Now reading: Chapter 348: A Light for Kanto! from Pokémon: Ascension Trainer System, a Action novel by PokePals.

Using his psychic ability to help Pokémon learn moves, Ash opened Ash's Move Mastery Room.

Now, using his Healing Grace, he was preparing to launch a clinic section in his online shop.

"At this rate, by the ti he officially sets out on his journey in four years, he'll probably already be financially independent—maybe even on the Poke Coin Pay Wealth Rankings!"

"So what if he is? He earned that money himself—and honestly."

"Exactly! Instead of waiting for League subsidies like so kids from poor families, Ash chose to work hard and start his own business. Rember during the Pokémon Sumr Camp? People wanted to donate money and supplies to his family, and he refused."

"And now that he's beco a household na in Kanto, he hasn't gone on flashy shows, hasn't hyped himself up, hasn't taken endorsent deals to cash in on his fa like certain celebrities."

"He's opening a clinic section in his shop—and he's actually going to the Pokémon Center to study, train, and intern first. He's earning his money the honest way. What's there to be jealous about?"

"And don't forget—his move-learning service is affordable and effective. Would you rather spend a fortune on a Skill Disc and still risk failing to learn the move?"

"Yesterday my Pokémon was severely injured. I took it to the Pokémon Center, and guess who treated it? Ash. Under normal circumstances, it would've taken days to recover. With his healing power? Less than twenty minutes. Completely healed. No pain at all."

"As a Trainer who loves their Pokémon, how could anyone refuse that kind of dical service?"

Another Trainer chid in:

"Exactly. Whether it's a cold, fever, or a life-threatening condition requiring surgery—illness and injury are painful. If Ash can use his power to spare Pokémon that suffering, even if his clinic charges more than the standard Center, I'd still pay."

"Sa here. His move shop and clinic are contributions to society. Without him, we'd spend more money for worse services."

"Right. What he's doing benefits everyone."

"Maybe it's because he's so kind that he was blessed with such miraculous powers."

"Maybe his power is the world's gift to him… and his birth in Kanto is the world's gift to us."

Then—

A new post exploded online.

"Big news. Huge news. But before I say it, let's all take a mont to sincerely thank Ash and pray for him."

"My distant cousin's spouse is a Joy. I just got inside information."

"Ash really is training at the Pokémon Center to prepare for the clinic section of his shop…"

"But here's what nobody knows—"

"It's not going to be a paid clinic."

"It's going to be completely free."

The internet erupted.

People from Johto and the Orange Archipelago reacted more slowly—

But Kanto?

Kanto went wild.

Trainers had already been excited about Ash's clinic going live. Even those who assud it would be expensive thought it fair.

After all, speed, efficiency, and pain-free treatnt had value.

But now—

Free?

He was spending all that ti and effort training at the Pokémon Center…

Only to offer free treatnt?

Kanto residents couldn't help but recall the Pokémon Sumr Camp interview, when reporter Yoko had asked:

"What would you do if you beca rich?"

Ash's answer had been simple:

"Um… If I made a lot of money—more than I needed—I'd save so, so my mom and I wouldn't have to worry about getting sick."

"I'd buy gifts for my friends."

"And I'd use so of it to create a charity fund… to help kids from poor families like mine—kids who can't afford the initial Pokémon registration fees."

"I've seen rich people on TV do that. If I ever have money, I want to use it to help others."

Back then, countless viewers across Kanto had been moved.

They had felt his sincerity.

Now, though he wasn't wealthy yet, and though he hadn't established a foundation—

He was giving back in the way he could.

Not through grand gestures.

But through action.

"Honestly… Ash is a gift from the heavens to Kanto."

"And this isn't even his first clinic."

"From his social dia posts, we already know he's opened two."

"The first is under the Stone Bridge outside Pallet Town, treating wild Water-type Pokémon."

"The second is in Dashiwan Valley, serving wild Pokémon in Viridian Forest."

"And now this third clinic—connected to his shop—will serve Trainers' Pokémon across human society."

"The first two were completely free."

"And this one will be free too."

"For soone so young… his heart is astonishingly warm."

"Before, we called him 'The Light of Kanto' because he was a prodigy."

"Now, I think that title ans sothing deeper."

"He's not just brilliant."

"He's kind."

"He's like a beam of light—constantly illuminating darkness and bringing warmth wherever he goes."

"He's everything beautiful in this world wrapped into one person."

A final comnt went viral:

"I'm a married man. But I just want to say—Ash, I love you. My wife loves you. Our whole family loves you."
