The Duchess sat by the bedside and reached out to hold her.
Cecilia Branford stared blankly at the person before her, a look of fear in her eyes. "...Who are you?"
Her voice was raspy, like sandpaper scraping against a wall.
The Duchess stiffened. Raising her head, she cupped Cecilia Branford’s face and looked from side to side. "Cecilia Branford, don’t you recognize ?"
"It hurts..." Cecilia Branford raised her hands, pushing the Duchess’s away and gently holding her own face.
She shrank back in fear, looking at her timidly.
"Did I hurt you? I’m sorry, Cecilia Branford, Auntie didn’t an to..."
Tears welled in the Duchess’s eyes and began to fall. Lowering her head, she wiped them away. "It’s all Auntie’s fault. Don’t be afraid, Cecilia Branford."
Lucifer stepped forward, placing one hand on the Duchess’s shoulder. "Mommy, Cecilia Branford won’t bla you."
His smiling eyes were fixed on the timid Cecilia Branford. "Cecilia Branford, isn’t that right?"
At first glance, it was indeed Cecilia Branford’s face. But upon closer inspection, he could still distinguish the differences. Even with plastic surgery, it’s impossible to completely replicate another person’s face.
"You... who are you?" Cecilia Branford looked at him timidly, then turned to the doctor beside them for help. "Who are they?"
"Miss Cecilia Branford, this is the Duchess and Young Master Lucifer. You’ve lost your mory and don’t rember them, which is understandable."

"What happened to Cecilia Branford’s face?" Lucifer’s voice was light.

Lucifer’s scarlet thin lips curved slightly. A rather well-crafted excuse. "What about her voice?"

"Mommy, please step out for a mont. I have a few words to say to Cecilia Branford." Lucifer, worried the Duchess might lose control of her emotions, wanted her to leave first.
"No, I want to stay and take care of Cecilia Branford."
The Duchess refused to leave. Lucifer frowned, his expression serious. "Mommy, Cecilia Branford has amnesia; she doesn’t recognize you. Your presence here will only make her nervous and scared. Look, she’s trembling with fear."
Cecilia Branford’s body trembled slightly, as if she were genuinely terrified.
"Cecilia Branford, Auntie will leave now. I’ll co to see you another day." The Duchess reluctantly left the bedroom, looking back every few steps.
Lucifer’s eye color darkened slightly. His entire being exuded a gentle yet sinister aura that was inexplicably oppressive.
"All of you, leave us. I want to speak with Cecilia Branford alone."
