Now reading: Chapter 347: The Young Doctor of the Emergency Room! from Pokémon: Ascension Trainer System, a Action novel by PokePals.

The Pokémon world contained countless illnesses.

Even the most common ailnts numbered in the thousands.

The evaluation of Healing Grace had begun at 13:17 and continued all the way until 17:13. Even after four straight hours, they had only finished testing the most frequently occurring Pokémon diseases in the Kanto region.

When Alie proposed continuing the next day with illnesses common to other regions, Ash declined.

He had agreed to the evaluation and dical training for one reason only:

To obtain an official dical qualification certificate and secure formal recognition from both the Joy family and the League's dical departnt.

He wasn't here to assist the Joy family with dical research breakthroughs.

He had no interest in advancing dicine.

From the afternoon's testing, Ash had already confird sothing crucial—

His Healing Grace could treat over 90% of all existing Pokémon injuries and diseases.

And that 90% figure was conservative.

After all, it even worked on terminal illnesses.

That alone spoke volus about its power.

From the day the evaluation ended, Ash began his routine of daily afternoon training at the Viridian City Pokémon Center.

His life didn't change much.

It remained orderly—busy, but fulfilling.

Morning: Trainer training.

Afternoon: dical theory and practical training at the Pokémon Center.

Evening: Battles at the Viridian City Battle Arena.

The knowledge study sessions he had previously reserved for afternoons were now broken into fragnts.

He studied during spare monts—

Waiting before matches at the arena.

After dinner during rest ti.

Though he no longer had long uninterrupted study sessions, and his efficiency dropped sowhat, it was a necessary tradeoff.

After the second afternoon of training, Alie openly praised his absorption speed.

"At this rate," she said, "you'll finish the full training program in at most one month."

-----

Three days later—

"Nurse Joy! Please save my Sandslash! I was battling soone's Vileplu in the park—my Sandslash inhaled a large amount of Stun Spore and Poison Powder! Please save it!"

A teenage Trainer burst into the Viridian City Pokémon Center, carrying his unconscious Sandslash.

"Inhaled a large amount of Stun Spore and Poison Powder?" Joy quickly assessed the situation and pressed the ergency bell. "Chansey, ergency room—now!"

"Lucky!"

Within seconds, Chansey rushed out with a stretcher cart. With Joy's assistance, Sandslash was placed on it and wheeled rapidly toward the ergency room.

The Trainer followed anxiously.

Click.

The ergency room doors shut.

The Trainer could only pace outside the corridor, heart pounding.

Inside—

The attending physician was not a seasoned adult Joy.

It was a much younger figure.

"Large inhalation of Stun Spore and Poison Powder," the report ca through the intercom.

"Understood," Ash replied calmly.

Yes.

The chief physician inside the ergency room at that mont—

Was Ash.

After several days of training, Alie had arranged his schedule:

13:30–15:30: theoretical instruction.

15:30–17:30: clinical internship.

Initially, he had assisted in general treatnt rooms, shadowing experienced doctors.

But after just one day—

Alie transferred him to the ergency departnt.

The decision raised eyebrows.

Even Ash himself had been surprised.

But once he officially began work in the ergency room—

All doubts vanished.

With LV.37 Viridian power, his Healing Grace could even treat terminal illnesses—let alone routine injuries.

Under his green light—

Toxins were neutralized instantly.

Paralysis dissipated.

Inflammation receded.

Recovery occurred at visible speed.

The Sandslash's breathing stabilized. The toxic residue was expelled. The paralysis faded. Within monts, it was conscious and sitting upright.

The original ergency doctors of the Pokémon Center were stunned.

The Trainers bringing in injured Pokémon were stunned.

And word spread like wildfire.

"Ash is working as the chief physician in the ergency room at the Viridian City Pokémon Center!"

"Which Ash?"

"Which one do you think? 'The Light of Kanto,' the future Indigo League Champion—the owner of Ash's Move Mastery Room!"

"What?! Isn't he a genius Trainer? Why's he suddenly working as a doctor? Is he switching careers? Didn't that reporter at the Pokémon Sumr Camp joke about him becoming a costic surgeon?"

"Not costic surgery! He's working as a Pokémon doctor! Is he really changing professions?"

"Please don't! I'm still waiting for him to beco Kanto League Champion! Didn't he say he'd reach the pinnacle of the Trainer profession?"

"Relax, you're all overthinking it," a local from Viridian City chid in online. "A few days ago my Pokémon got injured in battle. I happened to see Ash at the Center. I asked Nurse Joy about it."

"She said Ash is training because he plans to open a clinic section in his move-learning online shop. He's undergoing certification and internship. After one month, he'll leave. He's not becoming a full-ti doctor."

"Ohhh—so that's it."

"A clinic section in his shop? That's actually pretty smart."

"Yeah… the guy's not just strong. He's got serious business sense."

And just like that—

Ash's na once again surged across Kanto.

Not only as a prodigy Trainer—

But now also as the miracle young doctor of the ergency room.
