Seeing Linda’s expression, it was clear she must be feeling regret.
Sophie Sullivan chuckled softly, stroking Gaby’s head, "Aren’t you curious why a person who’s been imprisoned like has a pet?"
Linda: "..."
In her heart, she had her own plans, wanting the person in front of her to believe that she accidentally revealed the mastermind behind it.
It was better than Lillian Spencer knowing that she confessed voluntarily, she didn’t want to die.
If soone confronted Lillian Spencer, Lillian wouldn’t let it go; she would interrogate her, who was caught on the spot.
Then, she could plead with Lillian Spencer to save her life.
Her life was given by Lillian Spencer, both emotionally and logically, she shouldn’t be plotting against her like this.
However...
Linda closed her eyes, she didn’t want to die, really didn’t want to die...
When she got her revenge, she was ready to accept any fate, without even frowning.
Even if she had to commit suicide as atonent, that would be fine!
Sophie saw Linda’s indifferent look, not wanting to engage with her, and left the backyard with Gaby disheartened.
Returning to the castle, Sophie Sullivan found Thomas Shannon inside the study room, and as she entered, the conversation between him and Charlie River ca to an abrupt halt.
"Did I disturb you?" Although there was so apology in her words, Sophie walked directly towards Thomas Shannon.
Charlie River nodded in acknowledgnt and then exited the study room.
"Why are you here? Weren’t you going to the dical office?"
Thomas Shannon gestured, wanting Sophie to co to his side, but she pretended not to see and sat down on the sofa.
Her slender and well-proportioned legs crossed elegantly, her deanor confident and bold, with her eyes gleaming like scattered stars, "I know who sent Linda to assassinate you."
Thomas Shannon raised an eyebrow, what a coincidence, he had just found out too.
However, seeing her in such a good mood, Thomas decided to play along, "Who was it?"
Sophie huffed proudly, her red lips forming three words, "Lillian Spencer."
"How do you know it was Lillian Spencer who sent her?" Thomas Shannon stood up, walked around the desk, and sat down beside her.
He naturally wrapped an arm around her slender waist, pulling her closer, "How did Fennie find out, hmm?"
Sophie gave him a cold look, "Take your hand off."
Thomas gave her a light peck on her soft cheek, and then released her as she wished.
"I tricked the words out of Linda."
Tricked?
Thomas’s handso face darkened, just like the last ti she tricked him, did she manage to coax the truth out of Linda’s mouth?
Sophie pondered, rubbing her chin, wondering what on earth Lillian Spencer was up to. First, she tried various ways to get close to her, and when that failed, she sent Linda to assassinate him.
What was her ultimate goal with these moves?
"Fennie, you’re really smart, you’re right, Linda was indeed sent by Lillian Spencer." Thomas Shannon said seriously, his handso face instantly turned cold and stern.
His cold eyes, deep and sharp, radiated a piercing edge.
Sitting beside him, Sophie could clearly feel the intense anger emanating from him, causing people to avoid him.
Sophie found it incredibly interesting that the daughter of Your Excellency the President of Country A sent soone to assassinate him.
What kind of deep-seated hatred existed between them to make Lillian Spencer go to such lengths to deal with him?
"Thomas Shannon, what are you planning to do?" If she rembered correctly, at the last wedding anniversary of Mr. President and Madam, he actually called them Uncle and Auntie.
Being able to address them like that, their relationship must be quite complicated.
Then what was Lillian Spencer trying to achieve by targeting him?
