Harry stood in the center of the cloakroom, looking up at Sophie Sullivan.
He howled twice at her.
Sophie crossed her arms over her chest and watched Raina Bell with interest. "Seems like Thomas Shannon’s words didn’t work."
Raina Bell pursed the corner of her mouth, lowered her head, and pretended to iron the shirt as if nothing had happened. "There aren’t enough maids, so I ca to help."
"Help?"
Sophie found this flimsy excuse extrely ridiculous. "I’m not a very patient person. If you disappear from my sight imdiately, I can pretend nothing happened. Otherwise, this won’t just be about knowing. You’ve defied Thomas Shannon’s orders ti and again. You’d better think about how you’ll explain yourself to him."
Raina Bell learned from Minimus Hart that Thomas Shannon had gone to K Group today and wasn’t at the manor.
The maniac was also away, so she dared to co in.
Even if the maniac was here, she wasn’t afraid.
Hearing her threat, Raina Bell beca angry, and the thought of being defiled by those old, bearded n made her feel even more indignant.
Turning off the iron, Raina Bell raised her head, her gaze carrying a touch of fierceness. "Sophie, I think you’ve beco too arrogant."
Sophie had heard her na uttered from Minimus Hart’s lips and received more information from Fluffy Zane.
By now, Thomas Shannon probably already knew her na, so what was there to fear from Minimus Hart and Raina Bell?
Sophie didn’t respond, which Raina Bell took as a sign of her being flustered.
She laughed and approached Sophie. Harry howled and jumped up to bite Raina Bell’s skirt hem.
"Harry, get away!" Raina Bell, annoyed, looked down and growled at Harry.
Instead of letting go, Harry dragged her toward the exit.
"Harry, you..."
Seeing this, Sophie couldn’t help but chuckle softly. She called out gently, "Harry."
Harry turned his head and looked at her.
"Isn’t it dirty? Why are you biting any piece of trash you see?"
Harry stared at her for a good while before letting go of Raina Bell. He shook out his beautiful fur, held his little head high, and trotted proudly to Sophie’s side.
Raina Bell clenched her fists. "Sophie, who are you calling trash?"
"The answer is so obvious. Why humiliate yourself by asking?" Sophie bent down and picked up Harry.
The proud Harry even struggled for a bit before finally snuggling into her embrace.
Having said her piece, Sophie turned and walked away.
Raina Bell was furious. How dare she call her trash?
And who does she think she is? A disfigured, ugly woman who still has to rely on her skills in bed to bewitch Thomas Shannon. What right does she have to be so arrogant?
Suddenly, a hand grabbed Sophie’s shoulder. Sophie’s eyebrows furrowed, and she turned her head slightly. "Let go."
"Sophie, apologize to !"
"Who do you think you are, to deserve an apology from ?" Sophie sneered coldly. "You’d better focus on thinking up a good excuse to give Thomas Shannon."
She was truly tired today and had no mood to deal with Raina Bell. If Raina Bell kept pushing, then Raina Bell couldn’t bla Sophie for what ca next!
Raina Bell released her. She clenched her teeth, a gloomy light flashing in her eyes, and her voice dropped. "Sophie, you will regret this."
Sophie didn’t bother with her and left the cloakroom, cradling Harry.
She returned to the bedroom and lay down on the bed, her mind in chaos...
Fluffy Zane wouldn’t leak the information; she didn’t seem like that kind of person. Fluffy Zane hadn’t said anything, and Sophie herself hadn’t told anyone other than Fluffy Zane. So how did Thomas Shannon find out her na?
