"I didn’t."
Thomas Shannon’s thin lips pressed against hers. His breathing was heavy, his voice low and hoarse. "Didn’t you see I’m trying to please you?"
Pleasing her?
What kind of pleasing was he talking about?
Sophie Sullivan pushed him away, her delicate body nimbly rolling to the other side of the bed. "Don’t touch ."
Not touching her was impossible.
The handso man’s lips curved into a smile, his usually cold, hard eyebrows now tinged with a wicked, alluring charm. He reached out and grabbed her slender ankle.
"Fennie, you’re seducing ."
"To hell with you."
Sophie’s soft, tender feet pressed on his chest. "Who’s seducing you? Shaless!"
The man’s wicked gaze trailed from her face, slowly moving down, and finally resting on her lower body. "You’re exposed."
Only then did Sophie realize how dangerous her actions were. She stomped angrily on his chest. "Let go quickly!"
"Say you forgive ."
Sophie was furious. She grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. "Dream on!"
Thomas Shannon released her and caught the pillow with one hand. Sophie seized the opportunity to jump off the bed and escape.
Seeing her fleeing, Thomas Shannon unfastened his cufflinks. "I see you’re opting for non-violent resistance."
Sophie snorted provocatively. "Let’s see who’s stronger then."
"You said it. Don’t regret it." The man’s eyes flickered with a hidden aning.
They began a ga of chase in the bedroom. Soon, Sophie had to face reality.
She had overestimated herself!
She was no match for Thomas Shannon, the beast...
「In Country F.」
For a week, the dical team had been working tirelessly for Lucifer, taking care of him around the clock.
Lucifer’s body finally recovered.
"Your Highness, the weather is good today. Shall we go out for a walk?"
Lucifer’s expression was indifferent, his delicate, alluring features tinged with exhaustion.
Leo added, "The doctor said Gaby’s hind legs have recovered well, but his appetite isn’t so good. Your Highness, would you like to visit Gaby?"
Hearing Gaby’s poor appetite, Lucifer got out of bed. "Let’s go see Gaby."
Though Gaby was a trained tiger, he was still a large, fierce beast and only submitted to his master.
To prevent Gaby from hurting anyone, Lucifer had designated a courtyard for Gaby’s activities.
The veterinarian would examine his recovery progress daily and record every detail of his als.
When Lucifer arrived at the courtyard, Gaby was lying lazily in the sun on the lawn.
"Gaby," Lucifer called out. Gaby imdiately turned its head, and upon seeing Lucifer, it let out a howl.
Its massive body stirred as if to stand up and walk toward him.
Lucifer quickly approached, patting Gabby’s huge head and holding him down. "Don’t move, Gaby."
Gaby rubbed his head against Lucifer’s hand, nuzzling affectionately like a big cat.
Lucifer sat on the lawn, stroking Gabby’s head. He noted Gaby’s recovery was going well and said with a smile, "Gaby, once you’ve recovered, I’ll take you to see Cecilia Branford, okay?"
Gaby howled in response, knocking Lucifer to the ground and licking his face enthusiastically.
"Your Highness, are you alright?" Both Leo and the guards rushed over.
Lucifer waved his hand. He hugged Gaby with one arm, smiling as he dodged Gabby’s head. "I’m fine. Gaby is still as playful as ever."
