Not long after Sophie ca to the manor, for safety reasons, he had soone inject her with contraceptive dicine.
All along, the issue of children hadn’t crossed his mind.
First, he hadn’t thought about it in that way, and second, he didn’t want pre-marital childbirth.
They could have a child, sure.
But they must be married.
Thinking about it now, having a child that belongs to him and her would be nice too.
If they had a child, the chances of her staying would greatly increase.
Could a child be less important than that damn fiancé of hers?
The doctor considered for a mont before saying, "Young Master, the maniac is still in her nstrual period. We can only inject after her period is over."
Thomas Shannon nodded to show he understood and waved his hand, feeling quite pleased, "Then wait until her period is over before injecting."
The doctor exited the study room.
An itchy feeling spread across her face, Sophie woke, seeing Gabby.
Gabby was rubbing its head against her face, and when it saw her awake, Gabby let out a low howl, lifting and then lowering its paw.
Sophie raised her hand to pet Gabby’s head and soothe it, "I’m fine, Gabby."
"Fennie, you’re awake?"
The bedroom door opened, and Thomas Shannon stepped in, quickly moving to the bedside, pushing Gabby aside as he gently touched her cheek, "How do you feel? Does it still hurt?"
Seeing him reminded Sophie of all the infuriating things he had done.
She gave him a cold glance before retracting her gaze, closing her eyes, not wanting to see him.
"The doctor said you’re experiencing nstrual pain. I had a servant prepare ginger brown sugar water for you. Would you drink a little?"
Gabby swatted with its paw, leaving several slashes on Thomas Shannon’s shirt with its sharp claws.
He furrowed his brows and scolded, "Gabby! If you keep acting up, I’ll lock you up!"
At his voice, Sophie opened her eyes, her beautiful eyes glaring at him angrily, "You dare!"
Thomas Shannon’s eye color slightly flickered, his thin lips pressed tightly. How could he forget that Sophie pampered Gabby to such an extent?
She even let it sleep by the bed, preventing him from getting intimate with her lately.
Thomas Shannon adjusted his tone to a cold hardness, "Fennie, I can accept you bringing Gabby around, but I cannot accept it disrupting our life."
For example, our sex life!
Since Gabby arrived, how long has it been since he last held her properly?
How long has it been since he last kissed her properly?
With these thoughts, Thomas Shannon’s dissatisfaction rose again inside him.
Sophie stared at him expressionlessly, "No need to trouble you, I’ll leave with Gabby."
As she spoke, she tried to lift the silk quilt and sit up, but Thomas Shannon quickly supported her to lay back down, "Don’t be silly, the doctor said you need to rest for nstrual pain. You just took the dicine, and now you’re restless?"
"I don’t need you to care."
Sophie’s words were both in anger and truth.
She couldn’t help but reconsider whether there was still a need to continue her relationship with Thomas Shannon.
Lucifer’s words still echoed in her ears.
She should carefully consider everything clearly.
Thomas Shannon knew she was angry inside, he bent down and gave her cheek a light peck, "I’ll go down and get you the ginger brown sugar water, wait for ."
This attentive deanor was in stark contrast to his feigned ignorance about not knowing where the neurologist was.
Sophie let out a cold humph, withdrew her gaze, and no longer looked at him.
Thomas Shannon went downstairs, fetched the still steaming ginger brown sugar water, and upon returning to the bedroom, heard Sophie’s voice coming from inside the door.
