William Guillen’s face suddenly changed. Jim Jones, it was Jim Jones again! Could she not utter any other na aside from his?!
Fluffy Zane sneered. He doesn’t need my reminder? Indeed, how could he not be aware of the misdeeds he had committed?
Fluffy Zane nodded emphatically, took a deep breath, and turned to leave. Her strides were wide, as if she were escaping. It clearly wasn’t her fault, yet she felt as guilty as if she had done sothing wrong and needed to flee this place quickly.
William Guillen watched her resolute departing figure, a naless fire burning in his heart. She’s really gone too far!
William Guillen watched her retreating figure in frustration and suddenly let out a low growl, "Fluffy Zane, you stop right there!"
Can’t hear him! She couldn’t hear anything! She kept telling herself not to stop, not to listen to him.
Yet, her legs seed to disobey her as she gradually ca to a stop. Without looking back, her whole body stiffened. A chill rose from her feet, and even her breathing felt constricted.
William Guillen felt he had a truly perverse streak. She clearly liked him, which put imnse pressure on him, causing him to avoid her as if she were a snake or a scorpion. But now that she had started going on blind dates, he himself had begun to act strangely. Forget it, why make things difficult for her? It was a good thing she didn’t like him. Much better than her continuously wasting her youth on him. He rubbed his forehead irritably, trying to calm himself, and let out a long, turbid breath.
William Guillen lowered his hand, preparing to turn and leave, but Fluffy Zane suddenly turned around, looking at him with a slightly dazed, unblinking gaze.
William Guillen curved his lips into a smile and waved. "Drive carefully."
A crack appeared in Fluffy Zane’s dazed gaze, her expression gradually transforming into shock. What was he saying? Telling her to drive carefully? He had stopped her with such an imposing air, just to say this one sentence? Fluffy Zane suddenly had no idea what he was ultimately trying to do.
Her expression slightly blank, she gazed innocently at him.
William Guillen stepped forward, stopping in front of her. His handso face, as he lowered his head, ca even closer to her.
Fluffy Zane unconsciously held her breath. William Guillen gazed at her calmly and composedly. "Fluffy, didn’t you hear what I just said?"
How could she not have heard? It was precisely because she heard it that she was so astonished, so shocked.
"Regarding Jim Jones, think whatever you want. I’ve always done as I please; you know that. If you’re unhappy about it, then I’ll try my best to avoid him from now on." After a pause, William Guillen added, "That fellow isn’t bad; he has backbone. He’s a decent choice. You should consider him carefully."
Jim Jones is a good guy, and he’s asking to consider him carefully? What did he an by that?
"You... what do you an?"
William Guillen chuckled softly, raising his hand and placing it on her head. He playfully ruffled her soft hair several tis, ssing it up before he stopped. "No matter what, I have to help Uncle Zane and Auntie vet you. Considering the relationship between our two families, it’s my duty as your elder brother to look out for you."
Elder Brother... Vetting... Fluffy Zane’s brain felt like it exploded, her mind going blank. Elder Brother? To hell with his ’Elder Brother’!
Fluffy Zane trembled slightly, clenching her fists and gritting her teeth. She said, word by word, "I don’t need an elder brother, and I certainly don’t need so irrelevant person to vet ."
William Guillen’s deep, profound eyes t her gaze. Then, he said slowly and gently, "Fluffy, go ho first."
