However, just as everyone was enjoying this wonderful world, the sky suddenly filled with dark clouds, and venomous insects began to scurry across the ground.
Zhao Rong hurriedly pulled a bottle of mind-clearing agent from his pocket. He quickly sprayed it on the temples of his assistant, Miss Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian. "Everyone, wake up!" he urged. "This place we’re in is Hell, not Paradise! Look at the black clouds in the sky, pressing down as if to crush the city! Look at the venomous insects on the ground, viciously devouring people..."
The assistant and the three won, jolted by the mind-clearing agent, instantly ca to their senses. Staring at the scene before them, they spoke in disbelief.
"What’s going on?" one asked. "The blue sky, white clouds, beach, stream, little fish, the beauty on the swing, the green grass, the fragrant flowers, the bees, the honey... where did it all go?"
The assistant said in a panic, "Oh my gosh! A mont ago, I clearly saw a beautiful woman on a swing. How did she turn into an old witch with a sickle charging at us in the blink of an eye?"
Miss Lili was just as incredulous. "I clearly saw a swarm of bees busily gathering nectar and making honey. How did they vanish in an instant, replaced by a swarm of venomous spiders? And they look like the most venomous type—black widows..."
Yu Lan stared at the nearby stream, her mouth agape in shock. "How is this possible? How did the crystal-clear stream turn into a pool of filthy water? And how did the little fish inside beco terrifying piranhas?"
Xuelian was even more horrified to discover that the colorful, auspicious clouds she had seen had beco a mass of dark thunderheads. The Jingu Bang she had glimpsed had turned into a Wolf Fang Club, and the golden headband on Sun Wukong’s head had beco a crown of thorns.
Xuelian gasped, rubbing her temples. She turned to Zhao Rong and asked, "This can’t be real. Are you saying this space we’ve entered is actually Hell, not Paradise? Was everything we saw before just an illusion?"
Zhao Rong drew the Damo Sword from his Magic Ring, his face filled with killing intent. "What you saw wasn’t an illusion, but reality itself. The reason for the switch between beauty and ugliness is because human nature is inherently evil..."
Hearing this, the assistant and the three won exchanged glances before staring at Zhao Rong and protesting loudly, "Big Brother Zhao Rong, can you stop being so pretentious? Must you speak in such a deep and philosophical way? Please, just explain it simply so we can all understand what’s going on!"
Hearing them, Zhao Rong said awkwardly, "My apologies. I forgot to tell you. When we ca through the ti-space tunnel into this dinsion, our minds were imdiately muddled by the miasma here. That’s why we saw an illusion."
The assistant, still confused, asked, "But why did I suddenly sober up and see the real scene instead of the illusion?"
Zhao Rong took the bottle of mind-clearing agent from his pocket, gave the assistant’s temples another spritz, and explained, "When I realized the miasma was clouding your minds, I imdiately used the agent on your temples. It restored your judgnt and perception, allowing you to wake up and see this space for what it truly is."
Understanding finally dawned on the assistant. "Zhao Rong, does this an we ca to the wrong place through the ti-space tunnel?"
Zhao Rong shook his head. "No, we didn’t co to the wrong place. We ca to the *right* place. That’s why we’ve attracted the enemy’s attention. They first released the miasma to confuse us, and now they’ve sent these assassins to kill us."
As Zhao Rong spoke, Miss Lili’s eyes widened. She saw the old witch with the scythe rushing toward them, the massive, tank-like black widow spiders crawling on the ground, the countless black venomous insects writhing everywhere, and the killer bees with their enormous stingers fluttering in the air.
Seeing all this, Miss Lili couldn’t help but inhale sharply. "Zhao Rong," she said, her voice trembling with fear, "are all these creatures assassins sent by the villain Hong Ju to kill us?"
Zhao Rong nodded grimly. "That’s right. Whether it’s the old witch with the scythe, the killer bees in the sky, or the venomous insects and black widows on the ground, they are all monsters created from the villain Hong Ju’s imagination."
Hearing that these monsters were born from Hong Ju’s mind, Yu Lan expressed her disbelief. "Big Brother Zhao Rong, that’s just too bizarre. How can these living creatures be created by Hong Ju’s imagination? That’s completely unrealistic and flies in the face of materialism, right?"
Seeing Yu Lan’s confusion, Zhao Rong explained, "Yu Lan, what you don’t realize is that this entire dinsion was created by the villain Hong Ju. Therefore, everything within it was created from his imagination. Do you understand now?"
Despite his explanation, Yu Lan still couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
Seeing her friend was still lost, Xuelian offered her own interpretation. "Yu Lan, let put it this way. You know how they say n are from Mars and won are from Venus? Our ways of thinking are different.
"From a woman’s perspective, the villain Hong Ju is the creator of this space. He used his imagination to create everything in it.
"So, while these things we see are real, living beings, they were actually conjured from thin air.
"It’s just that within this specific dinsion, they can beco real. But the mont they leave this space, they revert to being re thoughts."
Xuelian’s perfect explanation finally made everything click for Yu Lan. She exclaid in amazent, "My goodness! This villain Hong Ju must be incredibly powerful to be able to create a whole dinsion. He’s a truly formidable figure!"
The assistant recalled their previous encounter with Hong Ju’s son, Zhou Xiaoer. "If his son, Zhou Xiaoer, was so hard to deal with, then his father, Hong Ju, must be even more of a challenge."
Miss Lili added, "The older the fox, the craftier the trick. It seems we’re about to face a powerful opponent."
Yu Lan squared her shoulders, ready for a fight. "You’re right, Big Brother Zhao Rong. Let’s prepare for battle. We’ll eliminate these monsters, destroy this dinsion, and finally drag out the mastermind, Hong Ju, and bring him to justice!"
Xuelian spoke with confidence. "As long as we have Big Brother Zhao Rong with us, no matter how perilous this place is, we can conquer it. We will succeed, escape this dinsion safely, and achieve the ultimate victory!"
