"Have you had dinner?" Not wanting An Jing to dwell in sadness, Su Changyi changed the topic.
"I ate around six in the evening. What about you?"
"I also ate. Are you hungry now? Should I get you sothing to eat?" It was almost eleven at night.
An Jing smiled and shook her head, "I’m not hungry. If you’re hungry, you can get yourself sothing to eat."
"I’m not hungry either." Su Changyi looked around the hospital room, the standard room was quite rudintary. "Just make do for tonight, tomorrow I’ll get you into a VIP room."
"I’m fine in this room, the nurses take good care of , no need to change."
"My condition has been reported on before; if they recognize , this room will be bustling."
An Jing laughed. "Now you’re the CEO of Su’s." She nodded, "Let’s change rooms, I don’t want to be exposed. Nowadays, any news about a celebrity spreads all over the internet quickly."
"I actually hope you’re exposed, that way everyone knows you’re mine, and no one will try to steal you from ."
An Jing giggled. "Even if soone tried, they can’t take away."
Su Changyi couldn’t hide the smile that spread across his face.
The two embraced again, and then An Jing looked up and said, "It’s late, you should go ho and co back tomorrow."
"Are you willing to let go?"
An Jing was montarily surprised, then laughed, "Even if I’m reluctant, I have to. There’s no place for you to sleep here."
Su Changyi said, "I can just sit beside you all night." After a pause, "I want to be by your side."
Having just reunited, An Jing was reluctant to part from Su Changyi. Hearing that he wanted to stay by her side, she sweetly agreed, "Then stay with , at worst I’ll make room for you on my bed. Although it’s a bit small, we can still squeeze in if we cuddle."
Su Changyi disagreed, "You’re injured, I’ll just sit beside you."
An Jing said, "It doesn’t hurt anymore." After a pause, she spoke in a muffled voice, "We used to sleep together all the ti, and these past few days, I’ve slept here alone, never resting well."
"It really doesn’t hurt?" He did want to hold her while sleeping, but he was still a bit worried.
An Jing laughed, "Even if it hurts, as long as you hold , it’ll be fine."
Su Changyi’s lips curled into a smile, and he nodded, "Then I’ll hold you while we sleep."
Then, Su Changyi gently released An Jing, stood up, and instead of sitting on the edge of the bed, he walked to the bathroom.
He filled a bowl with water, carrying a towel as he ca back out.
Seeing this, An Jing said, "Since I’ve been in the hospital, no one has looked after except Nurse Chen, who bought this towel and basin. I’m really grateful for her care these days."
Su Changyi was distressed by the hardships she’d endured upon arriving, "We’ll thank her later." As he spoke, he placed the basin beside the bed, "From now on, I will be here for you."
"Mm-hmm." An Jing nodded happily. They’ve been together for nearly forty years, and their love was still as strong as ever. "By the way, honey, the dical fees haven’t been paid yet."
"I’ll have soone pay it tomorrow. You don’t need to worry about these things, just focus on recovering. I’ll handle everything."
"Mm-hmm."
"Have you washed your body?"
"I cleaned up after dinner, now I just need to wash my face."
"Alright." Su Changyi then helped An Jing wash her face.
