When Byron returned to the "Whale Oil Power Research Institute" at Torrent Fortress riding the Eight-legged Sky Horse, the supernatural phenona in the sky not only did not subside but intensified even further.

The deafening roar sounded as if a group of giants were vigorously beating war drums, and the pure white steam was like the breath of a demon monster, forming a vast sea of clouds that completely filled Edge Fortress.
The is Leviathan Whale Oil in the combustion chamber burned fiercely, releasing a sea-blue fla and imnse energy, driving a gigantic steel beast to operate at high speed.
Anything causing such a commotion is clearly not an ordinary steam engine.
Byron waved his hand, and a gust of wind imdiately swept through Edge Fortress, blowing away most of the white steam that filled the area.
This allowed him to see clearly the iron beast in the core workshop of the research institute, continuously spewing flas and steam.

The steam emitted a piercing hiss.
The whale oil core, cylinder, base, piston, crank connecting rod chanism, slide valve distribution, governor chanism, and flywheel, all together ford the world’s first Whale Oil Power Steam Engine.
The cylinder and base remained static, but most of the other structures were moving in a reciprocating motion.
Just like the blueprint he initially handed to Violet, the working principle involved burning the high energy-density whale oil to continuously boil water to generate steam.
The steam was channeled through pipes to the cylinder, entering the slide valve chamber via the main steam valve and throttle valve, where it was alternately directed to the left or right side of the cylinder by the slide valve, pushing the piston into motion.
When the thermal energy was converted into kinetic energy, the steam, after cooling, would be directed through pipes to a condenser to re-condense into water, repeatedly cycling through this process.
Up to this point, everything was aligned with engineering knowledge and within Byron’s understanding, but he couldn’t comprehend the subsequent developnts at all.
The Silver Code and its twin, the Golden Law, manifested at the sa ti, with golden radiance continuously pouring down from the sky and illuminating the prototype machine.
Then, centering on it, a rim-looking like gears continuously expanded in divine light.
Absorbing all surrounding spare parts, vulcanized rubber seals, whale oil fuel, pure water, and even unprocessed premium steel billets into its body.
The body of the steam engine showed no changes, but a golden phantom identical to it grew larger, expanding by five or six tis before causing the staff to hastily retreat.
Yet, the growth of the prototype engine had not reached its limit, emitting rhythmic "oo oo" sounds like a hungry baby.
The Sailing Logbook in Byron’s right eye revealed a line of text:
"Zero Level Sacred Relic: Whale Oil Power Steam Engine (Undergoing tamorphosis)..."

When he saw the key phrase, he couldn’t help but feel a jolt of spirit.
Even the Key of Omniscience in Byron’s hand, which was closest to the zero level and was said to eventually reach that step, was still just a first-level sacred relic up to now.
Perhaps with the continued spread of knowledge, there would be great potential, but it remained a long road to traverse in mysticism before reaching the level of a divine artifact like a zero-level sacred relic.

Violet was the first to react, imdiately leading the charge out.
The researchers quickly followed suit, even recruiting security personnel stationed around the institute to act as porters.
Trip after trip, they fed all the raw materials originally reserved for manufacturing one hundred steam engines to the seemingly bottomless prototype machine.

The prototype machine’s "hungry... food..." cravings continued to swell.

The warehouses in the steel mills and the raw material storage carrying Southern Continent specialties were also recruited under Violet’s command to sustain its appetite.
Anywhere else in the world, and this unique set of material conditions would not exist, leading to a likely premature failure.
In Byron’s vision, it was as if there was an otherworldly factory inside the belly of this steam engine, ceaselessly processing raw materials into the most efficient steam engine.
Using a very mystic approach, it linked itself and its physical counterpart in the external world into a massive steam engine array.
"Hungry... food... "
Researchers, factory heads, warehouse managers, frontline workers... countless people were bustling around chaotically, working tirelessly until late at night when the prototype machine finally halted its "gluttonous feast."
As the final beam of light from the collective human unconscious sea faded, it completed its ultimate transformation.
However, the golden, spectral shadow did not disappear; instead, it expanded to reach two stories in height, nearly reaching the ceiling of the workshop.
