[Poison Drawing Flute - 1500 Divine Credits]
[Poison Slayer Dragon - 400 Divine Credits]
[Marrow Cleansing Pill - 120 Divine Credits]
Seraph stared at the list, then slowly turned to Halo.
"What’s with those weird nas? Tch. Anyway, it’s the pill you were talking about, right?"
Halo spun like it was nodding.
"Alright. I’ll buy it."
Seraph imdiately bought it, seeing the small white pill appear in his hand.
["I’m sure that this pill would be enough to save that tsundere girl. You should go give her tomorrow."]
Hearing Halo’s suggestion, Seraph nodded, then turned serious.
"You... tell , was it interesting when you suppressed my emotions in my past life?"
The golden cube stopped spinning, as if the question had caught it off guard.
He turned towards it, his expression unreadable.
"I’m waiting, Lord Halo. Answer now."
["Sigh... looks like my absence finally unlocked enough potential for you to feel indignant and angry."]
Instantly, Seraph’s eyes turned cold.
"Is that so? You actually disgust more than I realize."
Halo just shook with a sigh. ["It’s fine. I and my master have expected this since long ago."]
Seraph’s eyes lit up, glinting with dark emotions.
"Right, right. You all seem to have an organization, right? I wonder if crushing that will help release a bit of my anger?"
["Hah? Kid, you surely don’t know what you’re saying. Our organization is far beyond what you can reach. You’ll only die trying!"]
Seraph wasn’t daunted. His lips split into a wild grin.
"Is that so? Good. Let die trying. However, I will have to wait so more and consolidate my power. Don’t doubt , Lord Halo. If I want sothing done, I’ll surely do it."
Without another word, he disappeared from his mind space and returned to the real world.
anwhile, Halo imdiately made contact with the higher-ups to report the situation.
The response it received was anything but pleasant. If it had a face, it’d have surely darkened.
["These guys really don’t know who Stephen is..."]
That sa day, after recovering enough and eating the food Sylvia had gotten for him, Seraph imdiately went to the Winter Peak and gave the pill to Tamar.
Just like Left, she fainted and didn’t wake up imdiately while the pill detoxified the poison in her.
Seraph didn’t linger, returning to the Soul Peak to continue his normal life. He was sure that Tamar would be fine.
.........
[Six Years Later]
In an open field, four figures stood opposite each other in pairs, wearing different robes. On one side was the Soul Cross Sect, and on the other side was the Inferno Sect.
A disciple from the Soul Cross Sect, wearing an inner court disciple robe, pointed at the Inferno Sect disciples and shouted furiously.
"You bastard! Daring to step into our territory today? Courting death!"
The other disciple remained silent, watching them with a cold gaze under their hood.
Seeing this, the two Inferno Sect disciples burst into laughter, pointing at the Soul Cross Sect disciples mockingly.
Abruptly, their laughter ceased, looking at the hooded disciple with caution.
"Ah?! Soul Pressure!" One of them cried out in surprise.
Imdiately, the other one grabbed his mate and shouted. "Run!"
They imdiately turned around to flee, but it was too late anyway.
A slender hand ca from the hooded disciple’s sleeves, and pulled back.
Right before the fleeing disciples, a wall rose so fast that they couldn’t react. They were imdiately smacked by the wall, sending them tumbling backwards. Before they could even fall, earth spikes rose from the ground and pierced them cleanly.
"This!"
The inner court disciple was surprised by the hooded figure’s ruthlessness and turned.
"Senior Sister..."
She cut him off. "I told you to not call that."
The young man could only smile bitterly and start again. "Sister Sylvia, are you sure killing them like that is... okay?"
Sylvia removed her hoodie, letting the fresh air blow on her beautiful face. If before, she looked average, now she had developed into a stunning beauty almost on par with her elder sister, Elder Song.
Without looking at the disciple beside her, she said.
"You are always too cautious, Right. The Inferno Sect dared to kill a few of our disciples in their borders. Who says I can’t do the sa?"
Instantly, Right fell silent and lowered his head.
So many things had happened in a span of years, and everyone had lost their innocence to the world.
They were no longer children who were only focused on cultivation. Now, things have changed.
"Let’s go back."
Sylvia took out a sword from her storage ring, then stepped on it, levitating midair. Right did the sa, levitating beside her for a mont before they both zood off.
After they left, another Inferno Sect disciple ca out of hiding, casting a fearful glance at the direction the duo departed to.
"So that’s the famous Earth Monarch of the Soul Cross Sect, huh? She’s really scary."
His body shook all over. "I have to report this to the elders."
Before he could move, he heard a calm, ethereal voice behind him.
"I apologize, but I can’t let you."
The next mont, his head was separated from his body, and the only thing he could glimpse from his killer was pure white hair like a divine being.
.........
Sylvia and Right returned to the Soul Peak, and imdiately went to Elder Song’s mansion.
The building remained the sa, though the flowers around it had been changed several tis.
The two of them entered after hearing her voice from the inside, stepping into the luxurious mansion.
"Elder Song. We ca to make our report."
The two of them cupped their fists and bowed to her.
This ti, the black-haired woman was wearing a one-piece velvet dress that hugged her curves perfectly, making her utterly desirable for any man.
She was standing by the poolside, gazing at the fishes swimming with a gentle smile.
"What are your findings? Speak."
Although her words sounded harsh, her tone wasn’t. Right even blushed, prompting Sylvia to shoot him a glare.
"We found four groups of Inferno Sect disciples encroaching on our territory. We warded off three groups and executed the last one."
"Oh?" Elder Song smiled, surprised.
She still didn’t turn around, though. She still kept looking at the pool.
"That’s alright. It seems those little runts have finally grown a pair to challenge us. Good, good."
Right shivered, sensing that her tone wasn’t right. Where was the voice that had made him blush just now? Gone.
"You can go now. Ah right. Sylvia, you stay behind."
Right imdiately greeted her once again and went out.
Now alone with her sister, Elder Song turned to face the young woman.
"Big sister..."
Sylvia’s voice quivered at the sight of Elder Song’s face. She looked terribly pale, like a person suffering from great ailnt.
Seeing her sister being worried, Song chuckled.
"Don’t be such a little girl. You’ve grown up now."
Sylvia bit her lips to control her expression, but tears continued to fall from her eyes.
Five years ago, Song had taken it upon herself to hunt the dragon that had laid the egg Sylvia and Seraph had stolen.
Although she won, she still suffered injuries from the battle. Still, it was worth it since the rewards from a dragon wasn’t small.
However, while returning, she was ambushed by an unknown expert, inflicted with a deadly poison and pushed to the brink of death.
Thankfully, another elder passed by at that ti and helped her fend off the unknown expert, saving her and bringing her back to the sect.
Unfortunately, she hadn’t been the sa since then.
Her cultivation had halted completely, and she struggled to find pills that could help her deal with the poison.
When it seed like there was no solution, Seraph ca and began administering several pills to her, stabilizing her condition and gradually helping her recover.
However, this was not without a cost. The most efficient thod of removing the poison from her was to use the Poison Drawing Flute, sothing that had cost Seraph a lot of Divine Credits.
This flute wasn’t simply, as it only drew the poison from her and injected it into Seraph.
Only then would Seraph go into closed door cultivation to detoxify himself and completely erased the poison.
The process was long and agonizing, and although Seraph continued to remove more and more poison from her, they were both suffering.
Sylvia wiped her tears and asked. "What about Seraph? Is he still in coma?"
The last ti Seraph had taken a large amount of poison from her, he had completely collapsed, and even his insanely high cultivation suffered, dropping by several levels.
Song smiled faintly. "He’s awake now. And he’s the one who wanted to see you."
Sylvia’s eyes widened, and it was only then that she felt a presence behind her.
"?!"
She imdiately turned around, seeing the young man standing right behind her.
"You... you’re fine!"
Instantly, she tackled him in a tight hug.
