Without hesitation, we strode past the gates and into the graveyard.

The silence inside was suffocating.

The flickering torches from the guards behind barely illuminated the ruined gravestones ahead. The once-proud cetery was now little more than a ruined battleground, with desecrated tombs and shattered coffins scattered across the soil.

Corpses stirred in the shadows.

I could hear the scraping of bone and the low groans of the undead as they sensed us, their unnatural hunger pulling them from their slumber.

Several zombies and skeletons turned toward us, their hollow eyes glowing with eerie light.

Solution humd beside , unfazed. "Alex-sama, may I take care of them?"

"No need," I said.

I unsheathed my sword. The blade glead in the dim torchlight, untouched by rust or filth.

The undead moved, their slow, dragging steps turning into a clumsy charge.

I exhaled.

"First Form: Flaming Torrent."

The mont my blade swung, a wave of fire erupted from its edge. The flas surged forward like a raging inferno, consuming everything in their path.

The zombies didn’t even have a chance to scream before they were engulfed. Their decayed bodies turned to ash in an instant, collapsing into smoldering heaps.

The skeletons fared no better. Their brittle bones cracked and shattered under the heat, their forms crumbling to dust.

In a re breath, the entrance of the graveyard was cleared.

"Beautiful," Solution murmured, watching the flas flicker before fading.

I didn’t respond.

My eyes were already locked onto the center of the graveyard.

Sothing was there.

Sothing powerful.

I could feel it—a cold, oppressive presence, lurking beyond the broken tombstones.

And it was waiting.

"Let’s move."

We pressed forward, stepping deeper into the graveyard. The further we went, the more the air thickened with death.

More undead rose from the ground, crawling out of their graves with lifeless expressions.

A few low-tier wraiths floated among them, their ghostly figures drifting like mist, whispering curses in an ancient tongue.

Annoying.

I didn’t slow down.

With a flick of my wrist, I swung my sword in a downward arc.

"Second Form: Waterfall Slash."

A glowing blue arc of energy crashed down like a tidal wave.

The force of the strike split the earth itself, sending debris flying as the undead were cut apart. The wraiths let out eerie shrieks before they, too, were torn apart by the water’s force, their ethereal bodies fading into nothingness.

The graveyard trembled under the impact.

Solution chuckled softly. "You truly never disappoint, Alex-sama."

I barely paid attention.

We were close now.

The oppressive aura ahead grew stronger with each step.

And then, we saw it.

A figure stood in the center of the graveyard, surrounded by dozens of humans and freshly risen undead.

A priest’s robe, tattered and darkened with dried blood. A twisted grin, illuminated by the faint glow of necrotic energy.

Khajiit Dale Badantel.

In his hands, he held a glowing staff, the dark magic swirling around it like a living entity.

Beside him, a mound of corpses piled high, reeking of death and rot. A grotesque altar of flesh, used to fuel his necromantic rituals.

He looked up at us, his eyes gleaming with madness.

"Ah... I was wondering when soone would co."

I stopped a few feet away, my grip on my sword tightening.

"You’ve been busy," I said.

Khajiit chuckled, raising his staff. "More than you know, outsider. And soon, my true creation will awaken. Then, even death itself shall bow before ! But before that, tell who you are."

"I’m an adventurer on an assignnt, looking for a missing young man... I trust you know who I’m talking about, even if I don’t state his na?"

The other mbers of the group took a stance.

I smiled bitterly at Khajiit , who was looking around the surroundings.

"Just the two of you? Where’s the rest of your party?"

"Yup, just the two of us. We flew over here with a flight spell."

"You’re lying; that’s impossible."

"You don’t have to believe it, but let’s get back to the main topic. If you let the boy return ho safely, I can spare your life. How about it, Khaji?"

Khajiit glared at the foolish disciple who had blurted out his na.

"-And you are?"

"Before that, there’s sothing I’d like to ask. Where is Clentine?

"Fufu~ You know ? Not bad~"

A sultry, teasing voice rang out from the chapel.

The sound of tal softly clinking against itself echoed as a young woman stepped into the light.

She moved with an easy confidence, every step carrying a predatory grace. Her tight, revealing battle attire did little to hide the powerful definition of her muscles, especially her well-toned abs, which glead under the dim moonlight.

Red eyes, sharp and filled with amusent, t mine.

I let my gaze travel, openly admiring the sight before .

Strong, fast, deadly, and beautiful.

I had been looking forward to this eting.

"You..."

Clentine gave a cheeky grin, tilting her head. "Ahhh~ They found out, so there’s no point hiding. Speaking of which, I only hid because I can’t use the 『Conceal Life』 spell."

Khajiit shot her a disapproving look, clearly irritated by her carefree attitude, but she ignored him entirely, focusing solely on .

"May I know your na?" she purred, flashing a smirk. "Ah, I’m Clentine. Pleased to etcha~"

I chuckled. "Alex. The pleasure’s mine."

Her grin widened. "Ooooh~ Interesting. You’re not scared of at all, huh? Most n get all tense when they et ."

"Should I be?" I asked playfully.

Clentine leaned forward slightly, the light accentuating the sharp lines of her toned stomach. "Well, I am very good at killing, you know?"

I tilted my head. "That’s what makes you interesting."

Her eyes glead with amusent, as if she had just found sothing—or soone—far more entertaining than she had expected.

Khajiit, however, was less amused.

"Enough gas," he growled, tightening his grip on his staff. "If you’re here to fight, then fight. Otherwise, leave."

I exhaled, my fingers idly tracing the hilt of my sword.

"That depends," I said lazily. "Are you going to hand over Nfirea?"

Clentine’s smirk deepened. "Oh~? So you are here for the brat? Now that’s a bit boring... but, maybe I’ll let you have him if you impress ."

I smiled.
