Chapter 1268: Chapter 1265: Wound Chapter 1268: Chapter 1265: Wound At last, Ye Muyu had the idea of making grape wine and ntioned it to Chu Heng, who naturally agreed and even told the servants to handle it.
Ye Muyu felt completely satisfied. Noticing it was getting late, she washed up and went to bed.
A few days passed.
Ye Muyu’s appetite gradually improved. Each morning, she could finally finish a small bowl of porridge and so side dishes.
Her appetite had roughly returned to two-thirds of what it used to be.
After she washed up and ca out of the house, she saw Chu Heng practicing with his sword outside.
Ye Muyu stood by without approaching.
Instead, Su i brought over a chair for her to sit on.
“It’s okay, I’ll stand for a while; I’m not very tired.” Having rested well recently, Ye Muyu actually wanted to walk around more to exercise.
She felt quite spirited.
Seeing this, Su i didn’t insist.
She simply stood quietly to the side, instructing others to bring over so tea.
Chu Heng had noticed Ye Muyu when she ca out and practiced for fifteen more minutes before stopping, which was half an hour less than usual.
Chu Heng walked over, handed the sword to Lu Chuan, and said softly, “You’re awake? Let’s go to the front hall for lunch in a mont, Mother ntioned that they’ve brought back so fresh vegetables from the manor, including your favorites—bitter lon and cucumber.”
Ye Muyu’s eyes lit up, showing so interest, “What dishes were made with bitter lon this morning? I’d like to have stuffed bitter lon at noon.”
Chu Heng, raising an eyebrow, seed surprised, “You have an appetite for at?”
“I plan to eat it with vinegar, and if the filling has more lean at, it should be fine,” Ye Muyu said with a sly smile.
“Alright, I’ll instruct the kitchen,” said Chu Heng decisively, imdiately sending the servant boy to the kitchen with the instructions.
He then went back to his room to change clothes and wipe off his sweat.
Ye Muyu did not leave; she waved to call Lu Chuan over.
“Has Ah Heng’s wound healed?” Ye Muyu asked, clearly noticing a change in Lu Chuan’s expression; she instinctively frowned, as she had been declined every ti she tried to check Chu Heng’s wound over the past few days.
Only seeing that his complexion was good, she hadn’t pressed the matter.
But today he had started martial arts training again, and the worry Ye Muyu had just let go of flared up once more.
“What’s wrong?” asked Ye Muyu.
Lu Chuan spoke quietly, “Master’s wound has scabbed over, but the doctor said to avoid major movents to prevent the wound from splitting open.”
Ye Muyu understood then that Chu Heng was still not fit for martial arts training.
She turned and glanced at the firmly closed room door.
Seeing a servant boy deliver clothes inside.
Her eyes flickered, and she strode over, intercepting the servant boy.
The servant boy looked at her, astonished, and halted his steps, bowing in greeting.
“I’ll take them inside,” Ye Muyu whispered, disregarding his surprised expression and entering the room under the curious gazes of the servants.
Inside, the bathtub still emitted steam.
Chu Heng’s clothes were placed on the screen.
She was a few steps away from the screen, but she imdiately noticed a piece of gauze with fresh blood stains on it.
Chu Heng’s bathing prompted slight sounds of water, and his voice was low and cool, “Put down the clothes and leave; no need to attend to .”
His tone was completely different from when he was with her.
Ye Muyu bit her lip and set down the clothes. Yet, she stepped up onto the platform and in a mont stood next to the bathtub, her gaze directly landing on his chest.
Sure enough, there was a wound oozing blood beads, and it seed as though the water too had taken on a reddish tint.
“You’ve torn open your wound,” Ye Muyu said, her voice tinged with slight anger.
Chu Heng had not expected her, and coupled with Ye Muyu’s sudden appearance, he was taken aback.
