But these three are not People of Castilia, they don’t feel the pain firsthand.
The Puppet King ignored the curses, as a seasoned "director," he firmly believed that the ending of every story in this world must be justice overcoming evil.
Because the na of the victor itself is justice.
He coldly said:
"Kill them all!"
Regardless of whether they were good or bad people in life, the Four Horsen of Apocalypse had long lost themselves, and upon hearing the command, they imdiately acted.
The Conquest Knight, holding a bow and arrows, attacked first, bending the bow and nocking an arrow.
Bang—!
A streak of light flew in, continually splitting into hundreds of golden arrows in mid-air.
Each arrow left a long white trail in the rain, the piercing whistle proving each shot was as powerful as a siege ballista.
Navigator Katerina raised the Storm Bottle, and the wind and rain instantly ford a high-speed rotating bubble to shield the group.
But unexpectedly, it failed to block them all, and the arrows that pierced through the bubble continued raining down like drops.
Beast Nesis Wickliffe, the Monster Hunter, stepped forward, barely managing to block most of the arrows.
The arrows buried deep into the deck at his feet still humd with vibration, "Buzzing" loudly.
Seeing this, everyone visibly changed color.
A normal Fourth Order Hero archer shouldn’t have such strength; could becoming a puppet make one stronger than in life?
"Did you think I mimicked the Four Horsen of Apocalypse with puppets just for a fancy na?"
The Puppet King Louis laughed heartily, taking out a banner and planting it on the ground.
The flag fluttered in the wind, letting Byron and his comrades see the Heroic Battle Banner belonging to most of them, sewn with a blood-stained piece of linen.
On the linen was scripture, containing words carved on the Four Horsen of Apocalypse, plus an extra line:
"Authority was granted to them to slay a quarter of the people on earth with sword, famine, plague, and beasts."
Radiant like a scorching sun.
Byron imdiately recognized what that sewn strip of cloth was.
"The Zero Level Sacred Relic: Turin Shroud (incomplete) once used to wrap the Saint Heir’s corpse!
He actually used a Zero-Level Sacred Relic stained with the True God’s blood as his legion emblem and truly summoned the Four Horsen of Apocalypse from the other side?
Was that just the effect of the Horsen’s legion?"
Every Fourth Order Hero Transcendent possesses a general ability called Heroic Battle Banner.
It allows them to use legion emblems to summon hero units from history, granting their Heroic Guards spiritual empowernt (Chapter 292).
Catherine once relied on a Javelin of the Silver-winged Knights to craft her mithril version Silver-winged Knights.
The legion effects are extraordinarily powerful Demonslayer Holy Silver and Do Not Disturb the Sleeping Dragon.
Bear in mind the Javelin was just a Third Level Sacred Relic, imagine the strength gained using a Zero Level Sacred Relic as a legion emblem.
Even The Kingmaker Warwick had an incomplete Zero Level Sacred Relic, so it’s not surprising that Puppet King Louis, a Prince of the leading mariti power, also possesses one.
With such treasures, possessing abilities like "Catch a blade barehanded and survive at 100% probability," or "One-hit-kill anyone nad Tom," or "Change any person’s na to Tom" aren’t entirely impossible.
Without waiting for Byron to use Echoes of History, the assuredly victorious Puppet King proactively stated the Four Horsen of Apocalypse’s legion effects:
"Below High Sequence, no matter how many enemies there are, when they appear on the battlefield, they can invariably kill a quarter!
The more enemies, the stronger they beco."
Hiss—!
"Invariably kill a quarter?"
Upon hearing such terrifying conceptual power, the group’s steps hesitated—evidently, no one wanted to be part of that quarter killed.
Facing enemies on their turf, where one could easily beco a puppet, defeating them felt nearly impossible.
But then the Sailing Logbook read from the Heroic Battle Banner what the Puppet King deliberately concealed, a prerequisite:
"When the Four Horsen of Apocalypse form a knightly order against an enemy."
Byron quickly divulged the opponent’s secret to the other Fourth Order Hero Transcendents beside him, then commanded:
"You just need to keep the Four Horsen of Apocalypse far apart, denying them the opportunity to join forces.
Leave the Puppet King and his toy soldiers to us."
As they dashed through the Block Castle, urgently formulating tactics, the large unit led by the Four Horsen of Apocalypse appeared on the opposite side of the corridor.
At the forefront were heavy cavalry resembling hundreds of iron towers, charging as a steel torrent under the Horsen’s lead.
Rumble...
As they ran together, the entire ship trembled.
Byron’s group was accustod to crushing opponents with superior equipnt, but this was their first ti encountering opponents fond of deploying high-end gear as they did, only with higher-tier and more nurous equipnt.
The Puppet King certainly understood outnumbering the few.
However!
"More people than bullets?
If one hundred bullets eliminate one enemy, I still profit."
Byron stepped back, as War Witch Violet advanced, casually tossing a colossal entity from her pocket space created by Crystal Skull No. 5 and No. 6.
