One wave of attackers fell, only for the next to surge forward.
Soon, Thomas Shannon’s n were at a disadvantage.
Their bullet magazines were empty, and the cars were too damaged to start.
The attackers began to get out of their vehicles, surrounding Thomas Shannon’s fleet.
SCREECH—
The tires ground harshly against the pavent, emitting the sharp sound of sudden braking.
Lucifer, sitting in his car, waved his hand. "Go!"
"Yes, Master!"
His guards opened their car doors, disembarked, and imdiately launched an attack.
Gunshots erupted everywhere. The scene was bloody.
Thomas Shannon’s eyes narrowed. Lucifer?
George Field had sent a considerable number of n. Continuing to resist would do them more harm than good.
The wisest choice was to leave as soon as possible.
A guard ca to his car door, opened it, and said, "The Master is waiting for you in his car. Get in quickly."
Thomas Shannon sat without moving. He hadn’t sunk to the point of needing Lucifer to rescue him!
"It’s Miss Cecilia Branford’s command," the guard added.
Sophie Sullivan?
When Thomas Shannon heard the na, Sophie Sullivan’s face flashed through his mind.
While he hesitated, another of his n in black fell...
To avoid further casualties, Thomas Shannon had no choice.
He bent down to get out of his car. His n in black, along with Lucifer’s guards, escorted him to Lucifer’s vehicle.
Once inside, Lucifer sat with a cold expression, shooting a frosty glance at Thomas Shannon.
What’s so good about this man? Cecilia Branford had even threatened for him!
One of Thomas Shannon’s n in black spoke from outside the car window, "Young Master, you go first. Charlie River is on his way to support us. We’ll cover the rear!"
Thomas Shannon nodded somberly.
The fleet sped away from the battlefield, heading towards the airport.
「The airport.」
Sophie Sullivan was at the airport when Lucifer and Thomas Shannon finally arrived.
Lucifer looked displeased, while Thomas Shannon wore a gloomy expression.
As the two approached her, Sophie Sullivan quickly assessed them; they weren’t injured.
Only then did she feel relieved. "There’s no ti, let’s go."
"Cecilia," Lucifer called out to her.
Sophie Sullivan turned her head and looked at Lucifer. "What’s wrong?"
"Why did I have to rescue this guy?" Lucifer couldn’t understand. Was Thomas Shannon really that important to her? More important than ?
"I..." Sophie Sullivan choked on her words, her gaze falling on Thomas Shannon’s face.
Thomas Shannon’s face was gloomy, his cold eyes staring at her without a trace of warmth.
A chill ran through Sophie Sullivan’s heart, and anger flared within her. She’d had Lucifer rescue him; what was he still so dissatisfied about?
"It’s nothing. We weren’t busy anyway, so helping him out was no big deal."
Lucifer’s exquisitely handso features instantly relaxed, and he broke into a smile, then a laugh.
He stretched out his hand and wrapped his arm around Sophie Sullivan’s shoulder. "Cecilia, let’s go."
Sophie Sullivan nodded and went with him.
Thomas Shannon’s thin lips pressed into a tight line. Sophie Sullivan, you...! ’Not busy anyway?’ ’Helping out was no big deal?’ She’s really gotten out of hand!
Charlie River approached Thomas Shannon and whispered, "Young Master, it’s been taken care of."
"What about Frank Mitchell?"
Charlie River lowered his head. "Frank Mitchell has already escaped."
A vicious glint flashed in Thomas Shannon’s eyes. "Keep sending n after him."
After a pause, he said coldly, "When you catch him, don’t report to . Just castrate him."
"Understood, Young Master."
Not far away, Sophie Sullivan, walking with Lucifer, turned her head and glanced back at Thomas Shannon.
Thomas Shannon averted his gaze and said to Charlie River, "Bring George Stanford with us. Let’s go."
Charlie River paused, then suddenly looked up. "Young Master, you... you’re not going with the maniac?"
"No need."
