But who would have thought, stepping out of the car was soone completely unexpected by Chen Yang.
From the car erged a young man in a black suit with a pair of stylish sunglasses on his face.
This man was at least over 1.8 ters tall, with a well-proportioned build and an imposing aura.
Even though Chen Yang was standing at a distance, he could sense that this man’s aura was not ordinary and not sothing just anyone possessed.
“Who is this? Has the Gu Family really run out of n? Sending soone of such high status to take over Gu Hongwei’s tasks?”
Watching the man step out of the car and walk into the Gu Family building, Chen Yang speculated to himself.
Chen Yang stood in the yard watching for a while, and when he finally saw the man enter Gao Ya’s office, he stopped paying attention.
Standing from a distance, observing was futile; it would be more practical to find an opportunity to text Gao Ya and ask for details.
Chen Yang stopped paying attention, turned around, went to the kitchen, and heated up the leftovers from last night’s al to fill his stomach a bit.

Chen Yang was a bit stunned, unsure of their intentions, but without overthinking, he took a few steps forward and opened the backyard door.
“What do you want?”
Opening the door, Chen Yang rudely asked Gu Ming while sizing up the man standing next to him.
Initially standing at a distance, Chen Yang hadn’t noticed, but now face-to-face, he saw that this man in front of him bore so resemblance to the Gu Mingxuan he had gotten rid of.
“Chen Yang, let introduce soone to you, this is my cousin, Gu Xuanyu. He ca specially from the provincial city to see you for sothing.” Gu Ming introduced Gu Xuanyu with so pride, his neck held high.
Hearing this, Chen Yang’s brow furrowed slightly.
Thinking to himself, your Gu Family is practically at odds with , why introduce your cousin to ? Are you nuts?
Just as Chen Yang was about to lash out, Gu Xuanyu spoke first.
“Are you Chen Yang? I’ve heard your na in the provincial city and know you have so conflicts with our family. But this ti, I’m not here to cause trouble; I’m here for my fiancée.” Gu Mingxuan’s face remained calm, yet his tone carried an unspoken arrogance.
The feeling was as though he was a natural-born king, and speaking politely to Chen Yang was a favor to him.
Chen Yang disliked this feeling, so he naturally wouldn’t indulge him.
“Looking for your fiancée? You’re looking for her at my house? Are you insulting yourself or insulting ?” Chen Yang responded with a cold laugh.
At Chen Yang’s words, both their expressions changed instantly.
Gu Ming directly rebuked Chen Yang, “Chen Yang, how can you speak like that? My cousin is speaking nicely to you, don’t be ungrateful.”
Chen Yang continued to laugh coldly, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what I said. Coming to my house to find your fiancée, isn’t he setting himself up for trouble?”
Chen Yang’s cold laughter was full of sarcasm.
Hearing this, Gu Ming gritted his teeth in anger, unable to hold back and wanting to argue with Chen Yang.
But he was stopped by Gu Xuanyu beside him.

Because he truly didn’t expect that the one set up to have a blind date with Dai Annie would be soone from the Gu Family! What a coincidence.
“Oh, looking for Dai Annie? Sorry, Annie already left this morning, and I don’t know where she went. But she did leave a ssage for you, want to hear it?” Chen Yang responded with a smile after recovering from his surprise.
Gu Xuanyu had been paying attention to Chen Yang’s expression, and when he heard Annie had left, his face couldn’t hold the expression and darkened instantly.
“Gone?”
“Yes, gone. Left knowing you were coming to find her.”
“What ssage did she leave?” Gu Xuanyu asked.
Chen Yang smiled slightly, without hesitation: “She said, give up and stop bothering her. She already has soone she likes.”
After hearing this, Gu Xuanyu’s face darkened further.
His facial muscles even twitched twice; it was clear he was struggling to suppress his inner anger.
After pressing down his anger for about two or three seconds, he spoke again: “Since Annie isn’t here, I won’t disturb you. In a week’s ti, it’s the old man’s birthday banquet. I’ll be expecting you to attend, Mr. Chen!”
Gu Xuanyu said each word with a hint of threat, and after finishing, he cupped his hands towards Chen Yang and turned to leave.
His last sentence was filled with a sense of threat, and Chen Yang could clearly feel it. Although Gu Xuanyu seed easy-going on the surface, not seeming to care about past grievances with the Gu Family,

Dai Annie showed no reaction when she heard the visitor was from the Gu Family.
But when she heard Chen Yang describe how angry they got, she burst into laughter, very excited.

Chen Yang chuckled, “I just figured I’d help settle it in one go, so he won’t bother you again, right?”
“Hehe, you’re right.” Dai Annie laughed and then asked, “Do you think it had an effect? How did he react?”
“I don’t know if it had any effect, he didn’t show it, but he was really angry.” Chen Yang thought for a mont and said.
