The man in black spoke to Thomas Shannon, imdiately accelerating the car.
This road led to the airport, and there was a considerable amount of traffic.
They dared to make a move on this road; it wasn’t hard to guess the power and fearlessness of their backers.
Bullets from silenced guns whizzed out, hitting the car’s tires and causing the vehicle to quickly lose control.
"Master, it seems Thomas Shannon is in so trouble," the guard, noticing the scene ahead, said to Lucifer in the backseat.
"What’s going on?"
"It looks like those n ca prepared, seeking revenge."
Lucifer stroked his chin, tilting his head to look through the front windshield. Sure enough, Thomas Shannon’s fleet was under attack.
They were now engaged in a fierce battle with the attackers.
"Master, should we help?" the guard asked.
Help? Lucifer chuckled. Thomas Shannon didn’t seem like the type to willingly accept help from others.
He pondered for a mont before saying slowly, "Let’s just watch for now."
"Yes, Master."
「At the airport.」
Sophie Sullivan had already arrived.
She waited for a long ti, but there was still no sign of Thomas Shannon or Lucifer.
At this mont, Charlie River’s mobile phone rang. His facial color suddenly changed, and after whispering a few words, he hung up the phone.
With a grave expression, he said, "Maniac, wait for us here. We have sothing else to attend to." Then, without waiting for Sophie to answer, he quickly left with his n.
A bad feeling rose in Sophie’s heart. Had sothing happened to Thomas Shannon and the others?
"Leo, call Lucifer! Now!"
"Yes, Miss Cecilia Branford." Although Leo didn’t know what had happened, he could see she was very anxious, so he imdiately took out his mobile phone to call Lucifer.
"Master, Miss Cecilia Branford wants to speak with you."
Leo respectfully handed the mobile phone to Sophie. She took it, her brows furrowed as she asked, "Lucifer, are you all okay?"
"Cecilia, why do you ask? Of course, we’re fine."
"What about Old Mr. Standford? Have you rescued him yet?"
"He has already been rescued. We’re on our way to the airport now."
"That’s good..." Sophie sighed in relief and was about to hang up the phone when Lucifer’s next words made her heart sink.
"However, that fellow Thomas Shannon is in a bit of trouble."
"What did you say?"
How could Thomas Shannon be in trouble? He went with Lucifer to rescue Old Mr. Standford. Could it be... George Field’s n?
"He was attacked and can’t get away right now. We’re leaving without him," Lucifer said, his tone casual, tinged with his usual arrogance.
Sophie was trembling with fear. She raised her voice, "Lucifer!"
"Cecilia, what’s wrong?"
"Go back!"
Lucifer thought he had misheard. His handso eyebrows knitted together as he asked, "What are you talking about, Cecilia?"
"Go back and save Thomas Shannon. If you don’t bring him to , don’t even think about seeing again."
With that, Sophie imdiately hung up the phone.
Lucifer held the mobile phone, feeling utterly lost.
Was Cecilia actually threatening him? For Thomas Shannon, she was actually threatening him?
Lucifer’s heart felt as if an invisible hand was gripping it tightly, causing constricting pain to surge through him.
"Master, are you alright?" the guard asked worriedly, seeing Lucifer’s facial color change in the rearview mirror.
Lucifer took a deep breath, then another, composing himself. His eye color darkened as he ordered, "Turn around. Go back and save Thomas Shannon."
"Yes, Master."
George Field’s n began employing attrition tactics.
