Charlie River’s duty was to ensure Thomas Shannon’s safety, so he would never readily let him take such risks alone. He tried to persuade Thomas Shannon, but Thomas Shannon’s mind was made up. "Charlie River, shut up."
A low, inherently authoritative voice rang out, and Charlie River didn’t dare utter another word. He understood that once his Young Master made a decision, it wouldn’t be easily changed. Just as now, Thomas Shannon planned to go in and save the maniac alone, and he wouldn’t allow them to follow.
Thomas Shannon’s eyes were cold, carrying a hint of furious, murderous intent. George Field had chosen this location for the eting, clearly relying on the presence of the Embassy of Country J. His calculations were wrong.
Thomas Shannon dragged William Field towards the underground warehouse. From behind, Charlie River’s worried voice called out, "Young Master, please be careful!" Thomas Shannon simply raised a hand and waved.
George Field’s n were already at the entrance, guarding it with loaded guns. Seeing Thomas Shannon, they raised their weapons and aid at him. "Raise your hands!"
Thomas Shannon smirked coldly. "Even George Field wouldn’t dare speak to like that. Who do you think you are?" He kicked the back of William Field’s knees, and with a THUD, William Field pitched forward, collapsing to the ground. His pained howls, muffled by the black cloth bag over his head, still escaped.
Hearing the familiar voice, the n grew more agitated and cautiously advanced. "Young Master, are you alright?"
Thomas Shannon tightened his grip on the traction rope in his hand, cinching it around William Field’s neck, causing his head to jerk back abruptly. "William Field, tell these dogs of yours if you’re alright."
William Field clenched his teeth, his mouth full of blood. He spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, his voice a hoarse, pain-filled growl. "Do as he says!"
"Young Master!" The attendants’ hearts leaped into their throats. From the sound of his voice, his injuries must be severe.
Another attendant erged from the warehouse, cursing as he urged, "Mister wants you to bring Thomas Shannon in imdiately!" The attendants pointed their guns at Thomas Shannon. "Get in, now!"
Dragging William Field, Thomas Shannon entered the warehouse without a sideways glance. The warehouse was vast, and the two won suspended in mid-air were especially conspicuous.
Alia Shaw was a tear-stained wreck, looking wretched and pitiful. The mont she saw Thomas Shannon, she began to struggle violently, choking out, "...Thomas, save !"
Sophie Sullivan’s gaze anxiously swept past him, searching the area behind. When she saw no one else there, only George Field’s attendants, the hope in her eyes died. Is Thomas Shannon an idiot? George Field told him to co alone, and he actually ca alone to his death? She had been counting on him to rescue her. Great. Now they were probably all going to die here together.
George Field, seated in a chair with a cigar clamped in his mouth, narrowed his eyes. "Thomas Shannon, you’ve certainly got guts." His gaze shifted to the person beside Thomas Shannon, the one with a traction rope noosed around his neck. He roared furiously, "Let Robert Stone go!"
Damn it! How dare that bastard Thomas Shannon treat his Robert Stone like this! He would make Shannon pay dearly for this!
"Father, save ..." William Field’s voice, faint and on the verge of collapse, drifted from within the cloth bag. George Field couldn’t see his son’s face, much less the desperate expression on it; he could only see the dark bloodstains on his clothes.
