Tatsumi did not even expect that one day, he would get involved with the Mikazuki family like this. He was currently inside a large room with the sll of several herbs mixed in. The sll was overwhelming his sense of sll because that was all he could sll in the room.
“Don’t move. So of your bones are likely fractured. There is so possibility that you also sustained internal injuries.” A told him such before she left him with the doctor who went and went with the treatnt.
Furthermore, the middle-aged man who called himself Long Wu was with him, accompanying in every step of the treatnt.
He was also the one who helped Tatsumi recover from the bone fracture. Tatsumi could feel that the man was using sothing that he did not see every day.
‘So this is the transcendent power Uncle has been talking about all this ti.’ Tatsumi thought.
‘Yes. Transcendent energy sources can be used to speed up natural recovery by almost twenty tis the normal speed. Currently, the herbs that the girl gave to you is actually filled with a transcendent energy source.’ Kudungga relayed.
‘What!? Didn’t you tell before that there is only one place where a transcendent energy source can be found?’
‘Yes. These herbs are likely coming from there. And I just found out, Mikazuki family is the one who is deeply involved in the victory of the Second Star Battle.’
‘Second…against the undead?’ Tatsumi recalled the mories he viewed and rembered that to be the case.
He had to do this because he could not get up from bed and he also had to rest due to the energy spent healing his body. Food would be provided shortly but until then Tatsumi could only communicate with Kudungga this way.
‘Hah, you should be ashad of your struggle. You cannot even defeat that black-robed man.’ Another voice ca and disturbed Tatsumi again.
This voice often ca to dean his result but Tatsumi did not care one bit about the voice. According to Kudungga, several nafs could be connected to him and this was the second one.
Tatsumi realized that the second one seed to guide him in a certain direction. The issue he had with this voice however, was that it valued winning as its core. It tried to entice Tatsumi into thinking that winning was all there was to prove himself.
Tatsumi scoffed at that idea. He knew that there were more things more important than victory but he could not refute the voice completely. Because there were monts where victory was necessary…
Back to the current mont, Tatsumi had to lie down on the prepared bed because of his condition. Fortunately, the bed was soft and comfortable enough for the current him to lie on it.
“Huh, the pain in my torso is so little it’s almost negligible,” Tatsumi said while checking his condition.
“Good.” Long Wu suddenly said while standing on one side of the bed.
“Um, what can I do for you, Senior?” Tatsumi said. While he said this, he glanced around and discovered that Chen Fei was not in the room. He was a bit awkward with strangers so he could only inquire about sothing.
“Don’t call that. I’d prefer it if you call teacher, though.” Long Wu replied.
“Senior, I just want to know why you helped us a bit later?” Tatsumi asked. He found out that Long Wu actually had been in the vicinity of the section of the park but did not reveal himself until much later.
Long Wu was a bit embarrassed about it but he replied nonetheless, “I just wanted to see how the young from the Comberth Continent deal with a Transcendent. Well, turned out I found a talent.”
While he said that, Long Wu stared directly at Tatsumi.
“What? Does that an I am talented enough to catch Senior’s eyes?” Tatsumi was a bit surprised to hear that response. But he understood that with Long Wu’s thod and prowess, he could deal with whatever ca his way.
“Yes.”
Tatsumi did not know what to do since he was out of the question. But this ti, Long Wu was the one who started another topic.
“Did you ever learn how to wield a real weapon before?” Long Wu asked.
“No, only kitchenware and a wooden sword. What is it to you?”
“Ah, that explains sothing. But that ans you are even more talented than I thought you were.”
Tatsumi did not know what kind of talent he had but he decided to ask.
But before he did, the door to the room opened. Chen Fei and Mikazuki A ca in.
“How’s your body?” Chen Fei asked.
“Better than before. I want to ask you this since I discovered you were in that park. What are you doing there with A?” Tatsumi asked him in return.
Chen Fei then explained the reason and Tatsumi sighed ruefully.
“You should have called the police first and foremost. With their help, perhaps the matter would be over sooner.” Tatsumi said after hearing what Chen Fei had to say.
“But you saw it yourself, the black-robed man's strength is unfathomable. I have never seen sothing like it in my life.” Chen Fei said while frowning. He clearly had seen that the neck of the black-robed man had been stabbed nurous tis by Tatsumi but he could still stand up and even put up a fight.
Then he added, “Besides, even if we really called the police, would they be able to handle these kinds of people?”
Tatsumi realized that even with the help of the police, the matter would not end up better. He could only curse his bad luck in encountering them.
“Alright, he needs to rest. Please eat this while it is still warm.” A offered sothing from the bowl she held. Tatsumi recognized it as the nourishing porridge, but the issue was that he disliked the taste so much he wanted to throw up every ti he consud one.
“Should I even eat this?” Tatsumi’s face beca paler at the thought of eating it.
“Yes. Your body is in the recovery stage. I even heard from the doctor that you are lucky to even be able to still feel your legs. The fractures are not only on your rib but likely extend to the spine. It was due to the first aid that the injury did not worsen.” A looked straight at Tatsumi, her expression serious.
“Ah…is that so?” Tatsumi now realized the severity of the issue.
According to what was taught in middle school, there were important parts to the human body and the spine, which stored part of the central nervous system was one of them.
“That is why you need to eat this.” A’s tone was the one where there had to be no refusal.
“You don’t know this A but Tatsumi hates eating that kind of thing. He’d rather extend his recovery ti than eat the porridge.” Chen Fei interjected and gave A so information about Tatsumi.
“This is troubleso.” A had to put the porridge right on Tatsumi’s lap.
‘I definitely don’t want to eat that!’ Tatsumi had decided from the start that he would not consu it, no matter what.
But at this ti, Long Wu, who had remained silent since the two ca in, took the bowl of porridge and forcefully thrust the spoon into Tatsumi’s mouth.
Tatsumi did not expect such speed coming from Long Wu so he was caught off-guard. But when his taste buds sensed the porridge, he was surprised to find out that the taste was not terrible.
“Hmm…” Tatsumi gulped down the porridge and knew that Long Wu had done sothing to the porridge.
A and Chen Fei were surprised to see that Tatsumi did not even change his expression when he ate that. But they also realized that Long Wu had probably done sothing to the porridge.
“I thought that the porridge tasted terrible so I added a bit of my special seasoning.” Long Wu said while he sprayed sothing on the porridge while Tatsumi was relishing the taste of the porridge.
Tatsumi did not know that the nutritional porridge could be so delicious.
“Thank you!” Tatsumi said this in a serious tone. He had a heartfelt thanks to Long Wu.
“No need for that. I an, do you want to take as your teacher?” Long Wu said seriously. Tatsumi had taken notice of Long Wu’s insistence on calling him a teacher.
However, he did not know the other party, except that he was strong and ca from the Qin Empire.
“No, at least not right now. We barely know each other.” Tatsumi replied after gulping down another spoonful of the porridge.
“Well, let’s take it slow.” Long Wu shook his head, helpless about the situation.
Just as they were about to start another topic, soone apparently arrived at the door of the room. They all heard the knocking sound and also the knob of the door being opened.
“Excuse .” There was an appearance of soone Tatsumi recognized from the photos taken as well as the newspaper and television. Although, the man in front of Tatsumi was looking up at him specifically since the man’s focused eyes never left him.
“Father, what brings you here?” A was surprised to see that her father ca at this mont. Seeing her, the man softened his gaze as well as his expression.
“It is just the guards who ca with you reported sothing to . So I have taken the liberty to see for myself the one who helped my daughter. That is reasonable, right?”
The man also did not forget to glance at Long Wu who was beside the bed.
But Long Wu did not say anything and smiled slightly.
Then the man’s gaze returned to Tatsumi.
“Since you are injured for protecting my daughter, I can repay you with the best treatnt the Mikazuki family has to offer. You can rest until you are fully recovered. Your friend made a request earlier to convey the situation to your family so you can rest assured.” The man said.
Tatsumi, of course, knew the man. He was the most influential when it ca to the current industry within the Hinon Federation and expanded to even the Qin Empire.
So he replied, “Thanks for the treatnt, Mister Mikazuki Yamaguchi. I will definitely repay this kindness.”
Having heard Tatsumi offer his reply, the man could not help but nod lightly.
“Just focus on your recovery. You are still a high school student.” Yamaguchi said softly before his gaze turned to Long Wu.
“As for you, Mister Long Wu, you have to co with for now. There is sothing I want to discuss with you.”
Long Wu naturally understood what Yamaguchi wanted to say to him. So he complied and both n left the room.
After that, Chen Fei told Tatsumi about the reaction of both Nene and Hua Fei as the two were basically the people who cared about the group.
“I’ll get a lot of scolding, no, we will,” Tatsumi said while eating his porridge as well as looking at Chen Fei. Chen Fei sighed helplessly.
“Thanks to you too, A.” Tatsumi said with a serious tone. After he scooped the last bit of the porridge, he put the bowl on the table beside the bed and engaged in small talk.
“I am doing this because I feel the need to do so. Don’t get wrong but this is also for myself.” A replied.
“Yeah. Looks like those who attacked you before are likely targeting specific people….or organization from the looks of it.” Tatsumi said his mind while glancing at the wristband that A had.
It had a white cloud pattern on a red background. It was a bit obvious from observation but Tatsumi found out that Charlene also had a similar thing too.
‘Wait. What does that signify then?’ Tatsumi thought to himself. But soon he started to get clues from within his mories.
‘No way!’ Tatsumi was surprised to find out what that actually ant.
‘The Congregation!’ Tatsumi pieced together several clues and discovered sothing that caused him a shock.
Apparently, the Father God Congregation had reached its hand deeper. He did not expect that Mikazuki A was also one of the important mbers of the Congregation. But he did not have the intention to tell her since it could be dangerous for him.
As for Charlene, Tatsumi felt that there was a reason why she joined the Congregation. But he could deduce that it was more beneficial for Charlene, at least that was what he thought.
A felt that Tatsumi was hiding sothing within his remark but she could not ask him that, would she?
“I want to know about your exchange with that black-robed man. How can you last against soone like him? Sorry if this touched your nerve or sothing.” She said.
Tatsumi did not expect that A was quite perceptive. Perhaps she had seen sothing from that battle if it could be considered one.
“Well, I just have a talent when it cos to battling against soone. Perhaps those sparring sessions in the Kendo Club weren’t in vain.” Tatsumi replied truthfully about the matter of him exchanging blows with the black-robed man.
“What!? How can that be!? As far as I know, that man is on the brink of reaching the First Rank.”
“You helped so that made the blow easier for . It was my carelessness that caused my defeat.” Tatsumi added. He did not want to disparage what A and Chen Fei had done. Furthermore, what he said was the truth.
If he were not careless, perhaps the exchange could have turned out differently.
“It is nothing but failure. So let’s not talk about it. I just want to know what caused you to be targeted by them.” Tatsumi tried to shift the topic to sothing far more important.
‘Since they targeted A, they must have an objective of so sort.’ Tatsumi thought. He did not hear Kudungga add sothing so he probably had to do this within his capability.
A hesitated since this concerned not only herself but probably sothing greater. Chen Fei felt the atmosphere was quite tense but no word ca out from his mouth. He could only listen to the two people talking.
“But this topic will put you in danger too.” A added.
“It is already too far too late for that. Might as well gather so information about who the enemy is rather than passively taking hit.” Tatsumi countered.
A sighed. Since Tatsumi wanted to know about this matter, she decided to tell him one thing.
“I don’t know exactly about them but they roam the underworld of the Comberth Continent. There is a chance that they are a splinter from the Snatcher. But this one is probably for sothing else.” A explained.
Tatsumi furrowed his brow. He had heard sothing of that matter during his communion with Kudungga.
‘Uncle said that there is a remnant of great power that hid itself in the underworld of the Comberth Continent. Are they the one?’
Tatsumi had to ask himself one thing. Why would they attack A despite the fact that they had to remain in the shadow and not step into the light?
Chen Fei then turned his neck to Tatsumi and asked, “What are you going to do!?”
Chen Fei was reminded by Hua Fei not to let the two of them get hurt.
Tatsumi forgot that Chen Fei was still here but he could co up with an idea.
“No, I’m just helping A with her situation. There is no way that I will get involved in this.” Tatsumi said while hinting with his eyes at A.
A understood the situation and said, “That is a good word to say. Take the initiative by gathering information about them rather than taking a hit passively. I will take this word as a suggestion. Thank you.”
Tatsumi inwardly heaved a sigh of relief. He knew that Sister Hua Fei and Nene were worried about him. But he could not let this enemy hurt those he held dear either.
So he had to do this covertly. But to do that, he needed so help…
“Now that we are done, let rest. My back still hurts so…” Tatsumi said while moving slightly, showing an uncomfortable expression on his face.
“Right, you are still recovering. Let accompany you here.” Chen Fei said while preparing the sofa in the room as his place to rest.
“If there is anything you need, you just need to press the button on the table.” A reminded before she left the room.
Tatsumi finally could rest. As he lay on the bed, he felt sothing in his body. It was warm and provided him with a lot more energy.
‘This feeling lasts for a while. So this is probably a transcendent energy source. This feeling is wonderful, it also helps with natural body recovery.’
It was at that mont that Tatsumi understood how he could recover so quickly and how the black-robed man survived the fatal wound.
‘I have to beco a Transcendent to better protect those I care. Other than that, I need to expand my influence. How should I do that?’
Tatsumi spent his ti in deep thought. He did not notice ti passed quickly or how Chen Fei snored in his sleep but he ford an idea about how he should do things.
One of the most important things to do was to tell Hua Fei and Nene about his decision. Tatsumi thought that since he had the talent for battle, he should take advantage of that.
After thinking for a long ti, he felt that his eyelids had beco heavier. Tatsumi did not resist the feeling and soon he fell asleep.
