"Open the door, let go in and have a look."
The man in black looked troubled and advised her, "Maniac, she might harm you."
Sophie Sullivan looked down at Gaby beside her, "Don’t worry, with Gaby here, she can’t harm ."
The man in black was concerned for Sophie Sullivan’s safety, so he tried to dissuade her. But since she insisted, they couldn’t stop her anymore.
Even if Linda dared to harm her, they were outside the door, ready to rush in to save her instantly.
The man in black opened the door, and Sophie Sullivan entered the bedroom with Gaby.
Linda sat on the sofa, her facial color cold and aloof, her short hair neatly styled, playful yet competent.
Hearing the noise, she turned her head to look, her gaze slightly narrowing the mont she saw Sophie Sullivan.
"Are you Linda?"
Linda didn’t speak, pressing the corner of her mouth shut, silent.
Sophie Sullivan walked up to her, with Gaby closely following behind. Linda glanced at Gaby, and their fierce tiger-like eyes locked for just one second before Linda’s gaze quickly shifted away.
"Let guess who sent you here."
Sophie Sullivan rubbed her chin with one hand, tilting her head slightly, her long hair flowing down her shoulders like a waterfall.
Linda snorted coldly, almost inaudibly.
"In the Imperial City, those who dare to assassinate Thomas Shannon are few and far between. Especially since they sent you, I’m sure they are well aware of his friends." Sophie Sullivan analyzed piece by piece, observing Linda’s expression to find that it remained unchanged, sitting still as if in ditation.
It seed she hadn’t heard what was being said.
Or perhaps she was completely ignoring her.
Sophie Sullivan found it intriguing, very interesting indeed.
"The person who sent you is Lillian Spencer, right?"
Linda’s expression showed no fluctuations, her breathing frequency unchanged.
"There’s no one else here, no need to keep your lips sealed. Even if you don’t say, I know."
Sophie Sullivan crossed her arms over her chest, her voice low and gradual, "Didn’t Lillian Spencer tell you that I was also sent by her?"
Linda’s eyelids trembled slightly, intending to lift them to look at her, but in the next second, suppressed it.
Lillian Spencer didn’t tell her any ssage, just assigned her the mission.
She was to assassinate Thomas Shannon on his way to K Group.
The reason, she didn’t know.
Her task was only to execute the mission, with no right to ask why.
With the mission failed, she was supposed to atone with her death, but she was unwilling.
She still had revenge unfulfilled; she couldn’t die so easily.
Thus, she waited, waiting for the chance to escape.
Sophie Sullivan’s lips curled slightly, her voice lowered, "Linda, I don’t want you to follow in my footsteps. I failed to assassinate Thomas Shannon and am now held captive by him. I can’t go back to Lillian Spencer, so I will try to help you leave."
Help her leave...
What an enticing offer.
Linda looked up, her eyes narrowing slightly, carrying a hint of uncertainty, "Are you serious?"
"I don’t want to be a captive for a lifeti. I have conditions for helping you, once you’re out, help prove my loyalty to Lillian Spencer, tell her not to kill ."
With the mission failed, death as atonent was expected.
She didn’t want to die, and it was understandable.
Linda pondered for a mont and nodded, "Alright."
Sophie Sullivan suddenly chuckled; what a delightful fellow.
"What are you laughing about?"
"Didn’t you notice I called her Lillian Spencer, not Miss Lillian?"
Linda’s facial color suddenly darkened; she was deceived!
