Then, in a gentle voice, he said, "Fluffy, you should go ho first."
It was already late. If she didn’t return ho, her family would start to worry. After all, she was a girl; she couldn’t compare to him.
Fluffy Zane only felt a chill perate her entire body. Go ho? He wanted her to go ho first?
Hearing this, she suddenly started to laugh. As she laughed, her vision blurred.
William Guillen’s eyebrows furrowed slightly as he watched tears slowly well up in her eyes, reflecting the light and shimring.
He raised his hand, placed it on her head, and whispered, "Have I been too good to you lately, giving you the wrong idea, hm?"
His words were light, his tone incredibly gentle. If not for the coldness hidden beneath the surface, one might easily mistake his words for the intimate whispers of a lover.
But if one listened closely, they could feel the heartlessness and cruelty in his words. Every word stung.
Fluffy Zane said nothing. She just gazed deeply at him, her eyes brimming with tears.
The corner of William Guillen’s mouth lifted slightly. He withdrew his hand from her head. "Go ho."
With those words, he turned and walked away.
Fluffy Zane watched his retreating figure in a daze. His back looked so cold, so chilling. She bit her lip, trembling uncontrollably.
Even though it was a hot sumr and the stifling heat of daylight lingered, she felt as if she had plunged into an ice cellar. A chill started from the soles of her feet, spreading rapidly through her limbs and entire body.
"William Guillen... William Guillen!" she called out softly, tears streaming down her face.
William Guillen, how wonderful it would be if you loved . Even if... just for one day.
「Early morning.」
Sophie Sullivan felt a suffocating pressure on her chest.
The suffocating feeling jolted her awake. When she opened her eyes, she found Thomas Shannon’s arm resting heavily on her chest.
She irritably pushed his arm away. As soon as she did, the man’s narrow eyes slowly opened.
His dark eyes, still hazy with sleep, focused on her face after a few seconds.
"Hmm?"
Sophie Sullivan turned her back to him, muttering, "Your arm is so heavy..."
Thomas Shannon hugged her from behind. "Weren’t you always begging for it before? Now you call shaless. How hypocritical to bla for sothing you wanted."
"Before was before; now is now." Sophie Sullivan rolled her eyes. Could then really be compared to now?
Back then, her fate was in his hands. If he was unhappy, her life would be forfeit.
Now, while her fate wasn’t entirely in her own hands, at least he wouldn’t completely disregard her wishes.
Her goal to conquer Thomas Shannon’s heart remained unchanged.
She had already seen initial results. She just had to wait until his feelings for her deepened further; only then could she do more of what she truly wanted.
"So, your wings have grown stronger now, have they?"
"Thomas, I want to sleep!"
