To the assistant’s astonishnt, the goat he had shot with the Dinosaur Slayer gun instantly transford into a whole roasted goat. Furthermore, since the goat had grazed on various spices, its body emitted an absolutely tantalizing aroma when it was cooked. The rich blend of seasonings, with a prominent note of cumin, was enough to tempt anyone’s taste buds.
The assistant carried the roasted goat over, found a large leaf to use as a platter, and set the al down. He then broke off a few branches, whittled them into makeshift chopsticks, and handed them out to everyone with a smile.
"When I used to eat roasted mutton skewers, I always dread of one day having a whole roasted goat," he said. "But I was poor and could never afford one, so that dream never ca true.
"But today, holding Zhao Rong’s Dinosaur Slayer gun, I managed to make a whole roasted goat with a single shot! My childhood dream is finally a reality!
"Everyone, co sit with and let’s eat this together. Don’t be polite! Just pretend that I, your trusty assistant, slow-roasted it on a grill with all sorts of spices."
Just then, Lili walked over. She snatched the Dinosaur Slayer gun from Zhao Rong’s hands, aid at a crocodile lurking in the water nearby, and fired.
In a pool not far off, a prehistoric, man-eating crocodile had been stealthily subrged, waiting for an antelope to co for a drink. The crocodile was so well hidden that the approaching antelope didn’t notice it at all as it lowered its head to the water. The predator watched the antelope, preparing to lunge and clamp its jaws around the animal’s neck.
Looks like this unlucky antelope is about to beco my al, the crocodile snickered to itself.
The instant the crocodile lunged, the antelope finally spotted it. But the attack was too swift; the antelope had no ti to react. It squeezed its eyes shut.
This is it, it thought in despair. One false step leads to a lifeti of regret.
But as the two animals’ fates were about to collide, Lili pulled the trigger.
The prehistoric, man-eating crocodile, struck by the beam from the Dinosaur Slayer gun, instantly turned into a roasted crocodile.
The antelope, which had been bracing for the fatal bite, saw the pouncing predator suddenly stop and turn cooked right before its eyes. It stared, wide-eyed, then scrambled away.
My God, I must be seeing things! it thought. How did this prehistoric, man-eating crocodile get roasted in an instant? Could the heavens be helping our kind?
When Lili saw she had perfectly cooked the massive beast with one shot, she happily went over and dragged the imnse roasted crocodile back to the group.
"Your roasted goat and suckling pig are nothing," Lili declared to Zhao Rong, the assistant, Yu Lan, and Xue Liani. "Check out my roasted crocodile! How about that? Co on, dig in! Don’t be shy!"
With that, she pulled out a knife and fork and began to eat.
When Xue Liani saw that Yu Lan, Lili, and the assistant had all used Zhao Rong’s gun to whip up a feast, she couldn’t resist stepping forward. She took the Dinosaur Slayer gun from Zhao Rong, held it high, and announced to the others, "Don’t fill up on roasted goat, crocodile, or suckling pig just yet. Wait until I make you a roasted pterosaur so you can see how that tastes."
When Zhao Rong heard that Xue Liani planned to shoot a flying pterosaur out of the sky, his eyes widened. "Xue Liani, I know that gun is for killing dinosaurs, but pterosaurs can fly! They’re so high up! Can you really aim well enough to hit one?"
Before Zhao Rong could even finish his sentence, Xue Liani fired at the flock of pterosaurs soaring high above. Instantly, one of them plumted from the sky and landed right in front of Zhao Rong, the three won, and the assistant.
Xue Liani walked over and dragged back the pterosaur she had shot. When Zhao Rong saw that it was already perfectly roasted, he was stunned. "Dang, Xue Liani, your marksmanship is incredible! You just casually shot a flying pterosaur right out of the sky!"
Xue Liani smiled, pulling out napkins and plates. "Alright, everyone, put down your roasted suckling pigs, crocodiles, and goats," she said, handing them out. "Co and try my roasted pterosaur!"
Seeing that she had actually cooked a pterosaur in mid-air, the others imdiately rushed over with their knives, forks, and plates.
Lili speared a piece of the at with her fork and popped it into her mouth. "Dang," she said, chewing thoughtfully. "I’ve seen people on TV fantasize about eating dinosaur at, but I never thought I’d actually get to try it myself."
"They always say ducks evolved from dinosaurs," Yu Lan chid in, eating her piece. "I never really believed it. But after tasting this dinosaur at, I have to say, it tastes exactly like Peking duck!"
The assistant was also eating with gusto. "It’s as they say, ’dragon at from heaven, donkey at on earth.’ This is unbelievably delicious!" he exclaid.
Zhao Rong curiously took a bite and then frowned. "Dang. It might be dinosaur at, but why does it taste no different from chicken?"
Just then, Xue Liani pulled so packets of Orleans-style chicken wing seasoning from her pocket and sprinkled so over the pterosaur. "You’re all eating roasted dinosaur at without any seasoning? Eating it plain is so boring!" she said to the others. "Here, I’ve got Orleans seasoning for everyone. I’ll give you each a packet to sprinkle on your share. This way, it’ll be as satisfying as eating a drumstick at KFC!"
After Zhao Rong added the seasoning to his portion, the flavor improved imnsely. The group continued to feast on roasted dinosaur at and drink coconut juice, feeling absolutely fantastic.
However, as Zhao Rong and his friends were enjoying their al, a group of cannibals was slowly approaching them from a distance. Their leader walked at the front, clutching a bow and arrow. He licked his lips as he watched the group.
"It’s been a long ti since we’ve had human flesh," he hissed. "And today, five people have been delivered right to us. We’ll capture them, roast them, and feast!"
The cannibals trailing behind him grinned eagerly, anticipating the mont they would help their leader capture and devour Zhao Rong, the assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xue Liani.
