know her na," he said bitterly, though there was a tremor in his voice. "You don’t know anything about her."

"I don’t need to know her na," I replied. "What matters is that she was important to you. Important enough that even as a demon, even after losing all mory of who she was, you still honored her. That’s why I’m offering you this chance. I respect warriors, Akaza. And you deserve the chance to reclaim what you’ve lost."

He stared at , the wildness in his eyes replaced by sothing far more human—pain, uncertainty, and a yearning that he couldn’t suppress. For a long mont, there was only silence.

"You’re asking to betray my lady," he said finally, his voice low. "To turn my back on everything I’ve beco."

"I’m offering you freedom," I corrected. "From Muzanette, from the endless cycle of killing and hunger, from the emptiness that’s consud you for centuries. And in return, I’ll give you the one thing you’ve been chasing all this ti without even realizing it."

Akaza’s fists trembled, and for a mont, I thought he might attack again. But instead, he lowered his head, his expression hidden by the shadows. His voice, when he spoke, was barely above a whisper.

"If you’re lying... I’ll kill you," he said, his tone deadly serious. "Even if it costs my life, I’ll make sure you suffer."

I allowed myself a faint smile, inclining my head slightly in acknowledgnt. "Fair enough." Then I opened a [gate] and sent Akaza to Nazarick.
