In the air, Dragonite continued its rhythmic dance.

With the pattern change, Arbok's speed skyrocketed. It turned into a black bolt of lightning, crashing toward Luxray.
Facing the oncoming Arbok, Luxray's fur stood on end. Instinct scread that taking this hit would be extrely dangerous.

A pale green barrier materialized in front of Luxray.
Arbok slamd into it with a deafening crash.
After a brief stalemate, the dragon phantom of Dragon Rush faded, and Luxray's Protect barrier shattered.
Breaking through the shield, Arbok didn't pause. It lunged forward, giving Luxray no ti to breathe.
It opened its maw and bit down with Poison Fang.
With no room to retreat, Luxray countered with a Thunder Fang, aiming for Arbok's neck.
Using the terrifying agility granted by the Speed Pattern, Arbok twisted its long body, dodging Luxray's frontal bite and sinking its fangs into Luxray's abdon.
And in the split second before biting down, the pattern on Arbok's chest shifted again—from Speed Pattern to Attack Pattern.
"Lux!!! —"
For most Pokémon, the abdon is a weak point. Luxray was no exception.
Add to that the Attack Pattern boost and the STAB bonus on Poison Fang...
Luxray let out a pained wail as Arbok's venom-dripping fangs sank deep into its belly.
Simultaneously, Arbok coiled its body around Luxray, binding it tight and preventing any escape.
