Now reading: Chapter 421: Organizing Affairs from Pokémon: Chronicles of Freedom (Re-Upload), a Fantasy novel by GoldenDragonKing.

In the afternoon, Cain took his Pokémon to the mountains to clear out the Beautifly group, eliminating those with high levels but diocre quality.

So were eliminated outright, while others were captured to be used by new recruits.

These Pokémon didn’t hold much value in the market but were useful for quickly improving the skills of novice trainers, as long as they could be tad.

Beautifly typically has a calm temperant, so with the right techniques, it can be captured without much trouble.

Lower-quality and low-level Pokémon, such as unevolved Wurmple, were eliminated entirely. The previously captured Wurmple were sufficient, and Cain understood that hoarding low-quality Pokémon didn’t contribute to strengthening his forces.

While his Pokémon fought, Cain focused on training his psychic ability. Although his power had already reached the level of a beginner psychic, he still lacked so control.

The sudden surge in power had left a few lingering effects, but compared to the possibility of needing decades to reach this level, now it only required consistent effort to master.

With daily discipline, Cain was confident that he would soon reach the full level of a beginner psychic. Once achieved, his abilities as a trainer would significantly improve, indirectly enhancing his Pokémon’s combat strength.

After clearing the Beautifly group, Cain and his Pokémon ventured deeper into the forest. The mountains stretched widely, and the further they went, the stronger the wild Pokémon they encountered.

Cain needed high-level Pokémon to train his own and boost their combat power.

When night fell, Slowking used its Teleport move to transport Cain back to his base, which posed no problem given its current level.

Even though they had ventured out all day, they hadn’t gone far enough to make returning an issue.

Upon arriving at his base, Cain summoned Alec, Miyamoto, and Skye to the eting room on the second floor.

"Today, I created the hunting team in Verdanturf Town and appointed a trusted hunter as the sub-leader. All of you will join the team and work in shifts, two or three rotating groups. She will guide you on hunting missions," Cain explained.

"Miyamoto, I’ve also assigned you the position of sub-leader. In addition to capturing Pokémon, keep an eye on the new sub-leader. If any irregularities arise, report them imdiately. Respect her, as she is quite capable," he added.

Miyamoto smiled at this and nodded. Despite the sub-leader’s position, Cain’s words showed that he trusted him more.

"Alec, your responsibility will be to continue recruiting mbers for the Heaven team. Train them well; I don’t want us to face cases like those of the Black Serpent Gang."

"After an initial evaluation, assign Pokémon to the recruits. If they perform well, reward them with higher-quality Pokémon. Miyamoto will provide captured Pokémon daily to get started," Cain continued.

Alec nodded seriously. He knew Cain was entrusting him with a significant responsibility, but it also added pressure. He had managed so matters before, but now the situation was different, and he would have to start from scratch.

"These are the Pokémon I captured today, those with decent quality or levels. For now, Skye will be in charge of them, as well as the monetary resources and the Pokémon captured by Miyamoto."

"If you need anything, talk to Skye and keep a record. Financial managent will be in his hands," Cain said.

Although he trusted all three of them, Cain had the most faith in Skye, as he had been with him from the beginning. Even though Skye was the weakest in terms of power, Cain knew that with the right resources, he would soon catch up to the others.

Skye, with a serious expression, nodded. He understood that Cain trusted him but also recognized the delicacy of his position, as poor managent could create tensions between Alec and Miyamoto.

Alec and Miyamoto grasped the importance of Skye’s position, but for now, they were more focused on fulfilling their responsibilities. Power struggles would co later, once everything was stabilized.

"Have the mayor and his son shown any suspicious behavior?" Cain asked.

Alec stood up to respond:

"So far, there haven’t been any problems. The mayor’s son has noticed that so people have disappeared, but they were solitary individuals. We had Viper and his team patrol the streets to keep up appearances, so no suspicions have been raised."

"As for the Void organization in Mauville City, though it’s far away, the ti is approaching for the Black Serpent Gang to pay them. We’re not sure how to handle this, so we’re waiting for your instructions," Alec explained.

"Void..." Cain murmured, referring to that organization.

It was said that the leader of the Void group was at a quasi-elite level, aning he was on par with a Senior Officer of Team Rocket. Cain wasn’t ready to face him yet. However, he wasn’t overly concerned, as any confrontations would likely be with a subordinate.

"For now, don’t provoke the Void group. Instruct Viper to pay what they’ve always paid—no more, no less."

"Once we’ve fully stabilized Leafy Town, we’ll deal with them. If Viper handles the situation well, tell him I’ll make him an official mber," Cain concluded.
