"Li Han sure gets things done quickly."

Chen Yang said with a smile, then accepted a friend request from this Jin Shixuan teacher.

Not long after accepting, the other party proactively sent a text ssage.

"Hello, Mr. Chen, I’m a friend of Li Han’s. Sorry to bother you, I’m here to discuss the matter of renowned teachers."

The first ssage was very brief but clear, and the wording was quite polite.

It’s just a bit too formal, which made Chen Yang feel that she might be sowhat unfamiliar with Li Han, hence the tone.

"Hello, Teacher Jin, would you like to et in person when you have ti?"

Chen Yang thought it over and decided a face-to-face eting was better, after all, this was no small matter, with dozens of teachers involved; it needed to be taken seriously.

"Sure, Mr. Chen, I happen to have so free ti recently. How about we et this afternoon?"

The other party quickly replied to Chen Yang’s ssage.

From the chosen ti, it seed she placed importance on this matter too.

And since Chen Yang had nothing planned for the afternoon, he agreed.

"Alright, I’ll let you know the location later for our eting." Chen Yang replied.

"Okay, looking forward to the cooperation."

After exchanging these words, they didn’t communicate further.

Then Chen Yang put away his phone and, as usual, went out for a walk.

"Boss!"

Walking down the village street, Chen Yang suddenly heard soone calling out to him.

He turned his head to see a rather slick, untrustworthy-looking man carrying a package, excitedly coming towards him.

Li ngzi?

Chen Yang was taken aback but soon recognized the man.

It was the "rascal" of Fuling Village, Li ngzi.

They had interacted when dealing with the Heavenly Eagle Cult’s mineral theft issue in Fuling Village so ti ago.

But hadn’t been in touch afterwards, leaving Chen Yang with so impression.

Unexpectedly eting him in the village today was indeed surprising for Chen Yang.

"Li ngzi, it’s you." Chen Yang said.

"Oh boss, it’s definitely !" Li ngzi excitedly stepped closer.

Seeing his excited face, Chen Yang said, "Are you here for a vacation? You’ve probably spent most of the money from helping out last ti, haven’t you?"

Upon hearing this, Li ngzi awkwardly smiled and scratched the back of his head, saying, "Boss, I’m not here for a vacation. I ca specifically to find you, just took the bus over, and didn’t expect to see you right after getting off."

"You ca specifically to find ? What’s the matter?" Chen Yang was even more surprised.

He couldn’t figure out what the guy wanted from him.

"Yes, boss, I ca specifically to see you." Li ngzi emphasized, then continued, "Since I witnessed your prowess last ti, I’ve been genuinely impressed by you, boss, and realized how misguided I’ve been before! So I’ve decided to turn over a new leaf and learn so skills! That’s why I ca here, hoping to beco your apprentice!"

Li ngzi spoke sincerely.

Chen Yang was bewildered and amused.

"Beco my apprentice? Are you serious?" Chen Yang said, amused.

"Of course I’m serious! I even discussed it with Village Chief Li, and he wholeheartedly supports . Boss, please take in! I’ll be your disciple, turn over a new leaf, and study hard."

Li ngzi’s expression was exceedingly earnest.

If not for knowing his past, it would indeed seem believable.

But unfortunately, Chen Yang was aware of his past.

Regardless of what kind of person Li ngzi was, Chen Yang never intended to take on apprentices, so he decisively rejected him.

"Li ngzi, I have no plans to take on apprentices now or in the future. Why not reconsider and find a job if you really want to start anew?" Chen Yang said.

Upon hearing this, Li ngzi’s expression imdiately turned desperate.

"Boss, you must take in, I could work, but I genuinely want to be your apprentice," Li ngzi sincerely pleaded.

"I’ve said I have no intention to ntor anyone." Chen Yang persisted.

Li ngzi didn’t expect Chen Yang to refuse so outright and was montarily confused.

Seeing his deanor, Chen Yang sensed a genuine intent to reform and didn’t want to discourage him too much.

Thinking about it, wasn’t Liu the Taoist at the Green Cloud Temple taking people in recently?

If Li ngzi truly wanted a fresh start, the temple might be a good place to learn about life skills.

"Although I won’t be your ntor, I can introduce you to a place. If you genuinely wish to renew yourself, go there and prove your dedication. You might even learn valuable skills," Chen Yang suddenly suggested.

"Really?"

Li ngzi seed to have caught sight of hope.

"It’s true." Chen Yang confird, then explained the situation at the temple.

Li ngzi listened, visibly hesitant.

Because Chen Yang’s suggestion was vastly different from his original plan.

He just wanted to learn skills; he hadn’t considered being a Taoist.

In his view, becoming a Taoist was similar to renouncing worldly life.

"What, not interested? Then forget it. Since you’ve co all this way, don’t go back empty-handed. I’ll give you a ticket for the scenic area to explore before heading ho." Chen Yang said, seeing Li ngzi hesitate, not pressing further with his introduction.

Unexpectedly, Li ngzi bit his lip and actually agreed.

"Boss! Please introduce . If learning skills requires embracing a new life like a Taoist, I’m ready to do that." Li ngzi declared firmly.

Chen Yang almost laughed out loud. How did becoming a Taoist equate to renouncing the world?

"I can introduce you, but whether you get accepted is up to him. If he disapproves, that’s the end of it." Chen Yang pre-emptively stated.

"Alright!"

Li ngzi agreed decisively.

"Then follow ; I was planning to head there anyway." Seeing Li ngzi agree, Chen Yang didn’t say much more, leading him through the village to Liu’s Green Cloud Temple.

Seeing the temple, Li ngzi’s eyes lit up, and he exclaid in admiration.

"Such a fine temple, I’ve never seen one so grand." Li ngzi remarked.

Chen Yang chuckled, remaining silent.

Upon entering, there were quite a few worshippers.

This was early morning. By noon, it could get even busier.

Once inside, Chen Yang quickly found Liu the Taoist.

Liu the Taoist had just organized his things, preparing to go out with his dog, Wangcai, and coincidentally encountered Chen Yang in the courtyard.

"Little friend Chen Yang, what brings you here so early?" Liu the Taoist greeted with a smile.

"I just ca to check on you. How did recruiting apprentices go yesterday?" Chen Yang asked with a smile.

Liu the Taoist shook his head with a smile but didn’t speak.

Apparently, he hadn’t found anyone to his liking.

While they talked, Li ngzi behind Chen Yang was also observing Liu the Taoist.

Previously awed by the temple’s grandeur, he was now captivated by Liu the Taoist’s ethereal aura.

In his honest opinion, the deanor truly seed divine.

Being so impressive, the skills must be exceptional.

Feeling his trip wasn’t in vain, he secretly resolved to apprentice himself today!
