Clearing his throat, George Standford played along. "Isn’t that just it! He’s unconscious and still calling your na. I feel so sorry for him, just looking at him!"
Closing his eyes and speaking nonsense, George Standford patted his own chest after he finished speaking.
Young Master Shannon said he could say whatever he wanted. George had only exaggerated a bit and hadn’t caused him any real harm.

Sophie was extrely surprised and couldn’t believe it.
When she remained silent for a long ti, George Standford said again, "Fiona, you can’t be so heartless. Young Master Shannon likes you; so many people can see it. How can you be so unappreciative?"

"Fiona, please co back... Take a last look at him." George Standford sighed, and his voice weakened.
"Did he ask you to call ?"
Old Mr. Standford wouldn’t be acting so strangely unless soone had made him do it.
Sophie’s voice grew heavy. "Old Mr. Standford, did Thomas Shannon threaten you?"
"Fiona, no one threatened . I just felt sorry for him... That’s why I made this call. If you don’t believe , then forget it. If you regret it later, don’t bla for not telling you."
George Standford hung up the phone and patted his chest with one hand.
Would Young Master Shannon think I was cursing him to die with those words?
He had racked his brains to deceive Fiona into coming back.

Sophie went downstairs to the Restaurant with Gaby and saw Lucifer sitting at the head of the table. She said indifferently, "Good morning, Lucifer."
