"Charlie River, what do you an by this?"
Minimus Hart glanced at the cold instrunts. Her blood ran cold, and a chill shot up from her feet.
If these torture tools were used on her, she would undoubtedly be begging for life, unable to find even the release of death!
She was all too familiar with these tools. In the past, she had used them to punish those who made mistakes. She never imagined that one day, Charlie River would use them against her.
Even if she hadn’t made great contributions, she had certainly worked hard. Couldn’t Young Master see her devotion to him? Because of a woman, he had reduced her to this state. He had truly disappointed her to the core.
"Stop wasting words. If you don’t choose, then I’ll choose for you."
Charlie River bent down and picked up a horse whip, thick with barbs, from the ground. One lash from this whip, and skin would surely split open, flesh exposed. The barbs would hook deeply into the flesh, tearing chunks of it away. Those who had endured flogging were often left with crushed and mangled flesh, without a single patch of intact skin.
Minimus Hart had been dragged by Sophie Sullivan using Gabriel. From her collarbone down to her ankles, not a single piece of her skin was undamaged. Now, only her back remained.
Charlie River gripped the whip, his expression unchanging as he casually weighed it in his hand. Minimus Hart stumbled backward, shaking her head in terror, until her back hit the ice-cold wall. She had nowhere left to retreat.
"I want to see Young Master... Let see Young Master! I am innocent! I’ve been wronged..."
Overwheld by imnse terror, Minimus Hart began to scream uncontrollably, "It was Sophie Sullivan! That lowly person Sophie Sullivan frad ! She’s vicious and cruel; she’s looked down on for ages and wanted to get rid of ... I want to see Young Master..."
Initially, Sophie Sullivan had wanted to hand Minimus Hart over to Charlie River for him to deal with. In the end, however, Sophie couldn’t overco her own reservations. She was determined to witness Minimus Hart’s complete downfall with her own eyes, so she dragged Thomas Shannon to the dark cell.
Just as they approached, they heard Minimus Hart’s declaration.
Sophie Sullivan sneered, secretly tightening her grip on Thomas Shannon’s hand, thoroughly infuriated by Minimus Hart!
The corner of Thomas Shannon’s mouth curled slightly. His voice was low and hoarse, carrying a hint of sexy allure as he asked, "What’s wrong?"
He was clearly asking despite already knowing the answer.
Sophie Sullivan took a slow, deep breath, her mood utterly foul. Minimus Hart had truly redefined her understanding of a ’lowly person’! Her ability to twist truth into falsehood was simply unparalleled.
A sudden urge rose within her: she wanted to know if, in Thomas Shannon’s heart, he also thought her vicious and cruel. Did he also believe Minimus Hart had been frad by her?
"Thomas Shannon, do you believe what she said?"
The light in the dark cell corridor was dim. His handso face was half-hidden in the interplay of light and shadow, only partially visible. His deep eyes seed to rge with the shadows, unfathomable, revealing no hint of his emotions.
"What did she say?" Thomas Shannon countered, taking her hand and squeezing it lightly twice, as if toying with it. His deanor was as nonchalant as if he were teasing a pet.
Sophie Sullivan huffed, trying to pull her hand free. The next second, he gripped it firmly. A low chuckle escaped his throat. "You, vicious and cruel?"
"You think so too?" Sophie glared at him, a rebellious glint in her shimring eyes.
"Did you fra her?" Thomas Shannon asked again, his tone still unhurried. His casual indifference was driving Sophie to distraction!
"Thomas Shannon, do you also think I frad her? What kind of person Minimus Hart is, don’t you know already? Even if I, Sophie Sullivan, dislike soone intensely, I wouldn’t deliberately target or plot against them!"
