Deep blue eyes, reflecting a faint spark. "Cecilia, you still can’t let go of Thomas Shannon, that due, can you?"
Sophie’s eyes didn’t waver. "Lucifer, it’s not that I can’t let go of him. I just want to go back to get so dicine."
After staring at her for a long ti, Lucifer finally laughed softly. "Cecilia isn’t good at lying. This is just an excuse, isn’t it?"
Sophie felt as if he could see right through her. She couldn’t hide her inner thoughts from his eyes.
She let out an almost inaudible sigh. "Alright, it’s Old Mr. Standford who asked to go back, saying that Thomas Shannon was seriously injured and unconscious. Lucifer, even though I hate Thomas Shannon, I can’t deny that he truly saved ."
Lucifer lowered his eyelids, unable to hide his disappointnt. Cecilia used to be not like this... Anyone who made mistakes before her wouldn’t be qualified for forgiveness. She really has no principles when it cos to Thomas Shannon, that due, and it indeed makes people jealous!
Lucifer was inwardly displeased. Sophie held his hand. "Lucifer, are you angry?"
"... "
"Are you angry because I’m going back to Country A?"
"... "
"I’ll be back soon, Lucifer."
"... "
Lucifer remained silent. This side of him made Sophie feel sowhat estranged and even more at a loss. After all, Lucifer had always been an angelic, understanding presence.
She had forgotten that Lucifer was also human and had a temper too.
"Lucifer." Sophie cradled his face, compelling him to look at her. As Lucifer raised his eyelids, his deep blue eyes, as pure as clear seawater, gazed directly into her heart.
Sophie smiled. "If Lucifer is angry, then I won’t go."
"Really?" Lucifer grasped her hand, removing it from his face, and squeezed it gently.
The handso man, his features as if painted, laughed, the corners of his eyes crinkling with mirth. "Cecilia isn’t lying to ?"
Sophie shrugged, her expression indifferent. "If it would make you upset, then I won’t go. Whether Thomas Shannon lives or dies has little to do with ."
Her words successfully pleased Lucifer.
He raised his hand and tousled her hair. "I’m happy that Cecilia can say this. Since you’re being such a well-behaved baby, you can go back to Country A."
"Lucifer, you..."
Sophie stared in amazent. Lucifer turned his head to the side, instructing Leo, "Leo, get ready."
"Yes, Your Highness!"
「Country A, City T.」
Charlie River rushed towards the study door. "Young Master, may I co in?"
"Enter."
Charlie River opened the door and quickly walked to the desk where the handso man was seated. He said anxiously, "Young Master, the maniac has already started her journey back."
The indifferent man’s eyes narrowed instantly. "Are you sure?"
"Yes, the maniac has already boarded the plane."
Thomas Shannon chuckled. He suddenly stood up, strode past the desk, and out of the room. "Prepare the car! Go to the airport! Return to Imperial City imdiately!"
Never underestimate George Stanford. He hadn’t held much hope for him in the first place, but unexpectedly, with just a few well-chosen words, George Stanford had managed to deceive Sophie into coming back. This ti, he’d be credited with a great achievent!
The man quickly walked down the stairs, scooping Harry—who was lying on the sofa with his belly exposed, snoring loudly—into his embrace.
Startled awake, Harry was about to whine discontentedly when he suddenly saw his master. He instantly cowered into a ball, nestling obediently in his arms.
