Now reading: Chapter 39: The Broken Mental Patient and the Bloody Game! from Pain Immunity: Worried the Villains Aren’t Twisted Enough, a Game novel by 陷阵营营长.

When Wang Ao said this, his head was slightly lowered, glancing at Lu Ce from the corner of his eyes, with a hint of smugness in his gaze.

After all, based on his experience, no one who ca to him had ever failed to ask this question.

No matter how crazy or ntally unstable the person was, he didn’t believe they’d be indifferent to this.

“I can tell you. I can answer you truthfully—as long as you agree to play a ga with ....”

At this mont, the staff from Jiutian who had been monitoring all the Ga Players’ Livestreams were all stunned, and everyone focused on Lu Ce.

They never expected that a ga which had been making little progress would suddenly take such an unexpected turn.

【: Wait... it’s that easy? He just said it like that?】

【: Why do I feel like this patient doesn’t even seem that sick? Honestly the most normal one.】

【: Everything's relative. Compared to this Masked Boss, everyone else seems pretty normal.】

【: Still, why would a Ga NPC just casually reveal such a crucial piece of info? Or... has he seen players like this before?】

【: That last comnt is low-key terrifying.】

Everyone was getting excited listening to Wang Ao.

Except one person...

“Shouldn’t you be asking a doctor who the most severely ill patient is? What does that have to do with ?”

Lu Ce dug in his ear and said this with a strange look.

“You... you don’t want to ask about it?” Wang Ao was totally thrown off. He was now almost certain that this guy was nothing like the others he’d encountered.

So, he tested the waters:

“Bro... are you new here? Are you also gonna be staying in this place?”

“If so, I think every room is supposed to be private. Why did you co looking for ......”

There was clear unease in Wang Ao’s tone, even a bit of grievance.

He’d suffered so much torture in here—who would’ve thought soone would co just to ss with him more!

“If you *really* want to ask you sothing, I an... I guess I could....”

Lu Ce stroked his chin, looking thoughtful.

“What?” Wang Ao’s eyes flared red again, bloodlust bubbling up once more.

Just hearing Lu Ce’s tone, the Livestream audience all breathed a collective sigh of relief.

They thought Lu Ce had gone completely off the rails and would throw away this obvious chance to clear the ga.

But then, on Lu Ce’s Gluttony Mask, a thinking expression ford. (ˉ﹃ˉ)

He leaned in mysteriously toward Wang Ao and asked:

“Actually... have you ever realized sothing?”

“What?”

“‘Five characters’ is actually three characters.....”

“Five... what?”

Wang Ao, who had been waiting forever, suddenly felt his brain go numb. He didn’t react for a second.

“Why would ‘five characters’ be three characters? Wait...”

He counted a little on his fingers, looked up at Lu Ce with a pained expression, and nodded helplessly.

“Now that you say it, ‘five characters’ *is* three characters. So?”

“So then, ‘six characters’ is also three characters, right?”

Wang Ao: ......

“Which ans, six equals five!”

His face went totally numb. After living here for so long, this was the first ti he so badly wanted to leave. He didn’t want to stay in this damned place anymore!

Lu Ce clearly didn’t care about his response and just kept muttering to himself.

“Following that logic... seven also equals five, eight equals five....”

“1 = 2 = 3 = 4..... = 0!”

“I’ve discovered the Grand Unification Formula of the math world!”

“So eating ten bowls of rice is the sa as eating three bowls, which is the sa as zero bowls, which ans I haven’t eaten at all, right?”

“I’m kinda hungry.....”

At that mont, Wang Ao suddenly lunged forward and grabbed Lu Ce’s hand with deep sincerity, saying seriously:

“Bro, I think you’re *way* more ssed up than I am. Like, way worse.”

“I don’t know why the ds weren’t delivered today in this creepy hospital. Totally irresponsible.”

“Tonight, you take my ds. I seriously think your case is worse than mine.”

【: Once we had Kong Rong offering pears, now we have Wang Ao offering ds!】

【: Wang Ao’s been ntally wrecked. Seriously, who the hell thinks of this sh*t?】

【: I’m convinced our Masked Bro is here just to play. His main goal is pure trolling!】

【: Poor Wang Ao! He’s been played to death.】

After feeling bad for Kirk and Long Wu, now the fandom is sympathizing with Wang Ao!

Lu Ce might be the world’s top heart surgeon—he’s got everyone feeling *heartbroken*!

“Wait—no!” Wang Ao suddenly let go of Lu Ce’s hand, eyes flashing with alternating waves of violence, confusion, and chaos.

Wait... I think I’m a ntal patient.

What am I even doing?

Why do I care what’s wrong with this guy? Why do I care what problems he has?!

I’m gonna... I’m gonna... hehehehe....

As these thoughts filled his head, that deranged look slowly crept back onto Wang Ao’s face.

He grinned blankly like an idiot, drool dripping from the corner of his mouth.

“Sir, I know the answer to your question. I know *all* the answers.”

“But if you want to hear it, I have one condition. You have to play a ga with first.”

This ti, Wang Ao’s chaos finally took over, and he stopped falling into Lu Ce’s rhythm.

“What ga?” This was also the first ti Lu Ce genuinely responded to his question.

Red light flickered in Wang Ao’s eyes—he looked thrilled, like he was finally back in his domain.

He pulled a tal shard out from beneath him.

It was rusted all over, except the edge, which was razor-sharp and glead in the light—clearly sharpened frequently, now shaped like a knife!

The tal’s dull shine reflected Wang Ao’s excited expression. *This* was the true face of his illness!

He looked at Lu Ce and said,

“Watch closely.”

Then he pressed one hand flat against the ground, raised the knife in the other, and started slashing it like mad!

The blade danced between the gaps of his five fingers, striking fast and vicious—so fast it even left afterimages.

A true display of knife-edge dancing!

But his technique wasn’t great. Between the flashing images, slicing flesh and spurts of blood burst out again and again, making Wang Ao let out painful but delighted groans.

His eyes burned with increasing excitent.

Finally, he stopped. Blood soaked the floor beneath his palm, deep red liquid snaking in rivulets.

He handed the blood-sared shard over.

“Your turn. One hundred tis.” He grinned wide, looking like the Joker in a DC movie.

Lu Ce slowly raised his head, the mask on his face revealing a huge smile(*^____^*), and he took the bloody shard.

“Like I said, Mr. Chen, I love you. This ti, I’m serious.....”
