After being away for so long, she picked this mont to return. Could it be that she heard Henry Chapman was coming?
Alma and Sophie exchanged a glance, both looking displeased.

Catching sight of the figure, Mrs. Chapman was montarily amazed and asked a question from the side.
"Yes. She’s usually not at ho..." Pausing, Alma collected her emotions and maintained a graceful smile, "Pardon her, she’s got a bit of a temper... I hope you can forgive her."
Mrs. Chapman smiled without saying a word.
She’d heard so rumors—the Scott family’s newly returned young lady, known for her fiery temper, assertive personality, arrogance, and disrespect for elders...

Nora Scott entered the house.
Instead of going upstairs, she looked around and naturally entered the living room.

"Really?"
With her son’s confirmation, Mrs. Chapman’s surprise was evident.
Henry furrowed his brow slightly, nodding, "Yes."

Mrs. Chapman took a deep breath.
Alma and Sophie sat stiffly, feelings of discomfort and resentnt surging overwhelmingly at Nora, their tightly clasped hands quivering uncontrollably.
Their carefully prepared eting, filled with unimaginable excitent and anticipation, was now completely undone by Nora’s appearance!
All the previous praise and affirmation Mrs. Chapman gave to Sophie now paled compared to one look from Nora.
Her eyes were full of joy, excitent, and astonishnt.
"You all chat."
Nora used ’all’ in her words but didn’t even glance at Alma or Sophie.
Giving Henry a look, Nora turned first and walked upstairs.
Without another word, Henry followed closely behind her.

Nora pushed open the door, allowing Henry to enter first.
"Your bedroom?"
Sweeping his gaze around, Henry slightly frowned, looking a bit disdainful.
A regular guest room, not very spacious, with few pieces of furniture, didn’t seem like a place the "actual daughter" would live.
Nora casually replied, "Temporary, my room is still under renovation."
Though, who knows how long the renovation will take.—After all, the design plans haven’t been finalized.
"Oh."
Henry relaxed slightly.
