After dinner, Sophie returned to her bedroom and found her mobile phone.
She called Thomas Shannon, but unexpectedly, his mobile phone was turned off.
Sophie breathed a sigh of relief. He was the one who’d turned it off, not her avoiding his call. She couldn’t be blad for this.
Lucifer was leaning his tall fra casually against the doorfra. "Cecilia, you seem to have breathed a sigh of relief."
Sophie shrugged. "I did."
"Why?"
"Thomas Shannon’s phone is off, so this can’t be blad on ."
Lucifer raised an eyebrow. "My Dear Cecilia is so beautiful, who could bear to bla you?"
Suddenly, Sophie’s expression turned serious. She took a few steps forward, stopping in front of Lucifer, her beautiful eyes slowly narrowing.
A smile played on Lucifer’s lips as he slowly lowered his head, his own charming eyes narrowing. "What’s wrong, Cecilia?"
"Tell , am I so confident about my looks because you’re always complinting ?"
He was always showering her with sweet talk and complints.
Sophie found it easy to believe she must have been very confident in her appearance before. So much so that even after losing her mory, that confidence remained deeply rooted in her subconscious.
Lucifer had thought she was about to say sothing else; he hadn’t expected it to be about her appearance. He chuckled lightly, cupping her face with both hands. Their foreheads touched, and he gently rubbed his nose against hers. "Dear Cecilia, you must believe my aesthetic standards are on par with international levels. My praise for your beauty contains absolutely no exaggeration."
Such a serious complint, yet it just made him seem even cuter!
Sophie pushed Lucifer away and cleared her throat. "Alright, I know I’m the most beautiful."
Lucifer laughed softly.
She turned and began searching on the bedside table. Not finding it, she lifted the thin quilt and pillow, her hands patting around on the bed.
"What are you looking for, Cecilia? Do you need help?"
Lucifer eagerly ca to her side. Seeing her anxious expression, he also began to feel around on the bed.
"I can’t find it... How can it not be here..."
"My dear, tell , what are you looking for?"
Sophie put down the pillow. "The locator alarm, have you seen it?"
She gestured with her hand in the air. "It’s about this big, a small, black thing. Have you seen it?"
"Hmm?" Lucifer stroked his chin. He had seen it. And destroyed it.
"Is that thing very important to you?"
"Thomas Shannon gave it to . It allows him to pinpoint my location. If I’m in danger, I can contact him instantly, and he’ll send people to rescue ."
Sophie suddenly narrowed her eyes and stepped closer to Lucifer. "Lucifer."
"Hmm?" Lucifer’s voice was a low, questioning hum, indescribably sexy and alluring.
"Was it you who took it?"
Lucifer laughed deeply, raising both hands in a gesture of surrender. "My dear, I thought Frank Mitchell had put it on you to monitor you. I destroyed it while you were asleep."
Sophie: "..."
He had truly gotten the better of her!
Lucifer put on an aggrieved expression. "Cecilia, are you angry?"
"Do I not look like I’m angry?"
Sophie gritted her teeth and glared at him fiercely.
It was over... Thomas Shannon would definitely think she’d intentionally cut off contact.
Lucifer opened his arms and pulled her into a tight embrace, his chin rubbing gently against her neck. "Dear, don’t be angry."
