Sowhere thousands of miles away from the Northern Military Division base, Shiko was flying ahead at full speed.
The progress of exploring Yveltal's ruins had ended abnormally quickly. Now that he had co out of them, Shiko's main objective was naturally to quickly gather the remaining fifty percent of Dark-type energy and achieve BlackGreymon's evolution as soon as possible.
As for that remaining energy, he naturally needed an organization like the Military to help him obtain it.
After all, Dark-type was a rare type, just like Psychic-type, Fairy-type, and Ghost-type.
Because of that, the number of corresponding Type-boosting gems and other precious items was very small, and their prices were especially outrageous.
If Shiko tried to collect them all by himself with his head down, there was no telling how long it would take.
So asking the Military directly was still the more reliable option.
Accelerating upward at an angle, his Chro Digizoid armor tore against the air and produced wave after wave of sonic booms. At that mont, Shiko looked like a brilliant bright-yellow teor.
With his power pushed to the limit, he fully felt just how formidable a base Speed stat of 150 was.
As he passed through a region of cloudbanks, Shiko suddenly slowed down.
A powerful unknown energy swept over him in an instant and enveloped him completely.
The white clouds were dyed black, dense as ink.
At that mont, he seed to be trapped inside a black cage.
Shiko's expression remained calm.
The Dragon Slayer claws snapped out, the alloy blades gleaming sharply. His battle stance was already set.
As his cold dragon eyes shifted, they clearly caught the dark-red flashes of electricity flowing deep behind that pitch-black space.
The space around him kept compressing and closing in on him.
The discomfort grew stronger and stronger.
Although he still had not figured out what exactly was happening, Shiko was obviously not about to keep standing by and watching.
He raised his arm high.
Then he slashed straight ahead with tal Claw.
The black cage shattered in an instant, and the scenery around him returned to normal.
That unknown black energy did not leave behind the slightest trace. It vanished completely, as if it had never existed at all.
Shiko frowned.
He looked around.
The winds were calm, the clouds light and still.
Everything that had just happened in that lightning-fast instant felt like so illusion that had existed only in his mind.
Shiko silently raised his hand.
Looking at the faint wisp of black energy wrapped around his alloy claws, so faint it was almost impossible to notice as it slowly dissipated, he fell into thought.
He never would have imagined...
...that this would cause a giant black egg buried deep within the prival forest of the Lighthouse Alliance to begin pulsing slowly, like it was breathing.
Inside the Northern Military Division, w's revenge had already begun.
Perhaps it was because of the unbearable mories of being controlled by Genjo earlier, or perhaps because the researchers had carried out experints and analyses on it, making this Second-tier Legendary feel humiliated.
w had beco violent and ferocious.
With a wave of its hand, four enormous energy barriers rose from the ground and stretched across all four sides of the base, cutting off every route of evacuation for everyone inside.
The only remaining escape route was to leave through the air.
But the mont they looked up, they saw w's tiny body floating directly overhead, like a god that held life and death in its grasp, looking down on them from above.
Everyone in the entire base was now like trapped beasts inside a cage, with no path left to survive.
No.
Perhaps compared to standing before a divine being, their situation now was even more insignificant than that.
Because directly above them, powerful Psychic-type energy had already been precisely condensed into blade after blade of Psycho Cut, every cold gleaming edge already aid straight at them.
