Sophie Sullivan pursed her lips, a headache throbbing.
She needed to think carefully about how to explain the situation to Thomas Shannon later on the phone. Did she drop it in the water while soaking in the warm springs? Impossible. Before she ca here, Thomas Shannon had explicitly told her that the locator alarm developed by K Group was waterproof. So, this excuse wouldn’t work.
Lucifer let go of her. Noticing the anxious look on her face, he ruffled her hair. "What are you worried about?"
"Thomas Shannon will be angry..." Sophie Sullivan shot him a glance. It was all his fault, the troublemaker.
Lucifer blinked, his beautiful eyes, as clear and blue as the sea, looking at her innocently. "Cecilia Branford, you’re biased."
"How am I biased?"
Lucifer shrugged and spread his hands helplessly. "Ignorance is no cri. I destroyed it without knowing what it was." Does she only care about whether Thomas Shannon will be angry or not?
"What else?" Sophie Sullivan waited for him to continue.
Lucifer’s lips curled into a dangerously alluring smile. "Even if Thomas Shannon gets angry, it doesn’t matter. I will protect you."
He gently touched her cheek. "Rember this, Cecilia Branford?"

Less than ten minutes later, Charlie River’s mobile phone rang.
He answered, said a few brief words, and then hung up.
He turned and looked at the man in the back seat, who exuded a terrifying aura. "Young Master, the maniac has been found."
"Where?"
"The maniac is at a Hot Spring hotel, and she’s not alone..." Charlie River had received information that the maniac wasn’t alone at the hotel but had arrived with soone else.
He wasn’t sure how the Young Master would react to this news; he might beco furious.
"With whom?" Thomas Shannon’s voice was chilling to the extre.
His voice, like a blade dipped in ice, sent a bone-deep chill through anyone who heard it.
"Young Master, this person’s identity is a bit special..."
