Only two Sharpedo remained. Witnessing the destructive power of Slowking’s technique, they were so terrified that they quickly dove underwater.

Seeing their movents, Cain stepped forward, placed his hand on Slowking’s shoulder, and said, "Co on, don’t let them escape."

Slowking nodded.

Using his psychic power, he carried Cain directly into the water.

A barrier surrounded Cain, ensuring he didn’t need to worry about breathing.

"Slowking, use your psychic power to propel yourself forward and control the water currents to increase speed," Cain instructed.

Although Slowking’s psychic energy talent was greater than his water-type energy, he was still a water-type Pokémon. His speed underwater was impressive, and with the help of his psychic power, the two swiftly swimming Sharpedo couldn’t outpace him.

If not for needing to take care of Cain, Slowking could have gone even faster.

With all his strength, Slowking surged forward like a rocket.

"During the chase, start concentrating your psychic power. This ti, make the cone thinner and a bit longer."

Following Cain’s instructions, Slowking compressed his psychic energy into sothing spear-like.

He launched the spear directly at one of the Sharpedo.

The psychic energy spear pierced through the Sharpedo’s body the mont it made contact.

Its eyes rolled back, and the Sharpedo instantly lost consciousness.

Only the Sharpedo leader remained.

With a sharp flick of his tail, Slowking increased his speed once more.

Swish!

Slowking quickly closed the distance between himself and the Sharpedo leader.

With each use of his technique, Slowking beca more adept at compressing his psychic power. This ti, he ford two spears simultaneously, his tense expression revealing he was nearing his limit.

Swish, swish!

The two spears sliced through the water as if there were no resistance, heading straight for the Sharpedo leader.

Although the leader desperately tried to escape, it couldn’t avoid the incoming psychic spears.

Both spears struck the leader almost simultaneously.

The double impact left it no chance, just like the others. Its eyes rolled back, and its body floated slowly to the surface, belly up.

"Bring them back with us."

Even though these Sharpedo had been defeated, they still held value. Cain planned to capture them and exchange them for points at the Hunter Guild.

Upon hearing Cain’s command, Slowking used his psychic power to create tendrils that bound the two Sharpedo and dragged them back to the underground cave.

A minute later, Cain and Slowking erged in the underground cave.

The ground was covered with a pile of Carvanha and three Sharpedo.

Cain activated his system to scan the data of all the Pokémon on the ground, selecting those with potential greater than light green tier, and captured them.

There were three Sharpedo: one with dark green-tier quality—the leader—and the other two with green-tier quality.

Among the Carvanha, none had dark green-tier potential; only one had green-tier potential, and four had light green-tier potential.

In general, Pokémon with higher potential tend to have higher levels, and those that evolve into Sharpedo usually possess superior potential.

This demonstrated that a Pokémon’s potential significantly influenced its growth.

The value of all the captured Pokémon would likely be enough for Cain to advance to a Four-Star Hunter.

If one wanted to quickly rise through the ranks in the Hunter Guild and earn more money, the fastest way was to clear out a large group of wild Pokémon.

"Alright, we’ll leave the rest of the Carvanha here. They won’t cause much trouble. Slowking, speak with your group and see if they agree," Cain said as he stored the Poké Balls containing the captured Sharpedo and Carvanha.

"Yadon!" Slowking approached the group of Slowpoke and explained the situation.

Soon, all the Slowpoke nodded in agreent.

In truth, there was no need to ask them, as they had long accepted Slowking as their leader. Whatever Slowking said, they obeyed.

Once Slowking relayed the result to Cain, he said, "Alright, let’s go. Let’s bring Absol and its family with us."

Cain hadn’t forgotten that four Absol were waiting for him on the shore.

Fortunately, Absol had warned Cain; otherwise, they would never have discovered the endangered group of Slowpoke at the bottom of the lake, which also allowed Slowking to decide to evolve.

To Cain, Absol wasn’t a disaster beast but rather a Pokémon of good fortune.

After returning Honchkrow and the others to their Poké Balls, Slowking led the Slowpoke, who hadn’t been in water for a long ti, back to the lake’s shore.

When Slowking and Cain reached the shore, Absol’s mother seed to sense what was happening and was already prepared to leave.

"Let’s go back. Slowking, how many Pokémon can you teleport now?" Cain asked.

"Yadon!" Slowking responded with a cry, and all the Slowpoke emitted threads of psychic energy, linking themselves to Slowking.

"With this distance, we can make it directly," Slowking said to Cain.

Cain’s eyes lit up. There were over thirty Slowpoke and four Absol in total, nearly forty Pokémon. While the Slowpoke could reduce Slowking’s burden by linking their psychic powers, it was still an impressive feat.

Cain placed one hand on Slowking’s shoulder and the other on Absol’s mother.

Slowking’s eyes glowed with a blue light, and his psychic power began to surge strongly. Following the psychic energy threads, he enveloped all the Slowpoke in a large energy bubble.

After ten seconds of preparation, everyone disappeared from the scene.

When they reappeared, they were already in the backyard of Cain’s residence.

Slowking fell to his knees, covered in sweat.

It was evident that teleporting such a large group had been an enormous burden for him, nearly pushing him to his limit.

"Slowking, ditate and recover." Cain patted him on the shoulder and continued, "Slowpoke, you can stay in that pond for now. I’ll expand the area soon. Absol, you can also stay here for a few days while I stabilize the little Absol’s condition. It might take a few days."

Hearing Cain’s words, the Slowpoke looked worriedly at Slowking, who was ditating. However, they trusted the bond between him and Cain, so they obediently headed for the newly dug pond.

Absol’s mother, after a brief hesitation, also nodded and found a secluded corner to settle her three cubs.

Cain watched as everyone settled in and nodded with satisfaction.

He had successfully recruited a group of Pokémon.

Everything was starting to fall into place.
