Each ti Thomas Shannon spoke, Harry would respond to his master with a tily OW.
Sophie Sullivan endured and endured until she could bear it no longer and finally exploded.
"Thomas Shannon, shut your mouth!"
She reached out to cover his mouth, but before her hand could touch his thin lips, Thomas Shannon blocked her with Harry.
Harry looked innocently at Sophie Sullivan.
Sophie Sullivan was speechless. Shaless!
She angrily withdrew her hand, took a few deep breaths, and cald herself down.
Seeing that Sophie Sullivan’s anger had subsided and she was now much calr, Thomas Shannon’s lips curved slightly, his deep voice magnetic and enticing as he said, "This is how you made angry before."
She made *him* angry? If he hadn’t inexplicably provoked her, would she have retaliated?
Sophie Sullivan remained silent, unwilling to engage with him, and Thomas Shannon also said nothing.
They continued the rest of the journey to the hospital in silence.
Leo was waiting at the hospital entrance. As soon as Sophie Sullivan stepped out of the car, he saw her and strode over. "Miss Cecilia Branford, His Highness is still in the Ergency Room... Please, co with quickly."
Sophie Sullivan’s expression was grave. She nodded and imdiately followed Leo.
Behind her, Thomas Shannon stood by the car door, holding Harry. His gaze was heavy as he watched her leave without a mont’s hesitation.
Charlie River, standing nearby, advised, "Young Master, Maniac and Lucifer are friends, after all. Just think of it as her visiting a friend in the hospital; don’t read too much into it. She has to co back with you eventually."
Thomas Shannon knew full well that Sophie Sullivan would eventually return with him.
And yet... seeing her so worried and concerned about another man left a bitter feeling in his heart.
Outside the Ergency Room, guards stood watch in the corridor.
Only then did Sophie Sullivan have a chance to ask Leo, "What exactly happened to Lucifer? Why would he collapse just from drinking?"
"Miss Cecilia Branford, His Highness is still ill. The doctor strictly warned him not to consu any alcohol..."
Ill? Sophie Sullivan was bewildered. Lucifer always seed so healthy. What illness could he possibly have?
"What illness does Lucifer have?"
Leo looked at her hesitantly, then finally just shook his head. "You should wait until His Highness wakes up and ask him yourself."
Since Leo was unwilling to speak, Sophie Sullivan couldn’t press him further.
It only made her more curious about Lucifer’s illness. What could it be that even Leo was so tight-lipped and refused to tell her?
Footsteps echoed in the corridor.
Leo turned his head and saw Thomas Shannon, surrounded by n in black, striding toward them.
"Miss Cecilia Branford, His Highness dislikes Thomas Shannon. Could you please ask him to leave?" Leo said. "I don’t want His Highness to see soone who will upset him when he wakes."
Sophie Sullivan nodded, indicating she understood.
Before Thomas Shannon could draw closer, she quickly walked towards him.
Thomas Shannon watched Sophie Sullivan actively walk towards him, a flicker of amusent in his cold eyes. Before he could speak, Sophie Sullivan cut in, "Thomas Shannon, please leave the hospital for now."
"Why?"
"Lucifer doesn’t want to see you. Therefore, I don’t want you to stay."
Thomas Shannon’s eyes instantly turned cold. Lucifer, Lucifer... Always Lucifer! Lucifer didn’t want to see him, so she was driving him away before Lucifer even woke up?
"Sophie Sullivan, do you have any idea what you’re saying?" His eyes were nacing, his handso face devoid of expression, exuding a terrifying aura.
Sophie Sullivan rubbed her aching forehead. "I know what I’m saying, Thomas Shannon. I’m serious."
"Do you understand the consequences of what you’ve just said?"
