The dawn of the next day brought with it a new purpose for Cain: to make this island disappear.
He had prepared machines obtained by exchanging a significant amount of resources with Team Rocket.
These tools could be installed on the edges of the island and, once activated, would make the island vanish from sight, although, in reality, it would still exist. What the tools generated was a virtual barrier.
This chanism was similar to the one used on Mythical Island but on a much smaller scale. The difference was that, while Mythical Island was extensive and complex, this small island only required a basic set of the virtual camouflage device.
Team Rocket’s scientists had perfected their designs based on the experience gained from Mythical Island, and what Cain had acquired was a state-of-the-art model.
Throughout the morning, Cain dedicated himself to installing the devices around the island’s periter.
Each device, resembling a miniature cara, was designed to resist common attacks and had solar panels that continuously provided power.
Even if the sun didn’t shine, a full charge could keep them operational for two weeks.
The devices’ self-sufficiency and autonomy were what led Cain to choose this model. With Slowking’s help, he carefully installed them one by one.
Without Cain noticing, a curious gaze was observing him from the depths of the ocean. A marine Pokémon, intrigued by Cain and Slowking’s movents, was approaching stealthily.
When he finished installing the devices, Cain activated the virtual camouflage system. Instantly, the island appeared to vanish from sight. Satisfied with the result, he headed toward the freshwater lake at the center of the island, the only source of drinkable water in the area.
This lake was crucial, as any Pokémon inhabiting the island would depend on it. However, Cain knew that after his previous cleanup, most of the Pokémon on the island no longer posed a threat.
He released the Pokémon he had recently captured, including the Magmortar he had caught on Mt. Chimney and the group of Trevenant and Phantump from the mysterious ruins.
At first, Magmortar was restless and aggressive, but after so ti under Cain’s strict supervision and the "training" provided by Slowking and Flygon, he had cald down. Now, just looking at Flygon made Magmortar tremble with fear.
On the other hand, the Trevenant and Phantump were filled with joy when they saw the forest surrounding the lake. To them, this place was paradise. They beca the guardians of the forest, taking care of it and ensuring it developed in harmony.
anwhile, Magmortar was assigned a specific area near the lake. Although it wasn’t his ideal environnt, he accepted it resignedly. Cain planned to use his special ability to incubate Pokémon eggs, making his role on the island essential.
He also released the Typhlosion family he had captured in the mysterious space. These Pokémon, accustod to the harsh conditions of the desert, found in this island a perfect place to thrive.
Cain encouraged them to reproduce, with the intention of overseeing their future generations and ensuring a stable production of Pokémon with high potential.
Cain considered relocating Carbink and its group here, but he knew this place was too small for a clan that would eventually be led by Diancie. Therefore, he decided to leave them in the mountains near Leafy Town, where they would have more space to grow.
Lastly, Altaria and her two hatchlings were brought to the island. Although this place was much smaller than Mythical Island, the tranquility and natural environnt made it perfect for them.
Cain knew that Altaria valued peace and serenity, and this place t her expectations.
In the center of the island, near the lake, Cain began building a basic camp. Although he didn’t plan to spend much ti here, he wanted to ensure that the Pokémon had continuous access to necessary resources.
He installed a basic teleportation device that allowed not only the transportation of Pokémon but also the delivery of essential supplies. He also set up a device for the production of Pokéblocks, which would be operated by Porygon2 with the help of Cain’s system.
Porygon2, under the control of Cain’s system, could perform maintenance tasks, manufacture Pokéblocks, and monitor the status of the Pokémon on the island. It could even transmit images and audio, allowing Cain to supervise the island in real ti, as if he were physically present.
The connection between Porygon2 and the system ensured that information about the Pokémon’s growth and developnt was always up to date. This would allow Cain to adjust his training and breeding thods as needed.
Thanks to this setup, Cain could divide his efforts between his usual work and the developnt of the island, accelerating his progress and moving more quickly toward his goals. Surpassing Steven and Cynthia no longer seed like an unattainable dream.
The teleportation devices also offered flexibility, as they allowed Cain to retrieve or send Pokémon from any location, as long as he had access to a compatible device. This functionality gave him a significant advantage over other trainers.
After finishing the installation of the devices, Cain allowed himself a mont to admire the result of his work. He had created a self-sufficient and safe refuge for his Pokémon—a place where they could grow and thrive under his indirect supervision.
Although the road ahead was still long, Cain knew he had taken a major step toward his ultimate goal: becoming an influential figure in the Pokémon world, free from restrictions and capable of exploring everything this vast world had to offer.
