"There’s no ti, let’s go."
War Wolf’s eyes bore a complex expression as he glanced at the room, then quickly dragged Leng Ruobing away. The very next second, the place collapsed.
Boom boom boom!
A series of piercing explosion sounds ca from the entire mountain, which collapsed completely.
He Fang, clutching He Kun, rushed out of the hole, followed closely by a number of masters of the Innate Late Stage and above. Imdiately after, War Wolf, with Leng Ruobing, dashed out like a flying arrow.
A violent roar ensued, and the entire entrance was completely buried, the mountain shrank significantly due to the collapse of the base, and its position shifted.
Everyone who escaped was a master of the Innate Late Stage or above. The rest, obviously not fast enough, t their end inside.
As for the survivors, they all sat on the ground, gasping for air violently. They had just been racing against death itself, pushing their speed to the limit; being one second slower could have ant their bones would not be found.
"That scared to death!"
He Kun collapsed on the ground, his face deathly pale. If it wasn’t for his father, he doubted he could have made it out.
At that mont, He Fang saw Leng Ruobing with a downcast face and War Wolf to the side. His expression changed, and he hurried over, saying, "Ruo Bing, Lord War Wolf, where are Ye Luo and Miss Shi?"
Leng Ruobing wore a look of sorrow, her eyes filled with complex emotions as she gazed at the collapsed entrance, her fists clenched tightly.
"I will report this incident to Elder Shi, and I will take full responsibility," War Wolf said solemnly, with a grave tone.
He Fang’s expression darkened, clearly realizing that Ye Luo and Shi Yanran were likely...
In the distance, He Kun, hearing that Ye Luo had died inside, felt a surge of secret glee.
After Leng Ruobing and the others returned to the Capital City, War Wolf went straight to a secluded quadrangle in the city. Two n in military uniforms stood outside. As they saw War Wolf, they greeted him, "Commander."
War Wolf nodded and walked straight in.
In the courtyard, beneath a tree large enough to shade the sun, was a stone table and a wicker chair. An elderly man in a gray robe sat there, sipping tea, with the loyal elder standing beside him.
"Elder Shi!" War Wolf approached, respectfully addressing the elder on the wicker chair, his head bowed.
"Is sothing wrong with Yan Ran?" The elder’s gaze t War Wolf’s, and he spoke directly, reading sothing from his expression.
"I’m sorry, Elder Shi, War Wolf has failed. I couldn’t protect the miss," War Wolf said with a complex expression and a low voice.
The loyal elder’s face changed, and he blurted out, "War Wolf, what has happened to Miss Yan Ran?"
"We found the Maple Leaf Organization’s base at Sunset Mountain and fought a great battle. In the end, Maple Leaf Young Master Hong Feiyang and a few of his subordinates managed to escape. All the others were wiped out. But we didn’t expect they had planted explosives in the base. Before leaving, they detonated the explosives, and as a result, the miss and Ye Luo didn’t make it out," War Wolf explained.
The mont he spoke, the old man sitting on the wicker chair changed color, the teacup in his hand trembling slightly, but not spilling a drop.
His face betrayed neither anger nor pain, but the loyal elder next to him was aghast, exclaiming, "How could this be, War Wolf? Why didn’t you save the miss?"
"At that ti, the miss and Ye Luo were in the middle of... so I couldn’t bring them out."
"What were they doing?" the loyal elder asked hurriedly.
The battle wolf briefly reported the situation, and the elder sitting in the wicker chair, who was Shi Yanran’s grandfather, Elder Shi, narrowed his eyes slightly and let out a sigh.
"Perhaps this is their fate, but no matter whether they are dead or alive, their bodies must be found," Elder Shi said in a sowhat somber voice.
"Yes, Elder Shi," the battle wolf nodded.
Then, a fierce light flashed in Elder Shi’s eyes, and an overwhelming aura of dread surged forth from him as he commanded, "Tell the War God, I want the Maple Leaf Organization to cease to exist within Huaxia."
"Understood." The battle wolf’s eyes also narrowed, a sharp gleam of murderous intent crossing them as he turned and walked out.
"Chief, do you really believe that the young miss has already..." The loyal old man couldn’t help but look at Elder Shi and speak.
"Alive or dead, everything is up to the will of heaven now."
In the CEO’s office of the Qin Group.
"What did you say? This... How is that possible?"
Qin Yuru looked at Leng Ruobing in disbelief, her body shaking violently.
"It can’t be, Ruobing, you’re not lying to , right? How could Ye Luo..." Qin Yuru’s face was full of disbelief.
"Although I also wish this weren’t true, it’s a fact. Notify the others who were close to him," Leng Ruobing said with an indifferent face.
"How could this happen?" Tears of sadness welled up in Qin Yuru’s eyes, and her face still showed disbelief.
Soon, the news of Ye Luo’s death spread, shocking many in the Capital City. After all, since the Situ Family’s birthday banquet, Ye Luo had beco a notable figure throughout the Capital City.
Now, his sudden death startled many. Of course, among those was Situ Wentian, who bore a grudge against Ye Luo and appeared to be quite pleased.
"Kid, to think you’d die just like that, what a cheap way out," Situ Wentian said in a cold voice.
As for the won with deep connections to Ye Luo, upon hearing the news of his death, each of them was deeply shocked, especially Situ Luoyun, Han ngxi, and Ling Qingya, who found it hard to believe and were in imnse pain.
"Why... why did you..."
In a hotel room in Capital City, Ling Qingya sat on the sofa, lost and in a trance, her whole being hollowed out, her mind filled with images of Ye Luo.
At that mont, Ling Qingya felt as if she had lost sothing very important, as if her heart was suddenly half empty.
The scene shifts back to the base at the mont of the explosion.
In a room of that base, Ye Luo was continually absorbing the cold energy from the True Qi seed, while Shi Yanran was holding onto his body, sprinting away. Suddenly, a rumbling noise erupted.
Ye Luo’s eyes snapped open, a glint of sharpness passing through them, his Clairvoyant Eye swept the area, and his expression changed imdiately.
"Yan Ran!" Ye Luo exclaid sharply, and Shi Yanran’s eyes slowly opened, revealing a lucid clarity.
"What’s happening...?" Shi Yanran’s face changed abruptly as she looked at herself and Ye Luo, her expression one of shock.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
In the blink of an eye, the entire house collapsed, and just when Ye Luo and Shi Yanran thought they were going to die, the ground beneath the bed they were on gave way, revealing a vast passageway. The pair, along with the entire bed, fell into the passage, screaming involuntarily.
